Even funnier are the excuses blabs is throwing around to the SFU (who lap it up).

Devan Dubnyk. Wasn't he a Hab briefly? Never wore the sweater but I thought they had his rights for a bit? He couldn't carry Carey's (see what I did there?) jock strap. More SFU jealousy.

Also, I wish the media would quit referring to Davey as a "top center". He had one (1) good year playing between to big wingers. Davey wouldn't be in the league if it wasn't for therrien and the Habs. I don't wish the guy any ill will but let's be real. I'd rather have Lego back.

Off to the Sea Dogs game tonight, I'll pvr the Habs (even though the Devils bore me to death) and check in when I get home. Hopefully they can score more than 1 goal.

  5. Let's call a spade a spade here to start...DDD out for the season (music to my ears) - He is a fucking waste of a roster spot anyway so good riddance!. GCHuyk is gone for the season and that is a real shame! Ghetto is back up and should get a regular shift, which should be ok and if Big Mac is healthy he should be up soon too. What is deafeningly quiet is the sound of that other useless piece of shit Bergevin. The Habs are down to what?...one centerman? who's he jerking off in the bunker then? Oh - I forgot - he's on the market for a D man...my bad! I am, however, really gutted that GCHuk is gone for the year - but at least we are safe knowing that he won't get traded (even though they will listen to the calls that come in). It is now squeaky bum time boys...The Habs remain top of the league despite their fucking useless coach and GM but now is when the players have to earn their crest. Your leading scorer is out and you need to show the league that you are not the one man show everyone (including your own fucking GM, HEAD COACH AND OWNER) believe that you are. TFS can't put the net for you boys! Dig deep, kick ass...just fucking win! Go you fucking Habs Go!!

(I will qualify to save you all commenting...I know that the Habs have said that both Galchenyuk and Desharnais are out for 6-8 weeks - which means technically mid February - but that is never going to happen. GCHuyk's knee is fragile and blown - so I fear he won't be back. I can't see DDD ever playing another game for the Habs (unless we tank, then he's no. 1 cewntreman in April.

I concur on gCHuk. Even if he did come back in the eight week span, he won't be the same for quite a while. It took Price 10 months to recover so... they can't count on him to be a big contributor.

As far as Bargain Bin, his other GM confreres will only be tossing him boat anchors not life preservers. I think they will sink in the standings going forward but I thought that even before the injuries. They are weak up front regardless and are an easy team to shut down, especially in (if they make it) the playoffs. BB's hand are tied at the moment and his coach doesn't know what to do with skilled players anyway. He's a grinder. Dump and chase. That's what he knows. We will see how it goes but my bar is set real low.

      Delete
    2. generally I think BBB has done a decent job. Overeagar with stability with SuperPleXXXe, Y and DDD, but paying off with LB, Dish and KidA. For me the whole horse flesh thing falls down with DDD, and not trying out guys from the farm like every other team in the NHL does.
Secondly we have not had a true number one center since Damphouse. Could we not have put some foucus there. gCHuck is what he is, if he is not a 200 ft player deal, he is our number one center, give him that respect and fuck all the code.

  8. When TFS was injured BBB brought in all this 'leadership' and 'character' guys because of the collapse last year citing that lack of leadership left them unable to cope with 'adversity' so no problemo, they'll be just fine all the leadership will show them the way.

  9. So, what I'm hearing is AF is safe for another season, at least. We tank? Missing our "top" centers, blame it on injuries. We win the Cup? Hey...we won the Cup! We have the best coach...

So I'm guessing we have to suck it up, buttercup!

    Meh.

    3. Further, if he was playing with a broken foot AF would have known that and wouldn't have thrown him under the bus in public - not if he was injured, he would have known and no one else in the media mentioned it at all.

    2. I don't buy it.
1 - As much as I hate AF, he would not have said what he said and the way he said it (saying Galchenyuk and Radulov don't wait for Byron to get them the puck who's way over there pointing his thumb behind him and gesturing a nod, they go get the puck) when he threw PatCHes under the bus about going to get pucks knowing he was injured. And when he was asked last night he seemed surprised by the question in a way that made me think this was the first he ever heard about it and hesitated before answering also said it was a hairline fracture saying in French it's called a micro fracture. Sounds all too Senaturd to me.
2 - How is it that no one in the media (not a soul in French media either) besides Engels got wind of it before now, more than a week into December? Maybe they 'leaked' it to him to take the heat off.
3 - Why was PatCHes so 'reluctant' to admit it? Maybe he didn't want to lie but at the same time didn't know where it originated and didn't want to contradict anyone either?
4 - No, I'm not a doctor but why would management not sit him, get him healed instead of risking further injury to a player who usually scores 30+ goals? November is not the playoffs.
5 - They have lied so much last season that I find it hard to trust them at all and question more things now.
