Hey, it's the "Oh yeah, it's superbowl weekend so there is a Saturday afternoon game" gameday thread...I forgot and actually have to head to the cottage today so here ya go. Habs v Ducks
Hey Nikita is it cold In your lost corner of the world You could roll around the farm forever And never find a player that works in the blender
Oh I saw you by the Center Bell Ten of your journeymen in a row With eyes that looked like dead on ice The human heart a captive in the system failing like the Northern lights when solar flare activity is in remission
Oh Nikita you will never know, anything about the cup I'll never know again how good it feels to hold it Nikita It too late you need you too know Oh Nikita is the shooting from 50 ft on any scoring chance You should have been developed properly Oh no, Nikita you'll never know
Do you ever dream of winning Do you ever see the Hab names on the cup When you look up through the wavier wire Nikita do you count the Dallas stars at night
And when there comes a time Restricted free agency no longer no longer holds you in And if you're free to make a choice Just look towards Texas and find a friend
Nikita counting ten journeymen in a row Nikita counting ten dead soldiers in a row Nikita counting ten strippers with gChuck as they work the pole
Only good thing about afternoon games is I can watch them over dinner - so for me it's lincolnshire sausauges, onion gravy, bake potatoes and copious amounts of Banks Ale...Go you fucking Habs Go! Just fucking win! Who am I kidding - Just fucking score!
Switched over to watch the OT and shootout for Phili and Ottawa...6 rounds of shootouts. Philly looked pretty shit in the shootout...deserved to lose...
To be fair, it wasnt a bad game. Like i said, the D is fucking scary at times but they scored. I like Nikita nd liked that he got over 2 mins on the PP. but only 10 mins total is not enough. he belongs. And honest to God, wtf does GCHyk have to do to get a shot at C? Until bbb and JC are gone he is never going there again. Even after JD goes out, CJ plays Hudon at C over him. Hudon, btw - played well over all. I thought it was all going south about 15 min into the 2nd...somehow they survived and played a strong 3rd. Sens tomorrow however...not so sure. TFS will play apparently - but honestly - why fuck with a winning formula? Anti played great and stopped a breakaway that would have changed the course of the game had he not - it would have been a shortie...so keep him in until he loses. Just my thoughts. So game's over and I've moved to CC Ginger for the rest of the evening. Later!!
Glad you were entertained. gCHuk will never, ever see center with the two clowns currently in charge. That being said, I don't really care any more. I'd love to see #27 become like another #27 ... l'Artiste ... and control the PP from the half wall on the right side. Maybe the next regime will see the potential. I think I'm going to have a couple of CC Special Batch 12 year old and ginger ale as well. Cheers!!
I watched the TB/Van game this morning on the PVR, there are some really good players on these teams. Sergachev, although benched recently looked good last night, he deked a couple of Canucks out of their jock straps and picked up an assist on the PP. The panel showed a goal scored by PFK in the Nashville - Rangers game (also mentioned him as a Norris Trophy candidate) he has 22 points in his last 21 games. They also showed (Y)Emelin destroying Marc Staal with a big hit. Although there is no point in dwelling on the past, I will never understand bergevin and his staff's line of thinking in getting rid of all these players. They have literally demolished the Habs back end for years to come. bergevin's flawed logic evolved from the mistaken notion that Carey Price would be invincible behind any bunch of pylons he could sign. That didn't turn out so good.
I hate afternoon games...go Pats!
ReplyDeleteSCHorCHed Earth, no not what DGMB has left behind. Its my Sat aft Habs metaphor substitute. Watch any movie with Gina Carano, they are all great.
ReplyDeleteWhat ever is good for the bookies is the way the Superbowl seems to go. Vikings victory.
