  1. I see this as a big test of what needs to happen before the trade deadline as well as what could happen through the end of the season...JFW!

    1. Tough for Thompson, demoted from first to fourth after being given BBQ's Cloak of Awesomeness for his work against the BJ's

but I don't believe he has a nick yet? So I was looking into this...

My first thought was Thompson Twins, but they were most notable for their ability to squeeze only the most horrendous sounds out of the synths of the day, and their most popular song, Hold Me Now, was pretty much a whinefest, so nuh-un. N8 cannot be reissued, but he is Alaskan and he converted to Judaism for marriage, so: TKA (The Kosher Alaskan!)

      Anyone got something better?

    2. My God man, that works! Synth in again to take a crucial late period face-off in the Habs end.

  4. I know we don't want to make this too political but I just want to point out the Clerk of the Privy Council of Canada is right now laying a smackdown of integrity on the Justice Committee that is ten times more righteous than any political speech any of us will hear in the coming election.

Opens saying he is worried for the state of our country. Coming from the chief mandarin of 37 years' experience serving governments of all stripes, I just gotta say: Dang!

I'm not sure what you are saying but as moe likes to say, tsn, snet and hnit aka the SFU have zero integrity.

  6. Is a Synth similar to a Cylon? Sounds like a sinister sci-fi character. And that's not a bad thing.
Hey our #6 is just as hot as Cylon #6. You know, because he's a BBQ.

  7. I don't expect MB to make any big moves, and he shouldn't.
But what about moving SSR to Philthy in a deal for Simmonds? I like SSR, but it's more about managing risk, and I fear he's one concussion away from being finished. Could still let Simmonds go to FA, but depending on what he did in the playoffs (insert assumption here), consideration on signing him could be given. Though I sense he's going to be looking for more than he's worth at this post 30 stage of his career.

    Anywho, just thinking out loud.

Keep Shaw. He keeps the opposition honest. If he were to be concussed again (perish forbid) he wouldn't count against the cap on LTIR. Not hoping for that at all just pointing it out.

As much as I would like the Habs to acquire Matt Duchene, I think bbb should just stand pat and wait for the new guys to develop. Out of Poehling, Suzuki, Brook and Ylonen plus Primeau they should hit one winner. Plus, Kid Koho will be the No. 1 center we've been waiting 25+ years for.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I'm not convinced about what Duchene is worth but I will say that Huberdeau is a player I'd like to see made an offer for. Nothing crazy and he has value but I've always liked his play.

"KK is like 10 points from removing that POS from the rookie scoring record. I want him to break that record more than I want a Stanley Cup this season! Anything that removes that shit stain from the record books is a serious win for all true fans of the Montreal Canadiens!"

what did u mean by that? im confused. r u talking about mats? what's wrong with him!?!

    1. The reference is to the vile mario tremblay, who has the Habs rookie record(s) for points. KidKo is getting closer to having that record as his own. mario tremblay, although a Cup winner, is persona non grata, from slagging PK to being the fucking stupid impetus for the Patrick Roy trade/removal. He is pure scum, just as bad as the league of SFUers.

      Delete
    2. I was curious too oleg, but had an inkling. Sure enough it's the POS I thought he was talking about. In the 74-75 season, Mario Tremblay scored 39 points as an 18 year old for the Habs. That stands as the most by an 18 year old in the CH sweater.

BTW some guy wearing #99 scored 137 as an 18 year old 5 years later.

    4. Note that Mats Naslund and Kjell Dahlin have the rookie records at 61 pts. Scumface has it as an 18 y o rookie. I think.

      Delete
    5. Yep, comparing KidKo as an 18 year old. The young man can't even frequent bars, in Quebec!

      Delete
    6. Moeman knows...cannot even begin to describe the depth of my loathing for that POS...so I want KotK to take his Habs 18yr old record...then maybe no one has to ever mention him again!

      Delete
    7. I'll hold back for now but tremblay has become the most horrible ex-Habs one could imagine. I asked RDS, when tremblay went on his drunken racist rage against PK, to never put him back on air. Of course there must be connections to keep him in front of the cameras. I'd punch him in the face if I ever was near him.

    8. I'd hold him down for you Moe. Pure evil scum!

2006 was not a good draft year for the Habs.BlanCHe was the hilite.

I'm convinced they drafted him only because they drafted Price the year before. So then they had Fisher-Price.

Columbus pushed all their chips onto the table ... Panarin, Bobrovsky and Duchene could all walk away on July 1 and they have no 1st round picks for the next two years. As it stands today, they are not in a wild card position so they need to finish in the 7 hole to avoid Tampa in the 1st round. It could be a disaster for the BJ's.
