What a fucking great game thread. A little cheesecake, a little muscle, a little pussy and a cheap shot at the SFU and their blue and white and black and gold blow job recipients.

These games are on too late for me, I may pvr them and watch the next morning if I don't have to do something else.

    Giddyup!

The defence, yeah about that. Schlomo, Wrong Benn and Alzzzzsnore... are there 3 worse D in the league on one team. Holy fuck, you can't hide all those guys. Bring back Jewel and maybe bring up on of those Czhecks they signed last summer.

  8. WOw St Paddy I hope the Habs bring as much energy to the game tonite.

Have you heard about this Nylander guy, selfish hockey player. I am in the belly of the beast and its really entertaining. I have sold 3 of my patented Dumbass leaf vapours this week.

And SIM pretzel lucic has 2 goals in 60 games and if they made a team that was the oppostite of the Golden Showers he would be captian.

Buttman is in the hall of fame, Willie O'Ree more deservedly so. Many femmes with even strong provence have been honoured. None of them tops Paul Henderson, Paul Henderson is not in the Hockey Hall of Fame and thats just bullshit.

Go You Fucking Habs Go, God give Leko a fucking goal FFS.

  10. Will try to get through the first tonight.

I still say the Oil of Oy Vey is the best trading partner for the Habs. Couple good young dmen the Habs could use one of. Or just TFS for McSaviour straight up would be fine too.

Jesus Price for McSaviour? Interesting concept but not a chance.

The Habs don't need a $10 million dollar goalie. They do need a $10 million dollar center. Price and Alzner for Malkin and Sprong. Done.

      Delete
    2. That trade offer was tongue in cheek, but I do think that if MB was ever going to move Price (before Seattle gets a team), western Canada would be the destination. Price for Draisaitl with other partsand maybe eating a couple million of Carey's salary...

  20. oh... and on that intro still....

that bit about wrongbenn u guys are now seeing? why did u guys all ignore me when i pointed it out when they got eliminated in the playoffs? i think u guys were totally smoking the illegal weed by backing BBB for getting back a broken bbq, and trying to sell wrongbenn as a choice for dependability and defensive zone play over flashes of brilliance. i remember he was directly responsible for two of those losses in the elimination series by making jj daigneault like plays leading to gwg's.

anyways... with petry keeping up his best PFK impression, reiley continuing with his recent play, mete quietly developing into what n8 was supposed to be, and juulson becoming chelios 2.0, i think the d is actually pretty above average!

    1. It was Prust, not Higgins. But also got a 5th round pick...have you heard of Casey Staum? No?
Traded to Oil for Ben Srivezina, whom they waived after 15 games.
Talking about goal 2? Schlomo let up on McD where a good PFK hip would have ended that play at the blue line. So yeah. As I've said, first thing this team needs is help on D. Crazy to say, but Lb is severely missed on this team.

  30. This is a translation from what I understand is a less than Honorable website

"Beyond statistics, we will undoubtedly remember his magnificent goal scored in the second period. Josh Brook carried the puck from one end of the ice to the other before deflowering the goalkeeper through a maneuver between his two legs."

  48. Winning, good for TFS, Leko and the whole team.

  49. Great win! Carey! Carey! Carey!

You know, if TFS has to save the day about every 5th start or so and the offence manages to win 2 or 3 of the other 4 at least, and the defence can be somewhat stabilized upon the return of BBQ, then even though not an orthodox method of going about things it could work for this team to make the playoffs and contend for a couple of rounds. But if they want to win #25, they're still missing a few key pieces. But then again the VGK didn't have a cup final team on paper either.

can't go far without being able to win face-offs
can't go far letting in more goals than 90% of the league

    1. And Nick Suzuki with Owen Sound has 33 points in 20 games and is a +13.
And considering how much the VGK's suck this year, there could be a top five 2nd round pick too.

  52. One of the bottom feeders have to be a good trading partner to help shore up the D. I'd love to get Pietrangelo from the Blues. He does have a 6.5M cap hit for one more season beyond this one, and nobody in their right mind would take Alzner back in a trade, so the numbers would probably be difficult to manage.

Speaking of Alzner, nhlnumbers.com has a buyout calculator. If he is bought out after this season, he's on the books (cap-hit) for (and I'm rounding here) $1M in 2019, $4M in 2020, $2M in 2021 and $1M from 2022 to 2024.

I think it's well worth it if you can't find a Schmo to take him off your hands.

  53. 4hf'ers... i kinda like the multi-game threads u guys got going on this yr. im a little sad not to see sexy fridays regularly anymore, but considering the many man hrs this saves moeman, saint paddy, and kmaxxx, im down with it. besides... with these homestand/roadtrip threads, we get to follow the team on a larger marcro level. instead of always bitching at them to JFW, we can keep bigger things in mind in evaluating their overall play.

on that... the win vs the flamers last night wasnt much better than the loss vs the oilers. ignore all that corsi crap and just look at the most telling stat ever: SOG.

    saint paddy @9:10
thats not an unorthodox way at all. i think that strategy is absolutely brilliant. it could totally work. ive always wanted something similar myself as well. my version just wants them to go 3-2-1 every six matches. i dont think 25 is a good number at all though. that only gives 50 pts (unless ure counting on them collecting a $#*!tonne of loser pts). i think they need about 45 (plus a handful of singles) to be in playoffs as a good team.

    SIM @1:30
good list. really good list. u/f only really good teams have all of them. we had something like that until 'the trade'. now, all i want is to have #3 and #1 fixed. #4 is a bonus to have, but not essential so long as #4 and #1 are achieved.

TFS better bring it tm or else these canucks are gonna blast him and the entire team further west to hawaii like steve said @7:20. it drives me nuts when everybody in vcr suddenly becomes a hab fan and when they lose... everybody cant quickly enough take off their reds. any of u guys here? we meeting at the pint pre-match. msg me and ill get ya a beer (sorry geoff, we dont drink ure crap out here. we will watch it, but dont ask us to drink it.)

  54. I think, or maybe desire is a better word that we offer sheet Nylander 7 for 7. We cant lose. Its a gamble that he is as valuable as PatCHes for seven of his years under 30. It will piss Dumbass off so much. It would make the COTU mental. Its a win win win win.
