Are you pumped? No, because this season sucks. Habs v Lightning

I spared on a curling team Thursday night. 2nd end I went down hard, first time in over 20 years of curling. Back of the head hit the ice hard, last time that happened was 1987 when I worked at A-1Rent-a-Tool in Tronna. The guys from work rented some ice and we just went to a play a bit of shinny. Just skates and stick. Dave fucking Brown (not the Flyer) took my feet out and ended my night. Anyway at curling I took an end off to finish my beer and was able to finish the last 3 ends. Friday I felt good and was able to dig up the septic (well it was mostly backhoe work) and get some shit sucked outa that sucker. I'm selling my cottage and this was a condition of sale. This afternoon/evening I'm heading back to the ice for a craft brewery bonspiel. So feeling good though at least 3 people told me "I know so and so and he/she didn't have symptoms for 3 days and she missed a year of work!" I think my granite noggin is ok, but will surely keep an eye on symptoms. I'm sure our fearless leader moeman could tell me a few horror stories.
Point of all this being I wonder about Price's concussion because Bergevin/Julien are a bunch of fucking liars, Just admit you are trying to tank. We are ok with it. We've accepted it is necessary because you have fucked this shit up but good!

I was playing beer league hockey once, skating backwards playing D caught a rut in the ice and the first thing that hit the ice was the back of my head. I was wearing a helmet fortunately and literally popped the screws out of that thing. I saw black for a second and stars after. No concussion but that was scary. I can't remember finishing the game so there is that. Be careful.

Let's get this season over with shall we?

    1. Only real hockey injury was getting a stick in the face, pre visor/facemask, circa 1975. Two front teeth, gone. One of the few times I didn't play goalie. The worse of it was the dentist. He was an old school, strong-armed type.

    3. if you go to Korea it would seem to be logical, I stole a tank. They only needed about a half a million won to make this all go away.

  2. I will follow concussion protocol and medicate liquidly at curling, but won't overdo it. I've seen plenty of messy spills at these funspiels by half loaded non curlers.

Congrats on the bronze. Go Germany!

  3. Hope you are okay but really man you should have doped up to curl. Everybody is doing it, you would not believe how you can sweep.

War wounds I have more than James Bond. I am like John McCain cant lift my arms past horizontal.

If we do not tank, I am going to dump on the doorstep. Our win against the rags moved us from 4 to 5 pick. Exponentially making Dahlin a dream. I am really hoping the fix is in. Buttman owes us for something, DGMB is best friends with someone, and BBQ, TFS and Jonny T are amigos.

Have we a nick for Julson? Jewel is not worthy. Gem? Since he is a jack of all trades, what they call a 5 player in baseball, he is F35? Julson, Mete, Nikita, CHud, Leko, gCHuck, Druid we are not hopeless.

I would keep PatCHes if we are getting Jonny T. As soon as we can extend offer him 5 for 8 and if he refuses trade him for a bag of pucks. I would sign UFA Superplexxe.

Duncan drunk in South Korea, he did not offer enough to make it go away. Thats the truth.

I am hoping without Price they can stay in the top 5, otherwise Joey V. is ours.

    2. Doesn't Buttman still owe BBB for that John Scott thing?

I can't help myself... regarding the Brassard trade, he was Ottawa's #1 center I think but according to our illustrious genius GM they are impossible to get. Nobody trades No. 1 centers. Nobody trades puck moving defencemen (except mb). Trades are hard. The answer is in the room. If you want loyalty buy a dog.

    Did I forget anything?

    1. Yep, you forgot to mention that it took three teams to get this deal done and I don't see dgmb being able to accomplish that because I believe he has little to no respect league-wide when it comes to deal making. FWIW, the Sens did very well and Rutherford proves once again that he wants to win.

    2. And the Preds got Bonino, Turris and I forget who the 3rd centre was. Even though the Pens let a centre go they still got another one.

Centres going left and right but BBB thinks he can take anyone on his team and turn them into a centre. Voila! C'est magique.

Ryan Johansen was the true No. 1 C Poile got for PMD Seth Jones. Two teams, Nashville and Columbus, that got together and made a hockey trade to address a weakness each had. mb trades all his pmd for what he doesn't need.

Kudos to Jim Rutherford for shoring up his center situation, watch him get some depth D for another Cup run. Hey! The Habs have tons of 7-8 defencemen, Jimmy should give Bozo a call, he's selling cheap...

Montreal, with Mr. Cap Space as a player, may help Eugene worm his way out of two big contracts, Karlsson and Bobby Ryan. Habs will get picks for helping out. It's fucking bizarro world in the NHL theses days.

  10. Saint Pad, take care! Only tried curling once and my wonky knees were talking to me about it for a couple of weeks after. I have hit my noggin plenty though.

repost from last thread, I congratulate our Canadian Olympians, and the Men's Hockey will surely end up with the gold, once the Ruskies are disqualified for their drug cheating and the Huns for their carbon emissions cheating.

  11. Harley shipped to the Isles for a Third round pick. This bodes well for BBB to move AlZZZner, or Chien, or J&B

  12. Goodbye Superplexxe, we will never have another player put puck marks on the opposing teams crest.
He could have been a contender, but the rest of the team would not turtle.

Another class guy failed by the system.

  13. So, Vodkov, 990 GP and PleXXXe 981 GP been with the CH since day 1 of their NHL careers and will never get to reaCH 1,000 games.

Loyalty means shit to this management yet they expect the fans to be loyal and keep tossing their money at them. Geoff will probably think BBB's is doing something amazing and extend him again.

OK, I just watched the old crotch and I see why moe was riled up earlier, I'm assuming about his diatribe about the Europeans vs Canada in international play. You know, with regards to this matter, the illegal faceoff by the German player and who the linesman was, he might not be wrong. There is some logic to it and, after all, the IOC is one of the most corrupt organizations on the face of the earth. I don't watch anything that is judged for that reason alone. Anyway, it is what it is, Canada did pretty good overall at these Games.

Now back to our regularly scheduled nhl game ... no corruption guaranteed.

Wow, if Tampon Bay plays like this in the playoffs, they won't be around too long. Max should have a hat trick. And if CHevy pulled that move playing for eMTy, he'd be eating press hot dogs for a month.

Pleky to Winterpeg, tranna or Tampon Bay.

    Max to L.A. or Minny?

The pylons pretending to be defencemen ... any where please.

Great interview with Carbo by Melnick yesterday, he even said the D makeover this past year was horrible. Still doesn't know why Gainey axed him.

I got my first Roll Up the Rim win today ... a free coffee ... yippee!!

  25. we had to get a point. we moved back into 6th. Bob Cold is so bad, the 690 team is a million times better.

I hope Patches goes to LA. That prospect is great in Jr, knock on him is that he cant skate, so we are sure to take him. Apparently his mechanics are all Italian.

We might get a second for Superplexxe.

  26. Home just in time to catch the end of third and OT. Actually leaf game was on when I turnes on the tv, they just scored the go ahead goal, but it was clearly goalie interference. Watches the last 3 mins if Habs 3ed period and flipped back to see if leafs/brooms we're in OT and timmothwrfuckingpeel was JUST announcing that the leaf goal was a good goal. That had to be a 5 minute review for Toronto to rule that the clear goalie interference was in fact not and Good Goal. What a fucking farce. Not so sure about that corruption free thing the M mentioned. Pardon my rambling, had more than my fill of Extra Big Ass and Tom Waits For No One beers 🍺🍺🍺

The Habs are still bottom 5 thanks to the Oil. The Rags are sinking faster than a twenty ton tank, they are all in for Dahlin. Gary will see to it. Montreal needs Van and Ott to go on a winning streak to have a shot at Zadina, Svetchnikov or Tkachuk.
