You can't win if you can't score goals. Right now Price would have to pitch a shutout to get anything. Same old same old as last year. Nothing ever changes. Weak, weak, weak group of forwards. Oh for the days of Lafleur, Shutt and Lemaire plus the Road Runner.
Somebody commented in the San Jose thread that one of the songs played when the players came on the ice was Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne. The Habs are currently on the Empty Train conducted by DD.
Sorry the M I picked your Gmen to lose to moeman's Steelers in my survivor pool. 5 guys left and for the 2nd week in a row, 5 different picks. Other picks to lose are Detroit (up 13-3 at the half to NO!), TB, AZ and Houston (down 7-0 at half). So go Lions, Bucs, Cards and Texans!!!
And if it means the demise of the Habs, go Kings. But really, GYMFHG!!!
Lots of options on the tele today. Of course there's the Habs coming up if you can stomach watching them attempt to play hockey in California. Then there's the NFL of course. And a 3rd option has Jones vs Hohman in the final of the Canada Cup of Curling, featuring 2 of the best (and cutest) mates in the game with Emma Miskew and Kaitlyn Laws. And last, but not least on PBS Andrea Bocelli is performing songs from famous movies.
I'll bet moe a beer that my Giants upset his 6 point favourite Steelers.
Just read one of the best descriptors of MT ever: "Sheer talent killer."
That miserable fuck would have ruined even Crosby if he had been allowed to. Rey Shero is smarter than Bargain Bin. A nice 10 game losing streak might do it. Then again... maybe not.
Upthread i noted i'd be ok with losing today if it meant the demise of the Habs. I meant of course the demise of AF. His continued employment is doing a fine job on the demise of the Habs as it is...
I've only watched the first episode when it came out and I had a free trial for HBO. It has potential, seems quite popular and by all accounts features lots of nude 'robots' of each gender, so something for all. I'll probably wait for the season to finish (that's probably soon), maybe binge it on the christmas vacation.
I know it happens both ways so not complaining about the call, but when did they start calling slashing penalties because of guys that can't hold onto their sticks? I know it's been a while, and i think it started when these new composite sticks came into use and break so easily.
Didn't see a lot of the game yet, but 4GA on 12 shots in the 2nd? That's a .667 save %age. Like moe says not Carey's best game, and even though I haven't seen the goals, I imagine the guys in front of him are at fault as well.
Great win for the little team that could. No shots at MT and DD.
Re: Westworld, takes a few episodes to really get going, I think the season finale is tonight. I like it.
I made moe's Asian 5 spice short ribs tonight with a few modifications. The ribs were way to pricey for very little meat, I substituted (at the butcher's suggestion) strip loin steak with bone-in and cut the meat up myself. Very tasty!
Exciting game, even DDD had a fever. Really liking Leko. What can you say about CHe execpt how could DBMB not have gone all in six for six, geeez. Little known fact due to the demographics the coach of the Kings must also be bilingual, must speak Latin.
Is there a lot of latin spoken in LaLa Land? E pluribus unum & Il dulce et decorum est pro patria mori are the only 2 latin phrases I know, and that latter one is the only thing I remember from my Grade 11 English Class in which my oft hungover teacher often had us "watch another flick". That was from a WWII movie but i can't remember it.
They say players like that 'earn' it. Imagine if PK was born on the other end of the colour spectrum and played for one of Buttman's teams. He'd rule the world.
This is the truth. Though I hate the Giants, I'll usually watch OBJ play ball every week, but he's been prima donna-ing it all season and it' aint' so fun to watch.
That should seal it. Quick survivor pool update. We're down to 4, the guy that picked the Lions is out. The guy that picked Houston is safe. I'm feeling 99% confident the Steelers will hang on and I'll move on. One has picked the Cardinals, the other the Bucs - they're both winning, but in close games. If the scores hold, it'll be down to a 50/50 chance of winning the $1.2K 2nd place is worth something - at least double my money back.
The Patriots without Gronk opens up the field a little more I think. It's been too long since the Steelers and Pats have met in the playoffs. At least 10 years I think.
gCHuck is okay, Dr Rechii performed and emergeny leg transplant. Unfortuntately DDD was the living donor and now gCHuck can only spin in cirlcles and fall down.
Alex Galchenyuk suffered a lower body injury on December 4 in Los Angeles. He went for medical testing in St. Louis earlier Monday, and will be out indefinitely. He will be further evaluated by team doctors in Montreal on Wednesday.
there are rumblings that Galchenyuk’s injury could be long term. Now having said that, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him play as soon as next game. Still, you have to imagine that there is strong chance he could miss significant playing time. But if you’re asking me on the odds, I have to think there is at least a 50/50 chance it could go either way. Look, am I expecting him back in the line up this week? You could say that. But then again, I will not be shocked to see him miss the rest of the year.
So...here we go again with a star player with a "lower body injury". In a couple of days Bergevin will make an announcement that he is out indefintely - 6-8 weeks he will say but he will never mention the knee - deny it is the knee or protest when asked because if anyone says it's the knee they are putting the player's future health at risk...and the GCHuk will be out until April, if he returns at all. I saw a highlight with the "knee on knee" and it looked bad - not illegal or anything - I mean bad for him. One of those "oh my - that's gonna leave a mark" type hits that for someone who has already had a major surgery on his knee is not good. But the Habs wont ever say anthing about it. Then some time in February we'll have an update and then Bergevin will bring in another D-man - because that's what the Habs need more of...As long as TFS stays healthy though - they will be fine! Joyeaux Noel everybody!!
or how about DDD, Superplexxxe and a bag of pucks for the Sedins. The Nucks get a jump start on thier rebuild and the Sedins get a face wash 10 times a year.
I got a feeling about this one.
ReplyDeleteGood or bad?
DeleteBoth.
DeleteIs it me or does the spaceship commander look like PatCHes?
ReplyDeleteCan they at least manage to win one on this road trip? Cripes.
ReplyDeleteI'm still hoping for a loser point!

DDD and PatCHes went on RDS to play EA Sports hockey. They came back and told AF playing your system is not like playing on Xbox.

PIT v. NYG should be a good one. CHannel flipping!
DeleteNo roster changes for #Habs vs Kings. However, 1st PP will feature 4 F, 1D. Weber, Radulov, Pacioretty, Galchenyuk & Shaw.
ReplyDelete2nd PP Lehkonen - Desharnais - Gallagher. Markov- Petry on D. Price starts against L.A.
300th game for gCHyuk.

You are on my FHFriend.
DeleteGO STEELERS!
Vodkov gives a beautiful pass to DDD and he waits and waits before he shoots.
ReplyDeleteHe didn't take a decent shot but tried to bank it off the players in front of BudyCall.
DeleteI like the first line of 67-27-47. Lucky 7s!

Maybe all the campaing from Calgary about Gaudreau's hand fracture after getting repeatedly slashed in one game.

ReplyDelete3-2 LA Going into the game, their PP sucked.
ReplyDeleteCash it.
ReplyDeleteCHe!!!
ReplyDelete3-3 Ché!
ReplyDelete3 points, so far, for CHé!
ReplyDeleteOuf.
ReplyDeleteNot TFS™'s best game.
D was hiding somewhere and left him all alone.

Shaw
ReplyDeleteYeah! 4-4 SSR
ReplyDelete5-0 PIT, feels like a hockey game.

ReplyDeleteGO GIANTS!!

ReplyDeleteHope gCHuk is OK.
GO GIANTS!!
NO GIANTS!!
Deletemoe wants that free beer!!!
I like watCHing a game and NOT falling asleep.

Thx theM.
DeleteThose ribs are tasty and yes expensive. I cheat and buy my meat on Mondays at 50% off (butcher's after weekend special).

Deleteyes the policy was implemented at the insistance of the VP, Quail.
DeleteNow on to the Preds.
ReplyDeleteBlues I believe they said.
DeleteI mean the Predators are on local programming so I'll tune in.
DeleteDecent road trip. .500 with one to go. Didn't play all that bad in the two 2-1 losses. I'd play Montoya in St. Loo.
ReplyDeleteGreat player but Doughty gets away with a lot of shit.
ReplyDeleteThey say players like that 'earn' it. Imagine if PK was born on the other end of the colour spectrum and played for one of Buttman's teams. He'd rule the world.
DeleteFUCK! C'mon Eli run the ball once in a while ffs.
ReplyDeleteINT on the 1 by PIT. Nice.
ReplyDeleteHow much beer do you put in your stew? A cup?
ReplyDeleteFUMBLE RECOVERY!!!!!
Not often you see Bell lose the ball but that's a clear fumble.
DeleteA full bottle, after braising the meat, cook an hour or so, then the veg.
DeleteYikes, I'll try 1/2 a bottle.
DeleteI don't make small batches so one bottle of dark beer and equal amount of beef broth. Cooks down perfectly.
DeleteTD GIANTS!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLucky the ref didn't see the holding. Does timfuckingpeel have a brother?
DeleteThat shit goes on all the time. They're taught to cheat and hope for the best.
DeleteI know. Just saying'.
DeleteBrown and Bell are fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteTD PIT!
ReplyDeleteI can almost taste that free beer ... almost.
Crap
ReplyDeleteBeckham should just STFU and play. The more you whine the less you get the calls.
ReplyDeleteHe's watching too much kadri.
DeleteThis is the truth. Though I hate the Giants, I'll usually watch OBJ play ball every week, but he's been prima donna-ing it all season and it' aint' so fun to watch.

ReplyDeleteAnother Eli INT.
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm ... Pit's coach's initials are MT.
ReplyDeleteYeah but he is likeable.
DeleteGo call by the head ref.
ReplyDeleteSACK baby!
ReplyDeleteOver.
ReplyDeleteWould you like that beer mailed to you? I can't guarantee it will arrive intact.
I'll take a virtual beer and let you know I am vacationing on the East coast next summer. It'll cost you two big pints. Hopefully we celebrate #25.
