  1. WOW! Wonderful indeed! Do NOT ask me to choose. Lynda Carter still looks great at 65. I'll take an Amazon sandwich please. This movie is definitely on my must see list. It would really help everybody move on from PK if WW would lasso BBB and finally get the truth about the trade.

Saw the pic of Robinson and got excited. I haven't been following the sports news lately and thought maybe there was a hiring I missed! Nope. Just a great pic of a great man.

    NOAR moeman!

    Happy Wonderfully Sexy Friday.

  4. Nilan likes to get the BBB supporters. Yesterday Burke, now he's got Tremblay singing BBB's praises. This morning Marinaro had Wilde to get his opinion and he also defended him citing the teams record when he took over and their record since then saying it was among the top in the league though they still need a centre.

  11. I watched the first and second
Nashville fans are great and annoying as hell. Would love to be either in the rink or outside.
Nashville sweaters are worse in the stands than on the ice. I found watching the game claustrophobic.
Hockey intense but all 3rd lines.
    Nashville D the big four.
    Syd and Malkian not dangerous
    Preds dominated
    PFK played big

  12. Watching Milos at the French Open. He doesn't make it easy on himself with about 3000 unforced errors. Seems to be the same story every time i see him play. The camera keeps focusing on 3 beauties in the stands right behind where Milos sits for his breaks. Not sure if one or all of them are his girl. He's good either way.

Word out of Mtl seems to be that N8 is likely to be left off the protected list, so he'll probably end up in Vegas.

Steve you're a FTWD fan right? Should I watch that 2nd half or just skip right to the new season?

    2. FTWD has moved up and TWD has moved down and now they are both just Zombie soap. What is interesting about the FTWD is how the characters are not all stoic and heroic like TWD but actually off the wall like Nick and his dear departed step brother.

Have not watched Leftovers yet, but the reviews say LOST 2.0 done by the Beatles.

House of Cards is IMHO spot on again, which likely means there will be no season 6.

We may have some interesting CHoices at number 25, the rags pick at 21? We can go with two stratagies, pick the best pure wool Comatos, or take our second choice at 25, our first choice at 25 seems to be always wrong.

  28. Sid pushing PK's head into the ice at least 6 times lying on top of him while Brad Meier just watches until PK gets up THEN he blows the whistle and gives them each 2 for holding? With all his concussions Crosby knows exactly what could happen there. If you watch the replay you even see that Crosby is also holding the butt of his stick in the same hand he's shoving PK's head into the ice with. Damn sure if PK was doing that to Crosby he'd be suspended. Of course Milbury says PK had it coming.

Crosby later tosses a water bottle on the ice during the play and not even a penalty. He later claims oops, it was an accident, musta slipped from my hand?

'Letting them play' is one thing but this was not letting them play, it was letting Crosby do as he pleases while throwing a temper tantrums.

I remember watching an interview with Adam West not long ago. He was talking about how all the movie Batmen wore the sculpted costumes with the pecs and abs and in George Clooney's case, nipples. Adam said when he was Batman what the viewer saw was "pure West". I remember the first time I saw the TV show back in '66 that I was puzzled by the fact that Batman didn't really look like a superhero. Still, as a 12 year old I loved the big fight scenes and the POW, BIFF and WHAM sound effects on the screen. Great memories!

I finally got around to watching season 2 of Daredevil on Netflix, brutal, bloody fight scenes by comparison. I like the actors though, especially Jon Bernthal as The Punisher.

Now he tweets 'Félicitations...congratulations Pittsburgh!' You can bet your last nickle he was rooting for the Pens and probably got on his knees every night and prayed the Preds wouldn't win to avoid a worse PR nightmare. He probably had many sleepless nights.

Too bad that Rinne couldn't stop a beachball in Pittsburgh. Reminds me of how Lunqist and Rask were at the Bell Centre.

You would think the NHL would be able to find competent officiating, 2 non-calls or offsetting for Crosby last game (that's just the latest few) and a ref out of position prematurely blows cancelling Sissons' opening the score in an ELIMINATION game of the Cup Final. Sounds like sour grapes but if you watched all the games this has been an issue. Anaheim officials were simply atrocious too.

NBC rep was strolling the concourse offering Preds fans free hats in exchange for their anit-Milbury signs so they wouldn't be seen on TV. Hats? Seriously? Fire the loser's ass.

Congrats to the Pens and congrats to the Preds coming within 2 wins while missing their top centre and losing Fiala vs Blues. PK can hold his head high, he played great during the playoffs and only a hater would say otherwise.

Should we ask the league to have a lottery this year, and maybe we pick first? Pittsburgh model, my ass. I mean, they got the best player in the game in the lottery. Ray Shero’s done a good job. He’s an excellent GM and he’s a friend of mine. But I love when people talk about the Pittsburgh model. The simple fact is, they got the best player in the draft. I wonder if there are players on the Habs (and other teams) that secretly hope to be left off the protected list and would rather a fresh start in Vegas? I would think so considering the level of talent going to a new club means a player playing 10 minutes on his current team could be playing 15 or more on a brand new squad.

    7) They put the muzzle on PFK in Nashville. Can White people ever get used to Black athletes using the man for their own purposes?

    8) If you could make Wonder Women fall in love with you
would it be for a long or short time. I like strong women
but I would always worry that someone would make a bullet that defeated her bracelets, and I would tell her to stay
at home and she would beat the crap out of me and leave.

    9) Would you go to Mars as Stanley Robinson colonist

    2. Cooper didn't like him so he sat out in Tampa asking to be traded and they have a problem with gCHyuk having going out at night? AF didn't like PFK, if Drouin has issues with Julien what makes them think they can do better than Tampa did?

    3. Forgot to finish my thought. So, if they have problems with Drouin and end up trading him, then they lose both players in the end.

What a stupid fucking trade that would be especially if the Habs cough up extra. Bozo the GM is capable of it. Another sideways move where it looks like he's doing something but accomplishing nothing. Fuck.

  61. As trade season and this draft approaches it is vital to remember one very important thing... Marc Bergevin will stare you straight in the face and tell you lies without blinking an eye. Some people think that is an admirable quality in a gm...i do not!

  62. gCHuck for Druid straight up, yes. Since we have no use for first round picks, why not throw it in.
TFS over $9mill, we will make the playoffs forever if he is healthy. We will never win unless God wants us too. I want him back but I dont think Che is going to be here. Single Russian male seeking Tiger girls, its Vegas.

  64. Read an article on DLC where Mrs. Radulov posted an instagram on June 2 to clarify that she broke it off and while she said he is a generous and a good father he really hasn't changed.

Another article said the reason he was toothless away from the rink as well as on it for a few months was because he lost his partial during a Christmas dinner at Patches' house.

Another said when the Habs reported he was out with flu-like symptoms, he was see in a resto-bar in Villeray eating tar-tar and a couple of drinks.

Another as per a source in he was partying in with a couple Tampa players (translated to English) :
"Alexander Radulov did not really change, he changed his marketing. I talked to a guy who was in Tampa Bay during the season then he said that Alexander Radulov was on the fucking big party. It has not really changed. You're an animal party, you're an animal party! You change a little ... But it's still in you! "

So, is gCHyuk's nightlife worse than what is reported about Radulov or is management trying to keep one issue under wraps more than the other because one is now the supposedly matured/changed veteran who has a family?

  65. Hey look BBB, 37 yr-old Dman Beauchemin was bought out so he's available.

  66. If you thought the Sabres always gave the Habs trouble before, it's going get worse now that they hired Phil Housley as head coach. Preds are going to miss him for sure.

  67. The Canadiens acquire Jonathan Drouin + a cond. 6th-round pick (2018) from TBL, in return for M. Sergachev + a cond. 2nd-round pick (2018).

  68. I'm glad they didn't get rid of gCHyuk but didn't BBB say he wouldn't trade Sergachev?

    ReplyDelete
  69. Wow, Sergachev? I'm kind of shocked.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I will take that trade. Sergachev is not a proven commodity yet so why not. Keeping gCHuyk is probably a good move. Trades are hard. Hope Droiun does choke with the hometown pressure

    1. So much for the 'building from the draft' BBB always preaches. Agree he's not a proven commodity but wasn't he touted prospect? Well, they got a good asset and the local media will love it.

    2. Yeah, home boy pressure. I hope he's ready!

  71. If they don't trade Galchenyuk I guess Drouin gives up #27.

  72. Condition on the picks in Tampa-Montreal trade is that if Sergachev plays 40 games for Bolts next season, there are no picks exchanged.

  76. Bob McKenzie: 'It is believed MTL GM Marc Bergevin and Drouin's agent Allan Walsh have already commenced negotiations on a contract extension.

Just opinion on my part, but if anything, I think this Drouin trade could make it more likely that Alex Galchenyuk will be traded.'

    ReplyDelete
  77. More Bob: Drouin is RFA. Potential stars coming off ELC usually get 5 or 6 x $6M, give or take $500K. So a range of $5.5M to $6.5M. No prob for MTL.

TB, on other hand, couldn't handle that type of Drouin contract. Helps their cap; allows them to protect an extra F in expansion...

...and TB gets the young defenceman it has been looking for. Trading Tyler Johnson wouldn't get them a Sergachev. It had to be Drouin.

    ReplyDelete
  78. the Maritimer4:00 PM

I can live with this. Bargain Bin and TT will probably trade up in the draft to get another high-end prospect D. I really, really hope they hang on to AG27 but I think BBB has more irons in the fire.

BBB trading away all these prospects is fucking up my hockey card collection of Habs rookies. I had Sergachev... now he's a fucking Dolt.
