    Header needs some retouching.

Parody when it is an important team the Habs face-off against.

      Time to rock
Lets play it tight and close to the vest.
Lets be hard to play against.
The leaf will be nervous and jittery as the continue on with their slide into irrelevance.
Lets stay healthy but at the same time lets show our truculence.
Lets dance like a butterfly and sting like being hit with giant fucking brick.
Lets pound their D with Powerhorsian high speed crashing in your face gimmie that effin puck fore checking
Lets also make sure somebody lays a hard one on Captain Underpants.
Lets do that and then see what they do.
      CHester is stoked
      Go Habs

  5. Nice way to set the table for the first season in 20 years that Carey Price wasn't a part of the CH family. We've moved so far past it now, it's hard to fathom.

I'm expecting BOLD and Dobson may take some time to find their way on a new team, and a few others with their new roles may have an adjustment period too. So if it takes a few weeks to get up to speed, it's not gonna make me panic. Let's just hope the injuries don't pile up like in recent years.

One thing's for sure: as young as they are, this team has got top-tier talent, depth and leadership. The competition is tough, but this edition of the CH could surprise if things fall into place.

Now where do I get my #31 Price Sharks jersey?

    ;-p

  8. Ladies and Gents and Other,

Hi! Miss you all. My first visit since the passing of my numbersake. Thanks moe for the (real) 29 tribute I am seeing now, well done. Quick adjustment to my username and avatar. Having met the man I cannot emphasize his true class.

Goes without saying how happy I am to see you all! And moe for keeping the lights on. And at the beginning of a season with actual excitement and promise no less! I am ferklempt.

    Die Leaf Die. GYFHG.

  9. A homemade mushroom pizza thing. Drinking a Boulevardier (or 3) while making it, a nice rosé ready to go, even though it is way too cold for rosé with a fucking frost warning in the 514 for tonight. I opened it 2 days ago when it was 25 degrees!

  10. Non-hockey note. I am possibly finally over my 30 years Jays hate stemming from the Expos vote (if you know, you know). Go Vladdy. Go Jays.

I suppose we'll forgive for the softening on the Jays. But I'll never get there, but enjoy the run.

The PP will hopefully look better too.

  17. Regarding the baseball comments above, I abandoned that sport 21 years ago when MLB stole the Expos with help from the carpetbaggers Loria and Sampson. Even if I was still watching the game I would never, ever cheer for the blow jays. I have a long memory and yes I get 'the vote' reference.

  18. The Habs would be winning this game if wasn't such a sieve.

  19. I see Carey Price has a new gig, spokesperson for the Ford F-150 Tremor. Cool.

  20. SlafLAZY shouldn't have let Reilly in to score that.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Way too much free wheelin' going on tonight, not enough structure in the Habs game. Marty better get that fixed quick.

    ReplyDelete
  22. To be fair, the Leaf played a very good, disciplined team game all night, despite having little PP pressure. And Stolarz was stellar. Good lesson for the young CH on how much any little mistake can bite you. À Détroit, hôtie!

  23. Demi should be on PP1 instead of Slafuselessky

    1. In good time. Slaf was pretty good on the PP last night though. Just the one play on the 3rd goal that he got out-hustled on.

  24. Chris F. Lee reffing tonight in Detroit. Great. Well, the new Habs PK should get a good workout anyway.

  25. I would predict another loss tonight, 2nd night of a b2b blah blah. Hopefully it will be an OT or SO defeat, every point is important. I think I'll sit this one out, maybe check out the score later. Keep us posted SiM gracias.

MSL lets his players play their game within a system.
    Mistake's will happen.
    Boys have each other’s back.
Going to be a fun season.
    Dobes might be a #1.

MSL ‘we were good in both games’.

He knows the leaf did not deserve to win yesterday. Habs lost it. leaf didn’t win. 💯

    1. Agreed. Montreal carried the play a lot and had the leaf pinned in their own zone for long stretches. Two broken sticks and a fluke goal did them in. But, the Habs did shoot themselves in the foot a bit with too many passes and being too fancy. Shoot. The. Puck.

OK, 27-17 Giants I'm off to bed. Crosses fingers for luck.

  37. Two nice wins for the Maritimer last night.
Habs beat the Dead Things and the New York Football Giants defeat the cocky Eagles handily.
I feel much better today, I'm going to try and break 80 at Rockwood Park.

@Saint Paddy, did you grab Cam Skattebo off the waiver wire yet? ; - )

    1. I've been in the land of no internet (and very spotty data reception) so missed the games last night.

I drafted Skat in the 9th round actually. One of my bright spots as I've had a terrible time with injuries.

    2. Didn't break 80, my putter went cold today. : (

  39. Just home now (spent a long time sitting on the highway, I fear it must have been a fatal collision).
Anyway got to see the hilites from last night. Boy they look good. Still a relatively low shot volume though. That needs to improve.
Marty won't take the #1 status from Monty yet but this could easily turn into a 1A and 1B scenario where they play a relatively equal number of games...unless Monty severely shits the bed.
