  1. It's past noon on the east coast and no SF comments. These are indeed dark times for our Habs. Wonder if MB is starting to sweat in his $2000 suits yet?

Terrific SF per usual btw. Pic 2 is mesmerizing.

  2. Happy SF!! Moeman does it again! Now for TFS: get ye to an optometrist! Ye can't seem to see well enough to track the puck. Don't worry, you're 30 and it happens. All will be good again afterward. PatCHes needs help too, but you can't correct for lack of hockey IQ

  3. In the words of Barney Fife, you gotta bud nip, or as Shakesphere put it. If it is to be done it must be done quickly.

This clusterfuck is all on one man and its time for St Pat. DGMB has had six years and what do we have. An empty cupboard on the farm. A D that is offensive. A third overall pick who is treated like he filled molson bottles full of pee and brought them to the company picknic.

I am starting too worry about TFS. Was he all a product of a D first system. Now that he does not have competent staff in front he is being revealed. I am an expert at spotting things everyone thinks are true but in fact are just manipulation.

I say today book TFS and family on a flight to Tibet. He can like Batmann regain his Katcha. Next year come back we have a lottery pick and the parade plans can be relaid.

Juleson not expected back until Dec, another black swan event in this murder of crows season.

Leave the gun, trade the canoodle.

  5. The one anomaly in sports. Every other city in the world is staffed by pro blow job artists who can make a limp dick sound fully loaded. Montreal consumes all the oxygen from everything except the result. We are truth anodized and its our strength never forget that.

I am very proud to be a fan of Le Club de Hockey Montreal. I will never ever lose that loving feeling. I am totally realistic about the impossible task it takes today to win the cup in a 30 team league with a cap hit. What we need to realize is that the cup is now the sole property
of gamebreakers. You can only catch a game breaker with a lottery pick, or you can trade him away for Shea Weber (cheap shot) But how do you trade Lego for SSR?

We may suck for another decade but I appreciate that the media tells the truth, and thats the last place on earth where truth exists.

    1. Didn't they trade for 'leadership'? Where is it?

  6. TFS 'has a minor lower-body injury and as a preventative measure, a goalie will be recalled. Montoya will be in nets on Saturday.'

    hmmm

That's the story and their sticking to it.

    1. they never lie just do not always tell the truth. TFS is like freaking out
and no one can hold him down.

    2. I believe it's an upper body injury, between the ears.

Does anyone else believe that Marc Bergevin's 'plan' after 6 years was to construct one of the worst defences in the league? Are the pro scouts that incompetent? Did Rick Dudley, Larry Carriere et al suddenly forget what a hockey player looks like?

I have no explanation for what's going on. There's a long way to go but I feel this season is lost already.

To be honest, the current edition of the Habs remind me of the Burke/Phaneuf/Kessel leaf team. Some good parts but nothing fits. Pacioretty is like Kessel, a good support player but not a leader. He doesn't play hard enough. Weber is good but he can only be on the ice so long and is not and end-to-end guy who can change the momentum in a game. Most of the forwards are pluggers, Drouin and Galchenyuk excepted but they are too young to handle the mantle of leadership. The best course of action is to take the medicine and start acquiring more picks and younger bodies closer to the trade deadline. There is no answer in the room because the talent level just isn't there. The media may deny or ignore the truth but it's there in plain sight.

    1. The only real leadership I'm seeing is from KidA.

  9. Remember spring 2014.... we arguably could have won the cup had Carey not been run over by Krieder. If I'm a GM, at that point, I would think with just a couple of tweaks to the roster, maybe 1 or 2 players already in our system, we can make another run. Even with salary cap, free agency, injuries, a good GM could have continued the 2014 success. DGMB has left us with Price, Pacioretty, Gallagher, and Plekanec from that roster.

And only two of them are worth keeping.

    2. And one of those 2 are struggling mightily.

I don't know if PC would go for it but I'd offer Patches to the Oil for Klefbom or Nurse for starters. I'd love Draisaitl but we don't have the parts to get him.

    3. TFS™ and KidA are keepers.

I'm not easy on trading a Captain but maybe it fetCHes a decent return.

Plexxxe runs out the season unless no playoffs and then get a decent pick/prospect.

TFS™, experiencing early season problems, don't seem to know much about his Dmen play. Alzner and Mete are new and as a group they seem lost (the forwards aren't back checking either).

Geoff needs to understand that no major moves should be permitted to DGMB.

I've stated before, if things get worse make changes. Roy+Brisebois+Julien is cool. JJD is clueless.

    4. The forwards don't backcheck...could that be from watching the lazy captain?

    5. I am not going to beat up on Patches. He is what he is and the Kessel analogy fits. I could say both Americans.

Just because you can score goals does not make you a great hockey player, as stupid as it sounds to say it.

A captain cannot be so one-dimensional. Saku was skilled, good puckhandler and could snipe when necessary. Ditto Carbo. Chelios was fucking mean. Gainey played hard both ways, never backed down from anybody. Muller could do it all. Cournoyer, H. Richard and Beliveau are legends. The current Habs have nothing or no one like that today. That's what's missing.

I don't know about moe's suggested new management but it couldn't be any worse.

    7. Good stuff.

KidA reminds me of The Pocket Rocket (minus the famous brother who lead the way for top scoring stars but with incredible passion few others have ever shown, oh and I sport his name).

Chelios was maybe at points in his career underrated. If I'm to compare, BBQ needs to up his level. The man can hit, hard, so do it.

Gainey is non-pareil. Few players like him. Carbo was a lunch bucket workman. CaptainK left it all on the ice and I'm surprised his BBR bloodline hasn't followed through but again KidA.

I think Druid has the makings of a next thing.

So this comment speaks to, wait for it, CHaracter. Bring it boys.

  10. Just asking, when the #2 pic is mentioned as a SF highlight, is it the 2nd pic or the one I actually labelled #2?

Regardless, IMHO, there is nothing more refreshing to the eyes than a beautiful woman.

    3. Go to poker. You could lose $200 and it would be more rewarding than watching the current version of this team.

Speaking of mortgage payments, just made my last one yesterday. Thought it would seem more exciting but now it's just deciding which necessary upgrades gets the mortgage money first. Still cool to finally own the house though.
