  1. Forget the Hula Hoop being the most sexy plastic fantastic. The Blues have a dozen centers of our dreams in the pipeline. lets just put this season away tonite.

BBQ will be traded. Who got burned? Like Ho Che Min said about the FrenCH revolution. To soon to tell.

  6. Tonight's entertainment menu: SOTDA (State of the Dumb-Ass) address, or hockey in St. Louis?

SSR reportedly out 4 - 6 weeks with a "lower body" injury he has been out with two+ weeks already. What gives there? That means the trade deadline will be passed before his return.

BBQ also out "indefinitely" - out already 6 weeks or so. What gives there???

Are our training/medical staff all a bunch of flunkies? As someone who trusts our dear BBB not a whit, I smell something stinky afoot.

    1. I don't trust any injury updates they put out. Been there, done that with TFS, I just wait till someone comes back, it's the only truth out there.

  8. Remember, each loss brings BBB's end closer. Well...maybe. Who know what goes on in their minds? But perhaps the guy who dug the foxhole has now morphed into a grave digger.

    1. Sort of. TVA had the Preds game which played at the same time so I watched that game live. PVR'd the Habs and watched during Preds' intermissions. Admittedly, my heart wasn't in the Habs game. Preds lost to the Hawks but I enjoyed watching. Hawks are trying to get into the playoffs and Preds were a point behind Winnipeg for lead in the Central division going into the game. Bonus for me PFK led the team in ice time.

    2. No, nobody watched. So I watched Mr. Nobody (VERY GOOD mind-blowing movie with Jered Leto - much of it shot in Montreal as a bonus).

I got depressed enough just reading the recaps from Brian Wilde (Call of the Wilde) and Mike Boone (About Last Night) so I feel like I got all I needed out of the game. Lordy, this team needs an enema.

  12. I didn't watch.

@GMolsonCHC It's not too late to hand the rebuild over to a new GM by the trade deadline. It's been all downhilll since the PK debacle. Time to act is now. Don't worry about language, hire a translator if the best available isn't francophone. #JulienBrisebois #BobbySmith

    1. Pierre McGuire (aka McSplooge, n'est-ce pas?) publicly begged to be considered for possible President of Club de Hockey Canadiens de Montreal Operations, according to Brian Wilde. I like to think Geoff Molson's reaction upon hearing that would be: "That's so gross!"

Is #BobGainey also in the mix? I do like the looks of either #JulienBrisebois or #BobbySmith in such a position. But whoever it is, they need to clear house, or put BBB into a sub-GM role with their own man in the GM seat.

  14. I watched two periods, TFS let in a stinker again. The rest of the team did their best lets make the opposition goalie feel like Patric Roy routine. Leko learning to score like Superplexxe, aim for the crest, you will get 3 or 4 lucky bounces a year. Not a terrible performance considering Blues are a top heavy team and we are featherdusters.

But there is hope, McSplooge will accept the position of President if offered.

  15. Good luck to McGuire as he fights the 'big C', and while not nearly my first choice as prez of the CH, I can think of worse ideas. He does have a decent hockey mind, but he's not the right fit for the Habs. Bobby Smith or bust I say! The more I say it, the more I like it.

Anyway fuck cancer, get well Pierre and keep working at NBC.

No matter who is picked they have a very light challange, do better than the last @% 25 25 years. I could do that job for at least five years,

    2. To be clear I'm only saying that PM would be an upgrade over Molson since he at least has hockey knowledge, but it's debatable whether that knowledge could translate to being in charge of hockey operations of the (once) greatest franchise in sports.

  16. Mike Fisher takes his skates off the hook and goes back to the Preds. Interesting, his contract is for the rest of this season. Thinking outside the box? Maybe they see this the way to go i/o getting a rental.

Please, no, just no, to mcsplooge. The organization is in a deep enough hole as it is. Bobby Smith, Julien Bisebois, Patrick Roy and I'd even give Bob Gainey a crack at the presidency again. Bergevin and Julien need to be gone asap. Lefevbre as well and all assistant coaches. Like Scott said, an enema is required. Mark Hunter for GM. Dominique Ducharme as head coach. Lots and lots of draft picks. Save the cap space for 2019, Doughty, Karlsson and OE-L available then. Lots and lots of patience required as well. Get young, get big and get fast.
