Noodles O-Dog These are grown ups right? Adults?? Three of the biggest leaf blowers ever and that says something Just another reason to not listen or watch the toronto sports network Bullshit from the armpit Go Glorious Habs
I've tried to listen to those 3 clowns but that Hayes guy comes across as the atypical smug tranna leafool. Can't stand the sound of his voice. Noodles is just fuckin' stupid. ODog I can tolerate but only briefly. If I want the SFU perspective I'll listen to Kyper and Bourne, Nick will at least criticize the wretched leaf when they deserve it.
I knew Pittsburgh was in tough against Houston, I watched a Texans game a couple weeks ago and they looked really good. I've always liked Stroud as well, excellent QB. Should be a good game with your Pats playing well.
I think the Habs should celebrate this achievement very soon.
Maurice "Rocket" Richard famously scored five goals in a single NHL game on March 23, 1944, all for the Montreal Canadiens in a 5-1 playoff victory against the Toronto Maple Leafs, becoming the first player to be named all three stars of the game for that achievement.
You just can't keep a good Maritimer down. Rick Bowness back behind the bench in Columbus at 70 years of age. Man, I turn 57 in a couple of months and can't wait to retire and stop working. Next year (June or December...tbd) if I make it that long. Gotta go run some numbers. Maybe if my job was yelling at...er I mean, coaching millionaires, I'd do it forever.
Habs have 11 games until the break. I can see them getting 15 of 22 points. That would give them 73 pts in 57 games. A .640 winning percentage. With the standings so tight, that's the kind of pace they'll need to keep up.
Importantly (surprisingly) is that 3 of 8 games starting Thursday are against Buffalo.
Too bad for Tomlin Seems like a proper coach Wonder if Mr Axman will dress tonight He had a few less than stellar moments last night Didn't help playing with Ghouls Don't think they've been much of a pair this year Fingers crossed for him He has just demolished some folks lately Nice to see Guess he's too young to know (was it a Smith that patrolled the devils blue line) Can't remember his name but he just crushed you the moment you crossed the blue line Anyway it'll come to me as a thought at a later date So let's just shut down that effin Overchicken , putin bum buddy I digress Go second line Go us Go Glorious Habs
They also had a late arrival in Washington last night, slow through customs, per Marc Denis this morning on TSN690. Some players couldn't check-in until 3:00 a.m.
Why did Slaf let him get positikn in front like that? Oh well. They played tough all night and had shitty puck luck. Rest up in Buffalo tomorrow. Wings on me
Biggest take-away? Fourth straight very solid start from Monty (43 shots, tabour-wette!) means he is back. I sense a decision coming very soon that either Birdman or Doobie won't love, but in full HuGo-we-trust fashion, will be good for them in their personal professional development.
Couple of moments by Sluffoffsky was all it took to make the difference. That's OK, like everybody says, 5th in 7 nights, 2nd of a b2b. He'll learn from those mistakes. Maybe make them a few more times before muscle memory kicks in. Team is in a good place.
And I will never stop thinking that Monty's early troubles were to do with the Olympic pressure in his own head. He said before the season started that it was on his mind. Now he has clarity. I think the best thing is to send Birdman back to Laval for this year. Let Monty and Doobie play a 2-1 system so that neither sit too long between games.
You could tell they were out of gas in the third. If they could have got one more goal on that 5 on 3 that would have probably got the win. Agreed, Birdman should be the one to go down. For now. On to Barfalo...
3-1-1 ... 5 games in 7 nights ... can't complain too much although it would have been nice to take a point off Detroit. Still along way to go but it would be a more favourable matchup if Montreal and Detroit can finish 2-3 in the Atlantic division, they would play each other in the first round, assuming things remain as is.
Looking at Tankathon's strength of schedule (SOS) calculator. I guess you can't predict that some teams are going to be better than we thought and others worse, perhaps...but right now, 6 of the 8 hardest SOS are from the Atlantic division, with the 2 FLA teams then sitting at 22 and 25. I don't know how it worked out, but it makes sense that those 2 would have the easiest schedules down the stretch.
Of particular note on that page is that the Habs are listed in the 'toughest remaining opponents' category. I'd bet it's been a minute since that's happened.
Ya agree We have too many warm bodies both call ups and reclamation projects Something has to give Bet Hugo is working a package for a trade that blindsides us Will startle the friedman and Peter the Brown Can't wait Go Glorious Habs
what the heck is it with this franchise?! when they underperforming we bitch at them. now when they doing opposite, we need to still keep bitching! hahaha... im jk, but seriously, that idiot play by slaf at the end cant happen again. not just him, but anybody. that kinda lazy backcheck is how good honest goals are scored.
the real reason why im posting is b/c in returning to my first words, we are in a situation now where the team is doing gangbuster work, but on the near horizon, kent and jeff will have some serious decisions to make.
somebody above called out tex as a good candidate and i fully agree b/c u always want to sell high, right? other guys im afraid to lose are powerhorse, 7evans, wifi, and iron kaiden.
but looking at the biggest problem... is that our three headed monsters in goal? what to do fellas? i think its unanimous, birdman has to be kept. and that means its either monty or doobie which must bid a rivederci. where do u guys lean on this?
In answer to oleg's question here is a possible scenario regarding what HuGo MIGHT do.
As we saw last night (well, I only saw the 3rd period) The Habs are still a relatively small team with not a lot of pushback when the going gets tough. PowerHorse and AX-Man can only do so much. They need to add some sandpaper in the forward group and HuGo are well aware. There are tons of rumours around Blake Coleman from Calgary. Whoever they have in mind I believe the package going the other way will likely contain a player that we won't want to see go. I don't think they will trade anyone they've recently signed or traded for so that narrows things down. Tex, Bull Duke, 7Evans are probably safe. I don't think they will trade any D. This is only my opinion but I think Wool (salary retained), DaCH, Veleno and Beck are strong candidates to be moved along with any prospect not named Hage or Reinbacher. Doobie could be a possibility as well. Bottom line they need to get tougher if they don't want to get run over in the playoffs again.
It'll be very interesting the next couple of weeks.
Its a battle out there. O Dog is sporting a Demdieu hoodie. I would trade Hage straight up for Tomas. A bird in the net and in the hand is worth three in University.
Yet, there were the Panthers today, in their sycophantic matching red ties, standing proudly behind the warmonger, gifting him a Panthers sweater, replica Stanley Cup rings and (of course!) a golden hockey stick. It was embarrassing when they visited the White House last year. This year it's traitorous.
Thank you for showing me this blog, I had forgot about J.T. who used to post a lot on Boone's game blog.
Yeah, fuck the dirtbag panthers. Truer words were never spoken about the orange pedophile ... 'pure unadulterated evil' and I would add stark raving maniac.
Shit game. I agree about Fowler. Was texting with a buddy asking why tall goalies get so low. Brian Wilde will maybe have something to say about the reverse vh or whatever the hell he calls it.
Yes, he looked good at the beginning but it doesn't take NHL video scouts and NHL shooters long to find weaknesses in any goalie. Birdman will regroup, get some good instruction from Laval's goalie coach (like Monty did) and get his mojo back. Get Monty and Doobie back in a rhythm. Beck also sent down, is DaCH or Wool returning soon?
I have played civilzstion like a back to back back to back. This is the world the Habs are in. We have more new cities than most. Do not trade them away for Gaza.
Not a big baseball fan but seeing the CotU get slapped around whilst missing signing two supposed sure things is delicious. The bball sfu whines as arrogantly and ignorantly as their hockey chum.
Ha Ha ... the dirty florida ratfuckers go to the White House, kiss the ring, and proceed to go to red neck Carolina and get smoked 9-1. I wonder what poison the orange pedophile fed them? Whatever, it's deliciously ironic.
Just finished watching the Nuremberg movie starring Russell Crowe and Rami Malek. Great acting and some scary parallels with current events. Highly recommend it.
