In Bruges is an amazing film BTW.
Can't help but think of Simon and Garfunkle's Slip Slidin' Away these days. You know if the Habs lose 2 and the leafs win 2 this week, they could jump the Habs with a win on Saturday. And still with 2 games in hand. Likely? No. Possible? Yes.
I can't think of anything positive to say so I'll keep quiet. It is a beautiful sunny day today so there is that and the rest of the week is going to be very mild. Can't wait for the golf courses to open. I'll bet the Habs can't either. Wait. Was that my inner voice or outer voice? ;-)
So McSplooge bet Gord Miller that the Habs wouldn't make the playoffs. Much as I despise McSplooge, as my father used to say, that's a stinky possibility.
Habs are still tops in the Atlantic...for now...it ain't over till it is so let's all channel some of the positive vibes we got from a nice weekend of weather into the Habs game tonight. I wonder if L'ac would consider Stef Pateryn as a guest? She'd be "colourful" to say the least...GO YOI FUCKING HANS GO!
Go you fucking Habs go!
HA! Though they would understand English but if they need help maybe PJ Stuck could help with translation if they need it.
Gotta love Mike Finnerty giving the what-fer to ol' Tony Clement - a little J-schooling love for y'all from Montreal's CBC1 affiliate this morning: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/montreal-daybreak-tony-clement-1.3991965?cmp=rssGYFHG
Plaid in, Dolly out.
Clod needs a chance to right the ship. These mid season meltdowns are becoming leaf like. Eeew.
Hey, students looking for a great summer job? Stop sitting on your couch playing video games, get outdoors and play real-life video games. Apply for a job with the city as animal catcher for some great outdoor fun action, we'll supply nets and equip your very own tranquilizer gun.
*equip you with your very own
I see the Dumpster Diver is at it again. As a former #7 D himself, our esteemed GM can spot those guys a mile away. And Moey is correct, these mid-season collapses go back to when Carbo was coaching in'09 and even before that. I can't figure it out. My guess is the talent just isn't there. Other than Max, CHe and gCHuk the other forwards would only be able to play for Chicago's farm team. It's fucking brutal!
David Cassidy announce his suffering with dementia. WowOne of my heart-throbs when I was young.
Mine too! That's sad news.
Also had a crush on Davy Jones of the Monkees, loved the accent too.
So Keegan Lowe is Kevin Lowe's son. So that's nice.
Clearly the start of something to get him to the Oilers. With DDD and a 2nd for Eberle.
who will be the next GM of the Montreal Canadians? Bergy has had five years and we are standing still.
We have 7 mill in cap space. Vanish I want to see him, Shattenkirk should be a reasonable rental. Could be do a Superplexxxe for Erberle or another oiler, with those CHanges the cup is ours.
also Squid, why not?
http://www.hockeyfeed.com/nhl-news/breaking-after-demanding-trade-nhl-player-s-wife-makes-bigoted-comments-towards-the-coachI am just guessing she is a Trump voter. How does that go about choosing your family but not your relatives? I am not going to be overly hard on her because you could make the facts fit her case. No matter Plaid is in the window with a on sale sticker on his helmet tonite.
I posted on the last thread along with this one too.http://www.danslescoulisses.com/fr/lepouse-de-greg-pateryn-a-des-problemes/
Seems it's official, BBB told teams he wants to trade him, per tweets here.http://www.danslescoulisses.com/fr/marc-bergevin-a-affiche-ses-couleurs/
Trump says it would be tremendous if he played for the caps he likes his wifes attitude
He got the Lego treatment. Player development not one of eMTy's strong points. Good point made by someone today. JDL first round pick, huge man, terffic skater, cant put a puck in the ocean, developed in house. Leko, less to the eye, same draft year second round pick, on pace for 20 goals developed in Sweden. Can we send gCHuck to Sweden till the playoffs?
Plaid was already number 40, now he is moving on up, DDD remains number 26, he is like a 17 year old at the orphanage.http://www.tsn.ca/movement-aplenty-in-the-latest-trade-bait-list-1.677343
mme Plaid should have stayed out of it, BBB likely took it personally when used the words 'french fucks'.This is even worse than when LeBrow's girlfriend when to social media. Mind you, I do think Plaid does bring more to the table, unfortunately his wife was at the table.
Mrs. Pateryn erred in shooting off her twitter comment about Francophones. She has every right to be ticked her husband hasn't been played (see what I did there?) but she went too far.FWIW, I really like Plaid's game. He's inexpensive and plays a solid #6 D position. He also likes to his.To me this could've/maybe would've been an opp. for DGMB to find some diplomatic GM balls and have. call with said husband/wife combo. One of the things that has fucking irked me is that the Habs once top rung classy marketing and messaging organization has either gone quiet or has just lamed out.So, I guess, with the latest news (fake?) Plaid is being shopped. Why? Is Keegan any better?
He also likes to his. Should be he also likes to hit.
Re: the marketing and communication thing. It seems like they are trying too hard to placate the francophone fans. When you look at the entire management team the only anglophone is Muller I believe. If they crash and burn again will he get the axe like Craig Ramsay did last year. Randy Cunneyworth was vilified by the french media. It's really becoming an "us vs them" atmosphere. Too bad really. Can't we all just get along?
As you know I am French Canadian. I see the team coaching side using the French angle (not in any favour of this) but I don't see the marketing group leaning one way or the other. I just see some disfunction. The Habs marketing use to be top notch, classy and sometimes incredible. Not so in the last while. I think they have become lazy.
It all starts at the top with a hockey team. Geoff Molson is the owner - he's not a hockey guy. The top of the hockey guy list in Montreal is where marc Bergevin sits...and he is a fucking liar...so until he is gone, the Habs are fucked. He can't get a center in a. Trade because he has zero leverage and every other gm knows it. He has no one who will trade with him because anyone they want he won't rade...eceryone he wants to trade no one wants...
In regards to Plaid, the player. I'd like to hear DGMB explain his case vs. Plaid's play. For a GM you bleeds having a lot of D depth, Plaid should be the last of his worries. I can see the player looking for more ice time as his career moves on but nothing Plaid hasn't done has made him cause for a league-wide memo of trade potential. Just STFU and wait for the trade deadline. If its me, I call Plaid and suggest we meet for a coffee and hey why not, bring your better-half (see what I did there?). Explain to Mrs. Plaid that he concern was appreciated, maybe even understood BUT the Habs' family doesn't spout of in social media like that. Too harsh? Not for me, be gracious and helpful and maybe even have a few Habs' wives call her for some added support. I wouldn't even have a problem publicly stating that I did as much. Regardless of whatever shit goes down, stay above it and show some class.
They should be doing damage control on this for two reasons. 1st its not going to help landing free agents by highlighting the cultural adjustment needed to play in Montreal. 2nd it not right to leave things on this type of Trumpian talking point. Maybe Plaid is a disposable player but he was a member of the team and this kind of toxic stuff needs to be handled.
Good stuff boys. No disagreement that (right now) it is all at DGMB's doorstop.Methinks a call from Serge Savard to Bergevin is in order before the trade deadline. If only to offer a word of encouragement, to manage as a winner.Whilst here, saw the tsn trade deadline ad. Lots of face shots of tsners, including the vile insidredger. Kinda cute that they use old warm milk lou as their go to GM pic. SFUnited.
I predict Plaid goes to the leaf for a third. as I remember he was what we got for the Grabvoksi
I just wish they would go with the best available person regardless of ethnicity or language, just like they supposedly do with the draft. Truth be told, I'm not enamored of the Julien hiring, I see it as re-cycling from a very limited pool even though even the SFU said he was the best available. Maybe he was, but the guy was just fired a week earlier. In regards to staff, I guess Timmins and some of the scouting staff are anglophone so there is that aspect. As much as I despised Therrien, it had nothing to do with his ethnicity, but his treatment of certain players like Eller, Subban and Galchenyuk, his favouritism towards Desharnais and the fact he never took any accountability for the team's failings. Whether Julien can turn things around, as Habs fans we can only hope but my expectations have plummeted to the bottom of the cliff. And that's based on what I have witnessed on the ice not behind the bench.
Attacking a people is never a good thing and makes one lack total credibility. I like Plaid and thought he never really got a fair shake. The fact that he was unhappy about his usage and relationship with AF was no secret given his own comments. His wife may have learned a valuable life lesson here.
Pretty much what I thought of MT2 theM.I also did not like his lame presence behind the bench. They coulda had Boucher. They shoulda had Boucher.
And who knows, he may even have asked to be traded.
if he did ask his wife for help it reminds me of Tangled up and blue. "helped him (her) out of a jam I think but used a little too much force" I have to admire her courage or blissfull ignorance in taking on the entire province of Quebec, talk about standing by your man!!
Hey if Keegan Lowe sticks around and ends up playing for the Habs, can we call him clenCH? I'm thinking kegal which leads to clenching. Just enjoying a meal and brew after work at a sports bar with about 128 tv's on the wall. Talk about over stimulation!
Try focusing on one TV instead of 128. Like the nickname suggestion. I was going to recommend clé.
Remember that blue cheese? Well tonight it is a nice slice of it on a delish piece of rare filet of le mignon. Garlic bread and more of the South African Syrah.
Fresh pan fried pickerel, perogies sauteed with bacon and carmelized onions, and The Famous Grouse....some of that scotCH stash I was talkin about.
All yummy! Meh, grilled cheese for me.
Pickerel is a fish fave.Sour cream in there, somewhere?CHeers to lehab's Dad.
Moey, add some bacon or even a little funky jam to the cheese.
Egg rolls and pineapple CHicken here.
juce, don't let the Icelandic PM know;http://icelandmag.visir.is/article/president-iceland-announces-he-would-ban-pineapple-a-pizza-topping
It's already banned in my house.
Hawian pizza is the best two fer. Add LB to the list, he just took out TFS in the warmup.
Moey, by funky I mean a nice dark fig or a chard'd apricot or a cab'd caramelized onion. Although some like the toe jam. NTTIAWWT!
Add McM, TFS broke his stick when he scored on him at practice.
Saw a tweet that TFS and Inigo were discussing whether they should send pics of their bruises since wearing new pants were implemented to the league.
Go Habs Go!!
Rags cheating on the icing to get extra time.
Well...it's bowling night, so I'm stuck watching the Jets game while I'm down at the alleys...in the gutter
Cool. Never played 10 pin but was really shitty at 5 pin.
Holy, BBQ tried to kill TFS.
Looked accidental. I'll let the AC gang decide if he actually tried. ; )
I hate 10 pin because I suck..bowled 5 pin for years and even went to the nationals one year. I used to average in the 240 range.. I guess I'm sort of like Tom Brady..more accurate with smaller balls
I think I hit 150, once. I kept trying to muscle the ball. I liked the shoes though. (see toe jam ref. up above)
Yikes. All three coaches have lousy striped ties.
Seeing eye goal.
... but Habs D out skated by a mile.
The D really have to smarten up.
Everyone watching the puck there while Zibenegad was all alone just waiting for a pass.
That is Zibenegad's entire career.
reminds me of Squid, lets through some Squid on the ice and see if it sticks, and Nail as well why not?
My point was the Habs need to be more aware of what's going on, you can't just leave a guy all alone while your backs are turned.
Been watching Taboo, for inspiration, GO Habs Go, beat the East India Company (Buttman and friends)
Nice! (skipped out)
Talk about shit luck, went off Dish's skate right to Nash's skate who was in front of him. ugh
Nash's stick, not skate.
Well just got home, heard the game on the radio 2-1 Habs. But both tv's have been claimed. I hummed and hawed and thought ok I'll try to stream it. Got a beauty crystal clear stream from MSG just in time to see Nash cash the tying goal FFS.
TFS is really taking a beating from his teammates tonight, who just pushed the Rag right onto him there?
Fuck off, McDonaugh pushed KidA into Lundqist.
I seen McDonagh get away with a lot of shit.
kidA helped by McD, but also didn't try too hard to miss Hank. But if you're going in, go in like Cryder I say.
Yep, but nice to see KidA getting his mojo risin'.
Habs should've worn their alternate blue sweaters. I've seen a lot of tape to tape passes onto Rangers sticks.
Might take a few games to break the processystem.
Rags had TEN players on the ice.
All that was missing was a velvet jacket.
MSG says but they didn't touch the puck so should not b a penalty.
Heh, they are nothing but a naturally occurring non-essential amino acid.
Nice passing, shoot the fucking puck.
Kijiji Montreal: WANTED - urologist for hockey team with a sore PP.
Did we ever give Souray a nick?
I think the FHFemmes just called him dreamy. Because he was.
Bleed (Y) bleed.
Another dumb penalty.
What are the odds of the Rags getting the game winner with EB in the box? Pretty good, I'd wager.
Sens with the W. Currently ahead of the Habs due to fewer games played. All part of the Habs' master plan to play against the 3rd place Atlantic team rather than the 4th place Metro team.
One point, get another.
And boom! Habs back in first with at least a loser point. Damn, there goes the plan!
Go Habs Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Laine showing up vs. matthews. The SFUers will make sure Laine does not win the Calder.Go Jets.
Whatever happens, I'll say the Habs have looked great in net and pretty good defensively. That's a start with a new coach.
Yep but cannot sustain any type of offence. Need a top 6 forward.
That's a big 10-4.
W O W !
TurtlePING! and TFFS!
Names starting with Z...says AV
turns out I was on delay and tried to use my mind control. Didn't work.
Put Leko in.
Build on it, give CJv2 the puck, work on the new processystem.Still, in, first!
Beat a very good Rangers team without much offence. Your move BBB to make sure this team is playoff ready. Night all.
Well, they look better than they have in a long time and TFS seems to be getting back to his old self.
Yep. Not a great game but vs. a top team, take the 2 points and see-daddle!
all is not lost, just the thing we want the most, the cup
One more thing of note. Pleks dings the crossbar, Rags go back the other way, TFS makes a huge save, rebound comes back to Rags player with still 3 seconds left and Pleks raced back to knock that puck away. Great night for PleXXXe.
Wow. Things we know for sure. Price is ruthless. He obviously didn't appreciate being bubble wrapped by MT. The minute American Pharoh showed a couple of beads of sweat on his brow he was pulled from the race. Hence the death stare. Okay then. Onwards and upwards I hope.
TFS™ ties Ken Dryden, #29 with his 258th win.I selfishly hope Carey plays for no other NHL team, ever.
CJv2 gave CK the responsibility of the SO players.
I didn't know Lb was next up when I said to try Leko. All good.
Also nice to give gCHyuk a chance.
On BBQ's goal KidA, once again, stood in front of a 103MPH shot.
SSR looking good under CJ2. DDD looking good under the bus.
Oh no Mr Bill, gCHuck and N8 are being fingered for being glimmer twins. We dont need no stinkin party in Montreal.
Blob says this isn't the first time BBB put out a ATB (all trade bulletin) on Plaid.
You like offence? You like goals? Saint John loses in OT to Bathurst 8-7. Any coach in buttman's league would have a heart attack in this game.
