I've finally figured out a plan on how to watch the Habs and maintain a semblance of decorum, along with keeping the blood pressure at an even keel.

Start watching in October and about the middle of December or even a bit earlier, shut the fucking tv off until March 1st or so. Pick up from there until the end of the regular season or into the playoffs if applicable.

That was easy. Probably save on alcohol consumption as well.

  2. Huge congratulations to PK who was bestowed with Meritorious Service Award by our Governor General.
    Better than a King Clancy.

  3. It's a damn shame that this Canadiens organisation couldn't recognise what they had sitting right in their own hands.

  4. Errol out, King in. We need nicks.

I don't know about a nickname for Dwight King... maybe HRH (His Royal Highness) but I just saw a dandy for the Norwegian Hammer Andreas Martinsen... THOR!! Love it!!

    1. I like Thor but he may not live up to the God billing. His mates call him Orca, but I still like Rollo

    HRH Dwight King 6-4, 232
    Thor's Hammer Martinsen 6-3, 220
    Harley Davidson 6-2, 210
    Wrong Benn 6-2,200
Ott Too 6-0, 189 (professional whack job)

I gotta admit the Dumpster Diver at least put some fear into his eastern conference rivals. Bet the SFU will be whining when their smurfy leaf gets run over. Karma, bitches.

Other than that...the fact i can't be assured of finding a good alternate for sports is the only reason I still have cable. Otherwise I'd be streaming it too, even if I lived next door to the Bell Centre.

onhockey.tv used to work pretty good.

I'm not ready to cut the cord. Rogers gives me a good deal on a bundle, I budget for it so why not?

  9. Thanks Saint Paddy...I always forget about that one. Going to bookmark it now and see how it goes later...might end up being too late for me but I am interested to see the reception PFk gets...part of me wants him to score a goal, low five mme B then call out that liar Bergevin when he is named the first star...and let's be clear...short of the Habs shutring the preds out 8-0 PFK will be one of the 3 stars tonight. Bet your house on that!

  10. Bonus, maybe HRH can mentor McM on how to use that big body more effectively.
I was impressed with the small 1 game sample of J&B's play. I think he's probably a better version of Plaid. Or perhaps a version of Plaid, had Plaid been properly coached.

Looking forward to see PK's reception.

    Replies
    1. Yep. I think PFK's reception will be loud and proud.

Speaking of standing Os, I will never forget the greatest standing ovation in NHL history, the one given to The Rocket. Man, that sent CHills through me. Also, too, it would be too cool if PatCHes won the rocket Richard trophy.

  11. you guys think the team will do anything? im seriously having some doubts this org still has the class to do that. they could always cop out and say he was never a cup winner nor was he ever a team captain.

last night, i finally brought myself to watch all the tribute videos made during the summer by the fans. all of them were merci beaucoup, thanks for the memories, bonne chance, pk... that really hurt in the summer and after watching them, i felt like a good friend died or something. i feel so incredibly sad. i think im still in denial. brothers, this is different than when st. patrick went b/c he did something bad. this is different. pk was/is/always will be innocent. i know i know... all those things marinaro said on the radio means something, but officially, PFK is a good guy and didnt deserve this. it hurts. gawd it hurts. and no amount of vaseline is gonna do squat!

on another note... martimer: did you make one of those youtube videos? theres one really good one made by a dude using ure name!

    1. Heh, if (our) theM. is making Youtube vids I want to subscribe. ; )

I think Marinaro's comments are also based on his personal opinion. Most shows today were positive but when Marinaro spoke to Vignan he tried to get him to say something negative about him.

Whilst here, RDS should just keep their hate bottled up and appreciate the ratings they had/have when PFK plays on their station.

  17. As difficult as it was to remove the PFK icon from this blog's page, I'm over the trade.

I miss the excitement PFK brought to every single game and respective blog threads he/we was/were part of.

There is no bigger/better spokesperson for the game. Sid is there. Some of the new faces too but no one speaks as well and is as vibrant a personality.

    I ♥ PFK.

Also, for those who played, how many ALWAYS kept a hand on the goalie knob?

Congrats to kidG and lB for busting their slumps, couldn't have come at a better time.

Did HRH lay out any big hits?

The next time they play Ottawa they need to dress all the big boys plus Ott. Then, every chance they get throw the puck into the corner on Karlsson's side and go get'im. Let loose the Hounds!!
