  1. I love that you have included a photo of TFS not being pulled from his crease! A lot of things about the NHL are an absolute joke. I also love that this game is on at something like 8.30 UK time tonight - super bonus! Just fucking win boys! Go you fucking Habs Go!!

    2. I know they hate Montreal, but I'm still baffled over the lack of coverage on that decision.

  2. From a unimpeachable source!!

"But Montreal may be looking bigger...

According to one well placed source at least, the Habs have been discussing a "Big buy that would rival the newsworthiness of the PK Subban trade. A deal that would be aimed at separating them from the rest of the pack in the East.""

Its got to be BBQ for PFK

    1. That sounds like something a certain 'top secret' rumour monger would say.

      Delete
    2. The only move that could 'rival the newsworthiness of the PK Subban trade' would be if they traded TFS.

      Delete
    3. If they believe Lingrenn is the next Ken Dryden, welcome Travers. Garth Snow with his goalie obssesion would trade the whole team and all his draftpicks for TFS.

Hey moe, did you post the "STRANGER THINGS" Ranger game thread before knowing that
"Stranger Things actor Noah SCHnapp makes an appearance on the Bell Centre scoreboard during Saturday's game against the Rangers"? The kid from New York wearing a Habs jersey. Sweet.
    If so, strange things indeed.

  15. Bottom line on Big Mac. He has to learn how to skate. Many players cant skate worth a fuck like CHe but they get by because of the laws of thermodyamicas. When you are trying to move around a mass like that you got to be arerodynamic. The org could not teach Lebrow, so good luck mac, maybe you should look up Babs Underhill on the internet.

I read somewhere today with the emergence of gCHuk and Dan-O, plus with PleXXXe and Mitchell occupying spots, AF's favourite toy may be out of a job. Switzerland is calling.

Also, eklund says Swiss Mister No. 1, Mark Sreit can be had for a used handkerchief and is on MB's radar.

    Fraser:

'... Price's right pad protruded outside of the goalie's blue paint and directly in Hayes' path.
    and
...Price repositioned his right pad through the save resulting in a clamp effect to Hayes' skate and leg. This locked the two players together and eliminated Hayes ability to break free."

Big McM sent to the Rock. I envision him playing for a western conference team in the near future then returning to crush some little smurf of a Hab at some point. And getting the winning goal in a game. "In your face eMTy!!"

    1. According to Marinaro, Momesso spoke to MB and he was told they only want McM to play at centre and they wanted a left-handed shot on the 4th line. Maybe they think sounding like Bab$ will fly.

  56. Now last night's Pens / Caps game was very entertaining, edge of your seat, with Pens winning 8-7 in OT. I was hoping for OT just to keep it going. Caps were leading 3-0 then the Pens just went wild, Malkin ended up with a hattie, Lego scored a shortie and the tying 7th goal. No one sat back trying to protect a lead when they had it, they just kept pressing.

  59. The CP's explanation of the lone Vanek goal last night:
He stood in front of the net, obstructing Price's vision as he competed for position with Montreal defenceman Alexei Emelin.

Um, no actually he was off to Price's left and the puck, which was going well wide, hit him in the leg and redirected into the net. I guess journalism no longer equals fact. Perhaps it never has. Steve can probably fill me in.

  72. THis is the day for The Rock. Into the Hall or screwed over by MLB?

I listened to a bit about him on CBC on the weekend - the journalist doing the story had numbers that are ridiculous when you think he might not make it in. I can't remember the names, but he listed 5 or 6 huge named hall of famers and Raines' on base percentage and number of times on base exceeded them all.

I care little to nothing about baseball anymore, but Raines is my all time favourite Expo and he deserves to be amongst the greats.
