Will PFK make some Montreal music man? ~ Preds

~ ~ ~

Seventy-six's big stones lead the big parade

With a hundred and ten PFK fans close at hand

They were followed by rows and rows of Poile's finest virtuosos,

the cream of ev'r(Y) Nashville band

Seventy-six's big stones caught the Montreal morning sun

With a hundred and ten happy PFKids right behind

There were more than a thousand deed$

$pringing up to $ucceed

There were cats of ev'ry shape and kind

There were mustard yellow unis in their platoon

Thundering, thundering all along the way

Double BELL euphoniums and big baffoons

Each baffoon having its big, fat MT2 say

There were fifty mounted cannon in the Preds battery

Thundering, thundering louder than Pacioretty

Centremen of ev'ry size

And defensemen who'd improvise

A full octave higher than the FHFucking score!

  2. Awesome parody/tribute moeman. The Children's was elated yesterday, reportedly. PFK is 76 times the D-man BBB ever was.

  4. I must say moeman, that was awesome. I think that was BBB starring as the snake-oil salesman sent out of town and dropped the suitcase on his foot.

    As Scott said, there were a lot of happy kids and families yesterday. Nice to see 6 of his teammates there too.

    1. why do you want to door him, do you hate bikes, you probably even hate girls on bikes:)

      Lego goes in the massive fail trade. We could have had Lego who would be our best center right now, plus those two high second round picks one of which is Bearcat.

    2. You know I always loved Lego Steve. Someone remind me who we got for him? Probably a shit D?

      Delete
    3. no we basically got SSR. We send him to Wash for two high second round picks, we get SSR from Chicago for two low round second round picks, one of which was the 30 overall.
      SSR has been a Major Meh IMHO. On a cup run he might have proved valuable, BBB did planned his cup run like Napoleans march on Moscow. Serious fact, the march on Moscow mostly failed because of poor buttons, soldiers could not keep the coats closed and lost body heat, like Lou Grant tracking a forward. If there were no boards in the Bell Center, Lou would back up to the 8th row on most rushes.

      Delete
    4. And 3 days later signed him to a 6 year / $23.4M.
      Druid signed during a press conference to a 6 year / $33M.
      Neither had even placed a skate on the ice.

      Try before you buy, Lego carries the same cap hit for the next 5 as he does now - total $17.5M before hitting the UFA.

      BBB says if you want loyalty, buy a dog. He should have said that to eMpTy i/o extending his BFF's contract so he can play golf in Florida and watch hockey games.

    5. juce I will take Druid over Lego even though I love to play with those bricks. All my houses are made of Lego and do you know something, if you want a hometheater or privacy
      those bricks absorb all kinds of sound.

    1) The Habs needed Lego way more than they needed a guy like Shaw. Fail for bbb.

    2) I hope when PFK scores his goal tonight (you know he will) he draws his bow and shoots that arrow up into bbb's dumb face. EPIC fail for bbb.

    Man, has that fucking guy run this franchise into the ground.

      Btw someone from Japan hacked my Google account about six months ago. So any comments that made sense, they were for sure not from me.

      I heard the 12 inch Babcock on the radio today. One thing that I caught aside from his horse cock was the mention of the skills coaches swarming the marlies, I am guessing the rocket is using keronsene to light the lamp.

  10. We are the Montreal Canadiens fans we have faced this kind of adveristy manytime before and won. Acutually thats something Trump would say, we are in a brand new world of hurt with handcuffs.

    The NHL is right now functionally dysfunctional. A handful of team wanting to win the cup. A handful of teams looking for those royalty cheques from Canada and trying not to spend a cent over the bottom cap, and the rest of the league tanking, full submarine no stealth looking for a franchise player that can cut through the crap and win in the the today./

    Lego and PFK, two good players fucked over by Arrogant Fuckface eMpTy and his foxhole friend. I notice they are thriving in their new organizations and are probably quite happy. What does that say about the Montreal Canadiens? Plus, the shitty way they treated 16 year veteran General Markov. Some of the sheen has worn off les (once) Glorieux. I'll bet they are quite high on NHL players no trade to list.

    A little over 25 years ago I read a book about the top 100 employers to work for in Canada, and the Habs were on the list. This coincides with the last time they were any good as a team on the ice. There has to be a connection. This is such a poorly run organization the last 25 years.

    1. no love lost there, clearly. But if that (petty jealousy) is what it takes to motivate the leadership of this group to show up, it's a poor reflection on them. KidA always shows up, mind, but the rest of the gang, especially PatCHes, has not got the stones to get past PFK? Geez

      Delete
    2. Certainly not PK's best game and not reflective of his season overall. I think the Habs did everything they could to not let them be the team against which he surpassed his career high.

      I wouldn't trade KidA because he is the heart and soul of this team. I'm sure most teams would pay a king's ransom to get him. That said, I don't understand why he seemed to attack PFK on a personal level. It's not PFK who came in and tried to make it all about him, it was the media. Of course the media would talk about him, of course he's a story given the season he's having and how the trade has turned out. CJ wasn't too kind either pre-game interviews, I guess he remembers how much he burned the broons.

      Everyone knows he would have visited the kids because that's what he always does and 6 of his mates volunteered to go with him and good on them. If he can use his celebrity to help sick kids and their families and the community he loved I see no wrong in that.

      On the other hand, PFK didn't personally attack anyone, he kept it to hockey and got his digs that way.

    A really well played match. Montreal did great against a superior opponent. The PFK stuff was all media driven which was to be expected. Regarding kidG and PFK, not everyone likes everyone on a 23 man roster. Some people will rub someone the wrong way regardless. I have found this in all walks of life whether in school or at a work place. PleXXXe didn't get along with PK either they went at more than once in practice.

    This was the first game I have watched for quite some time and I admit it was to see if PK would burn his former team. The biggest difference I saw between the two teams was Montreal has too many AHL players in the lineup. Nashville just had to bide their time and wait for bbb's "better than last year" (4th best in the whole fucking league) defence to fuck up. I'll give credit where it's due, they were decent last night but it was inevitable that Nashville would break through.

    I agree with K3X, gCHuk is a top end player, I would say he is slightly better than Drouin because of a superior shot. Keep him. Lekhonen is a keeper as well.

    Gallagher, Galchenyuk, Drouin and Lekhonen are the core of the team going forward along with Mete perhaps. They might as well keep Price he can come along for the ride.

    I don't care who didn't like who or that PK was a showboat or drew attention to himself. That was a bad trade that hurt the team. If you HAD to trade him, get your fucking center you've needed for the past 20 years, not an older, slower defenceman with a hard shot on the PP.

    The toronto sports network, purportedly a national sports broadcaster had a story the other day that babcock had tears in his eyes after the leaf won the lottery and drafted Awesome M. That was two and a half years ago. Wow, must have been a slow news day.

    Where the heck is moe? I'm still waiting on his essay. He better be hard at his homework. :-)

    1. Hey kids.

      Been busy planning some family get-togethers with my sister. She is doing well. Stitches come out tomorrow and 8 weeks for the next update. We expect the cancer to be 100% gone.

      Spent the last few days tagging up with family, all over this planet. Not getting younger and FWIW, we are a partying kind of gang, so many gatherings in ON and QC coming up this Spring/Summer.

      All of you in here are like family to me but, of late, since the Nw Year, family hits home even harder. I am becoming the go to guy for both sides of my Mom and Dad's heritage. I plan on partying hard, really hard.

      ~~~
      So, I'm kinda surprised about the KidA and PFK brouhaHabs (again with a cool new word). I'm giving KidA dibs on this round. I've said it before, he is the heart of our team. No FHFucking question about it. Is TFS™ the soul? I hope so as the man is deeply rooted.
      I watched the game on/off. It was good. Pekka was outstanding, otherwise the Habs win 5-1 or more.
      The starting line-up was almost if not ALL AHLers. I can appreciate a coach sending out his 4th line to start the game but man oh man ...
      KidA owned this fucking game. I love PFK, love his style and moxy but he ate this one and his post game comments proved it. No worries on either side of the puck-drop.
      The SFU can simply fuck off. Yeah, their team is playing well and Babs can fucking cry all he wants in acquiring dis-honestly a #1. The cheating leaf can fuck off.
      My player reviews will come right after the trade deadline, depending on who stays/goes.
      The only Hab hired honCHo that gets an early review is dgmb, as he has left over $10M on the FHFucking table. Explain to me how a top 3 riCH team leaves money on the FHFucking table? I could fucking care less about the un-obtainable big centre but leave that much money sitting there, doing what? Fuck off already and spend to the cap and I'd suggest fuck the cap limit and take a fuckface tax penalty.
      Good to hear from you moe and all the best to your sister in her recovery. Enjoy all your family gatherings, they are special as we all get older. My cousin puts on a gathering every few years they are FHFun.
      KidG will be the next Captain of the Habs. He played extra hard last night. All that crap last night is just gamesmanship, two players who like to chirp their opponents and get the upper hand mentally. I've got no problem with it and like moe, I will always hold PFK in high regard.
      The reason numbnuts bergy had so much money on the table was his shoddy treatment of the two Russian players. They said Fuck You to the dumpster diver and he was left holding Geoff's money bag. I have had enough of his lies and bullshit, he can go fuck himself. If Molson insists on this clown finishing out the season, any trade of veterans should be for picks/prospects only. Let the next guy get the center they desperately need.
    Also, I now have more to look forward to than the SFU trade deadline hype of nothing... moe's report card. It's amazing how so many SFU "insiders" can sit around for so long talking about so little.
    ReplyDelete
  23. Good news about your sister, I predict gene cures for cancer will be commonplace, but the ability to pay will the issue.
    Big talk today about KidA and PFK. The NHL has never seen a player with the skill, personality and drive like PFK. He is not doing anything different than NFL, NBA. tennis, golf and other athletes have done for decades. The rub is he is the first hockey player. 99 had the deals but he was not a hot dog, Mario and Sid had little interest.
    I agree with the KidA's of the world. The crest on the front comes first, not the number on the back. Montreal is never going to let a player become bigger than the club, and thats why he was traded. The only way PFK would have worked in Montreal is if he was treated like Karlson is is Ottawa. They were not going to do that.
    1. Of the 4 Habs listed as top trade potential, the only one I don't agree with (but IMO most likely to be traded) is GCHuk. He is the future. Patches, Pleks and SSR are not. But what do I know...trades are hard remember...
  26. Now that we have video evidence of GCHuck and TFS both cavorting with the enemy (PKK), assume that both players' days as a CH are numbered. I don't think it's fair though. GCHuck has not played great D but he is a star with a good contract, a 30-goal season under his belt, and an exciting player whose worst games have coincided with overcoming serious knee injuries. Cutting players some slack is not a forte of the current mgmt however (sadly).
  29. Maple Leafs are on Nash’s 12-team trade list
    “I included the teams that I think have the best chance of winning the Stanley Cup and are also places I think would be good for my family,” Nash told the New York Post over the weekend. “And, yes, that does include teams in Canada. I’m not excluding that as a possibility.”
    It remains unclear which other Canadian teams, if any, are on Nash’s list.
    I don't know why I find this hilarious. But there are about a dozen SFU organizations reporting that "Nash would accept a trade to Toronto." But nowhere will you find a quote other than the one above which says he is open to certain teams in Canada. I guess Toronto IS Canada, therefore it's obvious that is one of the teams. My bad.
    I know I shouldn't click on that shit. Can't help myself sometimes...just need to self harm.
