    1. So many devastating lines:
"Thursday night’s lack of retaliation for Radko Gudas’s slimy knee-on-knee takeout of Toronto captain Auston Matthews, which left Matthews out for the season with a torn-up knee, took the Leafs’ reputation for team-wide gutlessness to a new level."

"...Nylander and Reilly, the backbone of a spineless team."

      Yowza!

  4. The leaf are essentially a rudderless ship now.
They are literally years away from being relevant again.
Especially after Nachos tells them he wants out.
    Johnny Tranna is washed up.
Middle Finger Willy is useless. He'll get moved this summer.
It's a rotting pile of compost in hogtown and we are here for it!

I remember when that fucking slimer loochitch flattened our goalie can't remember his name but our team just stood there. Embarrassing.
So lets keep Mr Ax please and if possible Mr Strudel. The PowerHorse is getting a little old for face punching.

  10. "BROSSARD – Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes announced on Friday that the team has acquired goaltender Hunter Shepard and forward Jake Chiasson from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for forward Riley Kidney.

Shepard has played 15 AHL games with Belleville, posting a 6-7-2 record. The 30-year-old netminder has also posted a 2-3-1 record in six career NHL games with the Washington Capitals and Senators.

Chiasson, 22, has registered one assist in 20 games this season with the Belleville Senators in the AHL. The 6-foot-2 and 181 lb forward has also played 16 games in the ECHL with the Allen Americans, producing eight points (2G, 6A). The Abbotsford, BC native was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the fourth round (116th overall) of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft."

He's not the same player he was but let's not throw the guy under the bus.
Keep managing his minutes and show him some dignity.
At some point he'll have to sit a game but he can still contribute.

A rested Gally will be a better Gally in the playoffs.

As a good BM GM you got to condisterf the CHance of homo bbq. Not something on any radar but due diligence you have to question everybody about eating human flesh. And do not take any exuces it was a baby? No Dinoges eat my baby going on. No movie with Sweedy Sweet with tit tatoss
saying innocent. So what does that matter to the CH. Well bathrooms seem to be sacred and video hoses seem to be more intereestted in five holes than assholes. I think thats the number one question I ask of my video coaCH. So we are way past that and rainbow tape and penis envy;\Lets win the cup in the old fashion way, were being a man on a mission and taking names and fighting back regardless of your teeth or your face was a path to victory. Not a multimidea path. It was a path a 5 year old went on all accross Canada, and only a few hundred made it. But the millions had shins you could not stop

  17. Didn't take NBC long to stop showing Corey Connors.
Double bogied the 3rd hole and haven't seen him since.

It was a lot, way to careless with puck possession.

  37. I checked out after the 1st - wasn't feeling it...clears the Habs were not feeling it either.

    ReplyDelete
  38. The turnovers and lack of execution were obvious last night. Even a dummy like me could see it. So could Lane Hutson, who said it post game. Pronger said before the game they will get caved in in the playoffs playing Marty's system. We'll see, but they have to make it there first. That may be in question as well with more stinkers like that.

    1. And will Lep draw back in? The Ides of March are upon us, so long as there is no backstabbing going on. Which reminds me, 52 years ago today I nearly died from appendicitis, 2 days before my 5th birthday. It's my first real memory. I'm not as fortunate as Pyjama Johnny who remembers watching his leafs when he was 2 years old.

      Delete
    2. First, Happy Birthday! Retirement must be getting close!

Second, you didn't miss much last night other than a great CC snipe off the wing. Nick scored a nice goal but he had so many errors last night ... very unusual for him.

Third, appendicitis is very bad, my sister was very, very sick when she was 12 as her appendix ruptured and basically poisoned her. She was in the hospital for weeks as I recall.
Our youngest son had a hard time with it when he was in his first year of university. His mother took him to the ER in the morning (I was out and joined them a bit later) and he had to undergo emergency surgery that evening.
All that being said, I still have mine, for now anyway...

Think I will take a pass on tonight's game, I can't stand looking at those fugly orange duck costumes anyway. Blechh...
Old KidG will be back tonight according to Marty, good luck to Birdman aka Gator.

      Delete
    3. Yeah my mom always blamed the doctor for rupturing my appendix. Said he pressed on it when they put me on the table and I screamed and came 3 feet off the table (probably an exaggeration 🙂).
I was in the hospital a month and have a memory of eating a lot of fudgesicles.

My bday isn't until Tuesday but thank you!
Turning 57. Looking to retire next June (2027) around the same time the Habs win the cup.

Too bad the Yellamaraju kid frigged up the 18th. But nice to have another Canadian option, even if he's from Toronto.

    4. Well, he started out in Winnipeg so we'll cut him some slack.
Hopefully he's a Jets fan. Or maybe even the Habs...

  41. Well now, this is an interesting finish to the Players Championship,
In the top 6 we have a Swede in the lead, followed by an Englishman, a murican, a Scot, an Austrian and ... a Canadian! ... not named Connors! Sweet!

    Young team, yes.
    Can be coached.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Pretty simple solution.
If you are are tied or ahead after the 10 minute mark of the 3rd period, lower the chokula cone of defence. Get the tie at least.
These guys are trying to pad their stats.
If they won't comply, bench them.

Pro hockey players playing hockey who cant lock it down. Can I say retared or lose my chance at the Order of Canada. Here is my take on Don Cherry. He was the most respected voice in hockey for 30 years. He drifted into areas he had no special knowlage about and it was wrong. But still he is like Paul Henderson, a great collection of fucking assholes have the order of Canada, and Don deserves it way more than anyone except Terry Fox. Calling a French person a Frog, was not differant in my day than calling a Homsexual a faggot. Both where wrong but both where just your mother wears army boots insults. Chicken Swedes, Don was a Donald before Trump. He was an entertianer not a social commentator. I can see why people today would say he was a racist fucking asshole, but back in the day 80% of the country felt the same way.
