Gather 'round ye olde pole for an old-fashioned stripperriffic Rags Game 4 preview and open thread

Greetings kidz! 'Tis I, your old-fashioned once and future adult entertainment leader 29 kicking it old school for his debut in this here playoffs. How does this work again?

Waiting in line details - 7 PM EST start (EDT? I never know what the clock change gets you to) from famed Madison Square Garden. It's really the only old-tyme iconic hockey building left, right? That's sad. Game on CBC, TVA Sports, and MSG Network and NBCSN for you Americans. For you cord-cutters and foreigners / ex-pats, I am sure Steve can fill you in on the online options of questionable legality. Now, I have a confession. I really don't mind Paul Romanupchuck. Sure he's CotU and biased, but he's a serviceable play by play robot. It could have been way (*cough* Cold) worse. I love this mysterious factoid from Paul R's Wikipedia page - "he did not call a single 2016 NHL conference final game for unknown reasons."

Pay your cover CHarge to - Blue Seat Blogs. They've got everything you could ask for in a DIY amateur blog. Hideous layout, badly formatted photos, an insane amount of ads paying them 2 cents a month, and a wonderful mix of honesty about their own team ("Last night’s loss was the worst playoff game the Rangers have played at home in quite some time" "the defense should also be ashamed of themselves") and disdain for their opponents ("Montreal is not good and is not deep. They have top-end talent, but their depth is terrible"). Completely inaccurate, but that's what I look for in a blog.

Hot sexxxy Habs to watCH - Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché! Ché!

Speaking of Ché! you should head over to Scott in Montreal's blog and read his excellent Amazing Ché parody. Did you know Scott has a blog? Did you know Scott is some sort of guitarist of note in Montreal's bar scene? The more you know.

Skanky Habs to watCH - Not much to complain about right now. I suppose we could use some goals from PatCHes, but he's got 17 shots (leads the NHL) and is working hard, they'll come. And I think N8 seems a little lost.

Hot sexy Rags to watch - King Henrik no doubt. Without him the series is over already. And even this hetero male will admit he is HOT. And SEXY. Look at him! Yowza.

Skanky Rags to watch - All of 'em, Katie.

Not dancing due to too many vodka Red Bulls - (Y)E skated again in Montreal yesterday, some are reporting he'll be back before the series ends. As of press time, I have no lineup notes. I think I used to do this much later in the day.

Post-game adult entertainment establishment - Rick's Cabaret and Steakhouse is famous for a reason and has everything you could ask for in a P-GAEE. Huge, classy, beautiful ladies, aged to perfection steaks and listed on the NASDAQ. Wait, what? Also, very conveniently located about a block and a half from MSG. Not that I would know. You could even go before the game too, as they have a $10 prix fixe lunch. It's a steal! Again, not that I would know.

  2. that was old school stripperific HF29.
I just hope CHe does not read it, he is only one Romanian stripper away from disaster.

I was its not illegal in Canada watching the NBC feed of the leaf. As a promo they are showing the CHe one handed Forsberg in traffic. I am still livid with Rodgers for not providing a free Golden Stream to Hockey fans from coast to coast. Just once I would like to see the cops go the corporate towers, beat up the execs and haul them out of the cubicle mumbling I was just trying to make a buck. I am a million mile flyer with that airline and aside from the time they made me spend a weekend in a Bangkok Prison, no complaints.

I have to give props to the leaf, but they are running and gunning and Holby cant stop a beachball right now. In a land where hype passes for evaluation we are looking good. Best D man BBQ, best Goalie TFS and best forward CHe, plan the parade.

    GO You FUcking Habs GO!!

    1. from the Blueshirts Blog. Attention DGMB Its a sad day when I know more about hot Russians than Habs management. Speaking of the brain trust, so far post season they are looking like the winners of the dumpster diving contest. The BBQ for PFK trade looks as relevant and the TFS vs Halak debate. Only Dolly has been a disappointment.

Don't look know but PFK's team has a stranglehold on their series with Vegas' odds on favourite. I think he is doing OK as well.

Whenever I see the Dumpster Diver I imagine stains on his fancy suits and a banana peel hanging off his head.

    3. "I’ve been thoroughly impressed with him defensively, his chemistry with Mattias Ekholm, the fact that they handle the big strong bodies," Laviolette said. "Defensively he’s been excellent for us."

Consecutive shutout victories against the Blackhawks in the first two games of the Predators' first-round series were the result of team-wide efforts.

The play of the Predators' shutdown pair of Subban and Ekholm has been an element of that success, having a role in silencing the Blackhawks' biggest offensive threats before Monday's Game 3 at Bridgestone Arena.'

Imagine, a coach actually giving PFK a public pat on the back about his defensive play. AF would never do that, his goal in life was to run him out of town before he even coached his 1st game making him sit in the stands to 'learn' the system after he signed that bridge deal - huge mistake by BBB who had to pay him top dollar later after he came to the table with a Norris and Gold on his resume.

    4. eMTy was the Kim in the bad kimCHi that DGMB choose to feed the Habitats as real pea soup.
CH remains in the AHL when he should be up here, if he can skate he would push SSR down the line. N8 is still on the shrooms he had to do to get over the eMTy Ptsd. Quell surprise freed of the system the Rock is in the playoffs. Follow this trainwreck. Lego was not a brick needed when we had DDD, this is all on eMty. Lego has not made fallingwater in Washington. He remains a Danish icon who cant deal with predator drones. I was so sad to lose the best avatar ever, a Golden Girl exclusive, that I appropriated. Then came CHe, I picked stripperific on that, my broken Lego heart has not only Cheated its gone all Dr Phil " you need to forget about Lego and move on, you say you might find love with CHe well explore that"
I can say with no certainty that had DBMB not made a deal at Home Depot to get a overpriced
      used BBQ
we would not be in the playoffs
like Halak PFK is a stud
like TFS BBQ is a franCHise savior
      lets never talk about this

  6. On the 690 about the refs talking to gCHuk about his celly,

    - They reached out to Dan Robertson who calls the games and he said he wasn't aware of anything.
    - How would you even know what a ref said from over in the broadcast booth?
    - If the ref had something to say, he would have addressed the coach not the player.
    - If there was anything to talk about at all the cameras certainly would have focused on it but there was nothing.
    - None of them has ever heard of a ref addressing how a player celebrates a goal before.

This isn't the NFL, who cares if/how a player celebrates. Well, except maybe Arnott.

  7. Thanks for the shout-out 29! Cheers and GHG

How 'bout that PFK and his Preds taking a 3-0 lead against the Hawks?! And Broons losing four of their top 6 D and STILL being totally competitive with the Turds! And Trahna taking two of the first three in OT against Ovie's Chokers?!?! Two choker teams up against one another, I guess it's to be expected, actually. And the Pens?!?! Up 3-0 on the John Fart-o-rama BJ's without the awesomely named Murray in nets ????!!!

I am so joyfully ignoring the CotU mediots in my TSN690 and/or francophonic milieu.

    3. Surnames I have two. No hyphenation. My bio mother was very fertile, and this was during the 1950s when Monsanto never imaged multiple familial generation in this nation. I kid you not, I find half siblings like pro players find easter eggs in the latest games. My legal name is Rinne like Peka. Cuz is good. Mom sold me to someone else and my name CHanged but I still feel, especially under Trump finished:) Just kidding, being adopted has never been a small reflection on my pond. I had the greatest non biologic parents ever. My Dad was real player and his brother even better. Played for Eddie Shore the lore
of roped to chairs et al, neither made the big leagues, but in my hometown, they could pass totally bad cheques with no question. NOT THAT THEY WOULD DO THAT

  8. Holy Shit - Welcome Back 29! Haven't had one of these in a lifetime - no disrespect to Moeman of course - I am so so happy that no one in the UK gives a rats ass about hockey so I don't have to listen to how the leaf will win the cup. I had been streaming the CBC feed for games 1 & 2 but the CBC didn't offer up Game 3 and I don't know if Game 4 will be available either (The technical side of it now follows: The CBC ofers live streaming for some of the HNIC games shown on the CBC. This is available only to Canadian residents - so I use hidemyass.com and create a VPN that says I am in Canada - thereby enabling me to watch the CBC feed. For Game 3 and (I suspect) this evening's Game 4, I resort to www.onhockey.tv - which is, I believe, a Eastern European streaming service that has links to any number of feeds showing the game. After selecting the desired feed (trial and error for desired language), you endure 30 seconds of some gaming ad, then you have a perfectly decent game to watch. I usually select a Youtube feed as it is the clearest and most likely to be in English. So we shall see what tonight brings.. Go You Fucking Habs Go! * Note: Other streaming services are available...

It was to be expected but the SFU are full bore that their laffs are Stanley-bound. WTF? Getting a little ahead of yourselves aren't you? The Lego Caps are not done by a long shot. It will be sweet when the loser leaf are eliminated in Game 7 in D.C. with Trump's Homeland Security holding #43 at the border for questioning.

In the meantime, I fully expect the Rags to come out of the gates like a Mustang Bullitt, Price better be ready for the onslaught with CHe and gCHuk waiting in the wings to take advantage of the inevitable turnovers. Fuck you romansuck and gawley.

"Trotz takes blame for Ovechkin's ice time"
"Maple Leap: Toronto closing on the unthinkable against Caps"
"LeBrun: Game 4 will be a defining moment for Capitals"
"Leafs players amused by #DartGuy phenomenon"
"Leafs emerging as best story of the playoffs"

  17. I could reflect 29's tsn pathetic headlines with snOt's long list of shit but will suggest that the most moronic is snOt's 'Matthews matrix' schlock. I'm holding back but will say that the SFU is losing it's collective mind after their team squeaked into the playoffs after the Pens iced less than 50% of their team in that 'miraculous' victory and have won only two games (not suggesting WAS hasn't shit their own bed). Whatevs as the kids say but if and when I do scan the SFU sites and happen to hit an article, I read he first and last paragraphs and nothing else. The level of sports journalism/writing is putrid.

  75. i wish i had ure TFS indifference stevo, but im worried. this was their chance to show a killer instinct to put away the rangers. instead they should be glad they going home 2-2 instead of 1-3 (plexx season saver)

  76. So I missed what...? Nada...a repeat of Game 1 from all accounts. Oh well...best of 3 now...

Mornin' FHFolks, watched on pvr delay, this was not unexpected, I figured this was going 6 or 7 games. Geoff Molson and James Dolan heartily approve! Seriously, two pretty evenly matched teams with elite goaltenders. Habs have to bear down and win on home ice and it would be nice if Max would COME OUT OF HIS FUCKING COMA! Jeebus that guy is frustrating. I'd like to transplant kidG's heart into that body, you'd have a hockey player!

After giving it some thought, I have to agree with the assessment that this is the most talented Habs team in some time. I still don't think they are talented enough to win the Cup, although Chicago are getting their asses kicked by Nashville. Who saw that coming? The only thing that scares me is, who does the littlest commissioner want to win, New York or Montreal?

Wow, just saw hnic's ad for tomorrow's Habs/Rangers game (on mute), sure looked like a pro-Rangers piece to me, Ranger goals, Habs getting pummelled, Price getting run over, Nash celebrating, Lundqvist.... can they show their disdain and hatred of Montreal any more clearly? Well done cbc/snot you bunch of anti-Canadian fucks.

    2. What a load of horseshit. ChrisMFlee calls off a caps goal and the contact was clearly initiated by and continued by Andersen.
