Have you herd? Buffalo's in town. Game 18 v Sabres

I don't just think of my Dad and uncle storming Juno Beach on D-Day on Remembrance Day, but rather I remember all of the nearly 60 million people that died in WW II and another 10 or so in The Great War.  With the current regimes in places of power around the world, it's especially important to remember those times, which should never, ever be repeated. Remember.

Dad of Pad

Thank you for our freedom.

Now for a 'mostly' sci-fi interlude.

Dreams of seeing this hoisted by CK again certainly seems fictional.

  1. Hey all off to services then heading to the land of no Internet or wifi for a couple of nights to unplug and recharge (that sounds like an oxymoron).

Anyway enjoy your days, take even just a moment to remember the past and hope that Trump et al don't drive us into anything remotely close to that again.

    GYMFHG!

  2. Remembrance Day is always something I can feel. Just St Pad I had family in the hamster wheel.
Moment of silence for those that fought in the worst way. Unfortunately their sacrifice is never really remembered. When it comes to war its always Groundhog Day.

  5. Time to be silent is over and we must move on over the bodies dumped
    every time in ever scence
    dead bodies
    working the staff
    overtime
    as they
    want to quit
    dealing with
    blood and tears
    and everyone
    involved
    as PTSD
    and there
    is no legal
    pot no comfrort
    to shadow
    these bad
    dreams
    that
    are
    reality
    we are at war
    pick up a spear
    and fight'
    or just vote
    because
    that is the overwhelming
    power of demcracy
    but never believe
    anything the winner
    tells you
    because beneath
    the surface
    its all
    risk reward
    and your nephew
    should have
    a car
    and by the way
    I liked the way
    the concrete sprinkled
    as I walked
    this way

  16. I think the ladies wore out the ice in the aftnoon game as both sides looked sluggish and shambalistic. Only passion displayed was when Gorges ran KidA, and then BB tagged him. In another strange display CHicken after the game winning OT goal decided to take a run at PatCHes. Obviously Gorges and CHicken still have CH issues.

gCHuck had a good but not great game, he does not seem to have found his shot accuracy. Similar for Leko, Druid is setting him up with a stripper but he cant get her clothes off. Once those shots start going in we may be able to put the tank in the garage.

CHill's Challange to TFS is going to create alot of pressure. TFS needs to come back pre injury form or the boo birds in the words of McSplooge are going to destroy him. Ten mill a year leaves no margin of error.

Buffalo has to be sad. Echilel is getting 10 mil for 8 and playing like Lego.

  17. Phew, that was close.
PatCHes' goal cellys showing some emotion. Wonder if gCHuk told his captain to act like he's scored before. He broke a record btw.

-scored his 10th career regular-season overtime goal (all w/ MTL) to pass Aurel Joliat and Howie Morenz (both w/ 9) for the most in Canadiens history.

PVR'ed the game and watched it this am. 1st and 2nd periods were boring as fuck as both teams were playing rope-a-dope and when the Habs tied it up, both teams lowered the chokula dome and said fuck it, let's get the loser point then head to the strip clubs after. The OT was entertaining at least and yeah, what was up with CHicken trying to take Max's head off after he got the winner?

Christine Nepotism Simpson interviewed CHill's parents during the game, Dad has always been a Habs fan and 29 Ken Dryden was his fave growing up. Smart guy. The league is starting to notice this kid, even SFU dork millen gave the kid some credit last night. He made a nice poke check in the OT to save the game, just like Johnny Bower. Let's just pray that the Clown GM doesn't trade him for some fucking 5th line stiff with CHaracter...

Regarding Price, take your time Carey, the kid has got this for now...

  19. A huge win on the world stage thanks to JT and his Canada first mentality. We beat the TPP.
In the Middle East well the Clash said it first.

If I was JT, I'd tear up NAFTA and throw it in Trump's face on the way out the door. No oil, no wood, no nothing and keep your fucking milk products on your side of the border. When the northern states resources dry up and 10 million Americans are out of work maybe they will change their attitude.

    2. Amen!! Praise Jesus and pass the ammo

The milk thing is a total lie. US agricultural subsidies keep US milk prices about a dollar a gallon lower than cost. So we have a stable sustainable system and Trump wants us to join the corporate welfare wagon.

Oh yeah, I forgot, no more lobster from Atlantic Canada... then watch the elite squirm! The rich folks in Boston and New York where we ship the tasty crustaceans by the tonnes will invade Washington themselves with torches and pitchforks.

Regarding the Habs, when I was a young pup, you thought every spring there was a chance to win the Stanley Cup. Watching the current team this morning, I realize those days are long gone. I thought they might win 1 more Cup in my lifetime, but I have my doubts. I have set the bar so low now, a win against any team on a Saturday night brings me happiness. Sheesh.

    1. they really should go for a lotter pick, in two years he might be useful and some other long bombs might pan out. To keep just creeping into the playoffs for a round or two is buttman.

  21. In the last five years the two most improved players on this team are KidA and PatCHes. Like many I do not see PatCHes as a playoff player. However, I have no doubt he is giving more at the office than anyone exept for me. (and the FHF execs of course)
