All Hallows Eve Eve - Scary Sh!t - Game 12 v Sens

You can't polish me?
Let me start out by admitting I include myself in this statement.  Many fans have become disenCHanted with this team and are finding it difficult to keep the faith, keep watCHing and are certainly not wasting their precious time bothering to comment on what is a seemingly fruitless effort by the team.  Part of this is the team's record, inability to score or stop pucks.  Sometimes life just comes first.
One thing I do know is this. Do not despair fellow FHFans as there are many reasons to stay tuned to the Habs:
1) Carey Price. He can only improve.  He can't possibly play 70 games, allowing his save% and gaa to remain at these all time lows. Right?
2) Shooting %age - Habs have the highest shots per game and are dead last in goals for per game. Its not all lack of quality CHances with all those shots. The pucks will start going in. Maybe 5 against the Rags was the start something positive.
3) Drouin. We have a forward that can actually gain zone entry with the puck AND maintain control of it. GalCHenyuk can learn from this guy as I think it's one of his major faults and would go a long way to endearing him to CJ2.0. Or not.
4) The PP. It's near the bottom right now but has promise. Need a big body for the front of the net and don't always make the BBQ blast option #1.

5) Rope-a-dope.
And these are but a few.  So keep watCHing.  It's going to get better.

But I can't put the defence on this list. I honestly think MB has downgraded it over the past 18 months. Opponents don't seem to have fear crossing our blueline because there's no (Y), N8 or PFK looking to take you out on entry.  But I appreciate BBQ's presence once in the zone. He is 3rd in the league in hits and that's a good start. I just hope points 1 through 5 are enough to offset the more porous defence.

On this date in 1974 the greatest of all time first employed the rope-a-dope strategy before knocking Foreman out in the 8th round.  It's clear the Habs have embraced that same strategy this season and game 12, on the date Ali did it, is the perfect time to get off the ropes and start pounding their opponents into submission.

So stay strong FHFers, the Habs will float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. The turds can't beat 'em, wait and see.

You've pretty much nailed it down, I find this team unwatchable. There is no pizzazz, no threat to score, despite putting 5 past a sucky backup. It just seems they've had the creativity coached out of them or it's Jabba's crappy "System" which seems to be handed down time after time after time from some old school Punch Imlach acolyte.

I would never boo Carey Price. Never. It's not always his fault. He seems to have more bad luck lately with pucks deflecting off sticks or his own player's asses. GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY!!

The defence is terrible, even kypridiot recognized they have no footspeed other than young Mete. Bergevin's bungling has left them in bad shape on the back end. This four game road trip should tell the tale if they are still alive for a wildcard spot or will be servicing the tank engine for start up.

  5. Here's a comment I thought was worth sharing.

"Typical a reporter from Toronto would say "Marleau and his three-year, $18.75-million contract are proving to be steals". Marleau has only played 12 games of his three year deal and this guy is already saying his $6.25/year contract is a steal??? What kind of a writer is this? Marleau has played 1/8th of the season and only 5% of his 246 regular season games and he's labelling the contract a steal already?? Gee...I wonder what this guy thought with David Clarkson's $37.5M contract with 16 pts in 118 games. Save this type of article after Marleau's 2nd year of playing for the Leafs."

Karlsson on for 7 against? Equally impressive. The hnic dimwits (especially kypridiot) love this guy and will ignore it, whereas PK would have been drawn and quartered.

Update: I'm getting a little stronger every day but still can't make it past 10pm local time. Two weeks out from the surgery, hopefully another week or so will get me back in the game, so to speak.

Oh yeah I was watching the TSN feed and the broadcasters where blowing Karlson even though his penis was late stage syphilis. Frankenstiens head is going to explode before Christmas.

I not calling out anyone, but fans who gave up on this team are more responsible for the bad start than TFS. Even though I gave up on all the players, the coach and the GM, I still believed in this team:)

Seriously there seems to be no pattern to the NHL anymore, its like the stock market
valuations who needs them. Look at Pittsburgh in our last week world of hurt. Thankfully like the trees that are their foundation the leaf are falling in late autumn like they have since 67.

When TFS gets his yips out and the SCHlem is healed we may find that in this fucked up world we have a solution to winning hockey games. Never forget the Jewel of the Nile, it was a terrible sequel but the original was pure gold.

My feel good moment of last night was not looking at last weeks SF. No it was CHud. When he speaks English he sounds like he is about to cry at any moment. Well his two goals last night moved me to tears of joy. I love the Leko, I love me some KidA, but CHud scored two Radulov goals. This is monumental, this is like finding Gretzkey in the fifth round. This kid is fire on ice, he is a flying Frenchman, he is dangerous on ice.

So they have won 2 in a row and score a shit load of goals...bout time. Chucky will be fine but as soon as he improves that stupid dick will trade him for a 33 year old piece of shit d man...
And that, my friends is the reason attendance here at FHF has been on the wane...bbb has killed the spirit by trading away anything good and decent for something old and slow...just like he was as a player. PK Should never have gone. Vodkov should never have gone.Y should never have gone. I will be here as much as I can but these shifts are a killer so everyone hang in there. 5. JJ Daignault is the best D coach ever (said no one ever). I suspect the Big Bird would be too opinionated for Bergy's ego to handle, showcasing the Peter Principle is what sustains our DGMB. I think Robinson has nothing left to prove in any capacity beyond DG himself. D-coach is beneath him and would unacceptably cut into his polo time.

Coming from the GAGnon who also said, when asked, he would have gone public with the re-hab story just like his cronie POS but the only difference he would have asked gCHuks' agent first

  55. I saw a link on tsn (I know I should no better) labeled who are the 5 worst teams right now. Curious I clicked on it. Andie (she could've been hot if not just another leaf shrill) Petrillo started the conversation and when she got to #5 couldn't decide between the Habs and Oilers. Then the chinless wonder started talking and I turned it off.

The number of pieces the SFU have done labeling tops in the category, bottom of that category, worst at this, best at that, to suit their leaf's early (and only) success is quite laughable. Reality is sinking in and these 'professional articles' will dwindle and die. Should the leaf go 0 for out west like the Habs and the CH manage to win the next 2, the leaf is up by a single point. Gonna be enjoyable watching the SFU stew in their own stink.

    Go Habs Go.

  56. Time to CHime in;

About Big Bird. He has found a lot of success since retiring. How many budding young DMen did he help groom? A lot. I always imagined how he and PFK would've gotten along. To hear him say, via the media, that he'd still love to end his career in Montreal brings a tear to my eye. Apart from BBQ, no Habs D knows how to hit. How about moving the puck out of their zone, another #19 trait. The man lived and breathed the CH. His passion would bring back some of the lost lustre. I think Julien would have no issue with him but I'd prefer he play a similar role to Waite. JJD isn't a bad person and keeps his mouth shut but he is a serious weak link and only there because of DGMB and MT2 history. Larry parle très bien le Français. Le SFFU (Sick Fuck Français Uni) would NOT know how to even begin slagging Larry. They wouldn't even try. gagNON is a prick. I'll pad (see what I did there?) my comment with the idea that Serge Savard is probably the one that didn't reach out to Larry. Too many CHefs? Having said that, I'll stick to the idea of #33 as the Hockey Prez. Bonus, he'll tell the SFFU to STFU.

  57. About the mediots.

They can't help themselves as they are desperate to hype their team. 30 other teams get the smoke town shaft. I'll repeat myself endlessly, these people are shills and in my eyes professionally unethical, much like their team. Like most of you I'll check out the websites (I have yet to see one second of their tv content). Its horrendous to see the percentage of leaf coverage compared to 30 other teams. They have an agenda, simple as that. They could care less about the 6 other Canadian teams, much less the 25 south of our border. Although it may not be fake, they make up hockey news. Their radio shows generate the stupidest headlines. Babscock farts and they make it a 'story'. They even dig up marlie 'stories' to fill their bucket of CotU shit. tsn and sn are equals with sn cranking up the hate, mainly due to their rotted hnit roots. Lastly, they live to cater to leafools, the dumbest fanbase in all pro sports.
