There are two games I cannot understand, either the concept or how to play. Cricket and Australian rules football.

  4. Cricket nope. Aussie rules football I've been watching the past couple of years and have it mostly figured out. I find it easier to figure out than rugby.

    1. Another misogynist indiscriminately killing women for being women. 1989 Polytechnique all over again. I am glad that cop refused to shoot the asshole. My heart goes out to all the people suffering from this heinous, disgusting act.

  6. As for playoff hockey, the only thing I've watched were the last Jets and Pens games. That would be a fun Finals.

  7. My daughter was at the park right there on Sunday. My feelings and hopes that somehow the people robbed by the deaths of their love ones can find a way to carry on. Incidents like this are a failure of society. When we marginalize and ignore peoples anguish they strike out. This guy was not insane he was mad because he could not get laid. What gave him permission to kill? I would say the phrase collateral damage.

Ha Ha Ha. marc bargainbin sniffing around dumpsters again looking for a center, what a fucking loser.

Eric Engles dreaming about Rasmus saving the franchise and somehow Price and Weber are going to convince Johnny T. to come to Montreal 'cause a 28th place team is somehow going to be that much better. I think most teams in the league except for Buffalo and Arizona look at Montreal's so-called "core" and laugh at it. This team is in a deep, deep hole dug by bergevin with Molson's support. There are so many pylons on his D you could hold a road course race with them. Watch any of these playoff teams and imagine if the Montreal side could even remotely compete. Even Toronto, one of the easier teams to play against beat them all season long. Winnipeg would fucking destroy them.

I'm a Habs fan but I have finally faced reality. Putting on that red jersey does not make you Richard, Beliveau or Lafleur, or even Koivu. The roster assembled by bergevin, and make no mistake this is HIS team is a fucking disaster. That's reality.

That's my rant, over to you moe.

    2. listening on Montreal TSN690 - exciting game with back and forth momentum. Broons scored two in third period before the first Leafs shot to regain the lead. 5-4 at the midway point of the third.

  12. Over on recrutes.ca Grant McCagg wrote a scathing indictment of JJ Daignault as assistant coach. His main quality seems to be that BBB knew him in high school and therefore trusts him despite a record of absolute crap at every coaching assignment he has tried.

  13. Highlights so far: Kapenen making Ratface a laughingstock in front of his home crowd... SuperPleXXX saving a goal early in the first period.

  14. Pastrnak makes it 6-4 Broons

I stand by the fact they should have taken Laine.

Laine is the real deal. Big time shot and tough as nails.

I would not write off Awesome just yet, but midget marner is a lot better than I gave him credit for. That kid is a player.

All the pundits thought Kekalainen was nuts to take PL Dubois over Pulujaarvi, turns out he knew what he was doing. PLD is the #1 C for Columbus while Jesse could barely make a crap Oilers team.

I reiterate, Rasmus Dahlin, if the Habs win the lottery, will not miraculously save the Canadiens from another bottom 5 finish next year. The problems are many and even though it appears General Vodkov has forgiven bargainbin for his shoddy treatment, the dumpster diver will not be fixing any of those problems. Based on his performance since July 2016, he will only exacerbate those problems by making more panic trades and poor signings. Enjoy all those empty seats Geoff.

  19. We are back as the fav to win the cup before the leaf. I second St Pad on Laine. I will take gCHuck and Druid over Shaggy and Nystrom.
Leaf D would be traded by bargin, and it would be the right move. Freddy is boom bust goalie, they are fucked.

Saint Patrick is returning as Head Coach and GM of the Quebec Remparts. It will be good to see him come back to Harbour Station, there was always a vibe in the building with him there. OTOH, guess we won't be seeing him behind the Habs bench or up in bargainbin's spot in the pressbox anytime soon.

I'm happy the br00nz finished off the wretched leaf last night, no more leaf blowing and Awesome sucking for a while at least by the SFUckers. Go Jets!!

  21. I thought there might be an outside chance of seeing St. Pat in Laval, but I think his ego is probably too big to 'just be a coach' of a minor league team. Plus we know MB keeps all threats at arm's length.

  22. Best recap ever! From the Beaverton: Inspiring! Leafs restore normalcy to Toronto by collapsing in playoffs.

When things looked as though the Leafs might win the series, Babcock gave a stirring pep-talk during the second intermission and inspired the team to go out there and shit the bed for Toronto.

  23. Most entertianing thing I will see from this playoff is the Lanie vs Shaggy point score.

Not that we need any more evidence that bargainbin is a fucking liar and an idiot ...

    Bertand Raymond quote
    From Google translate:
It’s a bad start when the owner claims that the PK Subban exchange was planned for several months while his general manager contradicted him by swearing that the negotiation was a matter of four or five days. Before being transparent, could not they start by tuning their violins?

So who do we believe here? Am I reading this right from the Google translation when Molson states that MB had been working on the PK trade for several months while MB insisted it all happened within a few days?
The article also suggests that CP is the attitude problem. If that is the case then they need to find out why he is so unhappy and either trade him or sack the general manager. I prefer the latter.

I know you have to consider the source, but still...
