  1. Ratface and Lego a class clash. Will we see awake Druid or Sleepy Durid tonite. The whole team is in a scoring slump. Trump is President and the Pee Wee Party says JT works for the Illuminati, it cant get worse. JFW.

If you check out Jabba's new lines and his new PowerlessPlay alignment, the absence of top end talent becomes apparent. I think they punched above their weight for the first three months of the season but the chickens are coming home to roost. Maybe the annual December swoon was delayed until January. That being said, JFW.

I'm headed out tonight for dinner and a movie so keep me posted!

  4. I'll tune in but will be primarily watching football. Colts/KC in the snow should be fun. Cowboys v Rams too. Zeke v Gurley. Go Rams.

    Now Habs JFW.

    1. Nice.

Curried chicken (with potatoes, carrots, coconut milk and a nice dollop of peanut butter).

    2. I know you're not a fantasy football guy, but this year our league converted to a keeper league where we can keep up to two players after each season at the cost of a round higher than hos draft round. So I picked him in th 11th last year so can kep him as my 10th round pick next seasonm 9th round the following year etc. So barring injury I could have him as my QB for a good 8 or 9 seasons. I like that idea,

And agreed, I haven't enjoyed watching football other than the Pats (sorry) like this ever. I mean I've enjoyed other games but not like this. The kid is infectious. And confident as hell.

  9. Remember not so long ago we were saying win or lose at least they're fun to watch. I miss those days. Not sure what changed, maybe the other teams have just figured them out? Maybe they've regressed to normal? Maybe they are actually a lottery team?

Whatever the deal, I'm finding their game far less entertaining than the first 35 games or so.

  10. Good period but should be up by a goal or two.

FFS, they just can't finish a play.

  14. What a great few minutes with goals by Kuul and KOko!

Now the crowd can fuck off with the olé.

I miss the old sha na na na hey hey hey goodbye song from the (80s) when a game was in the bag for sure.

  24. Well Hughson and Simpleton can't wait for the leaf broon series in April.
If I was suddenly granted one wish, I wouldn't ask for infinite wealth or peace on earth. Just that for as long as I live the leaf miss the playoffs by one point each year.

  26. I have always been a Cowboys fan so while Moe is happy, I am not. Happy that the Habs played well and shut the Avs out. Happy that KotK scored a cracking goal. Happy for JB scoring and for Kulak getting a nice goal...but sad as the Cowboys lost...but whaddyagonnado...GYFHG!

  27. the whole segment is gold, Burkie is great on the air. But you have to see the goofy shise the Whalercanes have to do after a win, its high larry us.

Kidko needs to shorten his stick an inch. Alzner needs to go back to the AHL, Tsar may stay in Russia, he can make 4 mill a year after 2020, and with a lockout and no olympic appearnace he may do the the crazy ivan on us.

I am starting to worry if there is enough liquidy in the Canadian economy to fund Billy's new contract. (Billy is a Maniner, not to be confused with a Matimer)

Last night we went to the venerable Mediterranean restaurant (Greek/Italian), been around 40+ years, it's a favourite of ours. I had chicken souvlaki and Mrs. Maritimer had the chicken parm, it's always good. Then we saw The Mule, ol' Clint Eastwood still carries himself well at 88, pretty good story, a little slow at the start but it was interesting. Apparently based on a somewhat true story with the usual Hollywood add-ons.

I recorded all the hnit stuff, FFW'd most of it but I did see the Burkie segment with the ridiculous Hurricane shenanigans, what a weirdo owner this Dundon guy is, right up buttman's alley along with Duck calling kazoos, glowing pucks and conman owners galore over the years.

  34. Stayed incommunicado on the weekend. Played in the annual company volleyball tourney Friday night and we somehow finished 2nd. Which just really means we had to play more games and were late to the bar and only got the dregs of the pizza (some got none at all). So finishing 2nd and no pizza for some isn't worth it. We should go back to our terrible selves next year and aim to be first to the bar.

Quality football weekend. Both conference championship games should be fantastic. Can't see the Pats beating the Chiefs in KC, but I would never bet against my team, so long as Bill Belichick is at the helm to bring new and different looks each week. Rams v Saints could be a barn burner too. I know the Pats haters will say differently, but I see know combination of potential superbowl contestants that would make for a bad game. Chiefs v Rams. Chiefs v Saints. Pats v Rams. Pats v Saints. It all sounds good. (just especially those last 2 :-) )

    2. One more thing...even though there will be a new GDT and nobody will see these posts.
The best thing about the Pats-Chargers game? End of the first half, the Pats sack Rivers deep in Chargers territory. Camera pans to a female fan in the audience holding her jacket open 'flashing' the audience and written across her ample chest (on a sweatshirt) were the words BIG SACKS. Play of the day imho.
