The Pinto...the wannabe to end all wannabes. We all must admit it...and I mean everyone who has frequented this place of ours,..we are all guilty at one point or another of looking at the Pinto and saying "yeah...that's cool" ... obviously we all came to our senses...but we've all done it at least once...especially if Mrs. Majors was sitting on the hood...
So I have just discovered that I can watch The Glorious Habs on Saturday night cause I stream City+ Who knew So this will be a rare experience with mclame hahahrudy and another some guy and some woman So this will be a thing for me GGH
I like John Bartlett, but can't stand Galley (I believe we're all in that same page). So I'm thrilled to have access to the Nashville feed. So far the y are a very low key duo to listen to. I like it.
The Nashville broadcast is interesting. In the first, they spent probably a full 3 minutes praising the skilled players on the Habs. This was during play and culminated in the Demi goal. They spent half of the 2nd just talking with Ryan Johansen,. He retired and it was his night. And the HMCS Hal Gill is the intermission analyst.
Sooooo much better than the painful panel or the fried man.
As happy as I am with where this team is right now, I remain unimpressed with Dano's overall contribution. I just hope he's pacing himself and saving his A-game for the playoffs.
In 2020, the Leafs had a 21-year-old Matthews, a 22-year-old Marner, a 23-year-old Nylander and a 25-year-old Morgan Rielly. The best under-25 player on the Montreal Canadiens at the time was a 24-year-old Max Domi. The Leafs and Habs were miles apart, or so it seemed. Fast forward to 2026 and the Leafs have no 25-and-unders of consequence, while the Habs have Cole Caufield (25), Juraj Slafkovský (22), Lane Hutson (22), Kaiden Guhle (23), Ivan Demidov (20), Jacob Fowler (20) and Michael Hage (19) on the way. Looks like the Leafs will be chasing the Habs for a while … ... sfu
Watching a game hilites video and the scum at tva heap praise on the jays, basically calling them 'our' team. Note it was that little twerp renolavoy yipping. POS
Lol the leaf are all tough now saying they want a piece of Goon-ass this time around. He was injured on Thursday but wants to play them no matter what because of 'the code'. This league is seriously fucked up in some ways when you think of it. Basically gladiators on ice.
Congratulations to the new NDP leader Avi Lewis, who talks a good game but will really not amount to anything more than a placeholder until Wab Kinew is ready to go federal. Macpherson would've been a more sensible choice. Carney lucked out.
The Canes are going on the PP after appearing to have been on a dominating pp all first 7-1/2 minutes of play. 6 shots blocked, 6 saved by Doobie already. Not one puck sent towards the Canes' net yet.
I've been off line for a few hours as the youngest son and his significant other were over for dinner. I didn't hear that Cassidy got canned and Torts replaced him. Is Leapin' Lou Lamorillo in Vegas now? That's his move this time of year.
Boy, Columbus might feel that loss on the last day of the season. Giving up a 3 goal lead in the third and losing in OT! A regulation win would've put them third in their division and only a point behind Boston in the wild card race (when they inevitably get kicked back down to the wild card) . Instead they are four behind Boston, still in 2nd place in the wild card spot, only 2 points up on three teams, each with a game in hand. I'm kind of hoping for Columbus just because of the Rick Bowness factor. And a little bit because of the Johnny Hockey tragedy.
Habs need to just keep pressing forward and stay the fuck out of that mess. We dealt with that enough last year.
Good news is per my .500 hockey analysis, they are on pace for 103 points if they play that poorly. Columbus would need 15 of 18 points to get there. Those teams at 86 points would need 17 of 20.
The Bruins are interesting. I keep hearing the 'experts' saying they aren't that good, yet there they are. They keep winning. They also have 2 games vs TB. Including the Habs' 2 games vs them, those might be the 4 most important games left on the schedule for this division.
I think Marty is fucking up for the first time here with his deployment of the Ax man It's clear he has an issue with him but playing him five minutes every four games is insulting and degrading to the Ax man Hugo should do the right thing and trade him cause Marty won't play him Stick tap to Ax for staying classy GGH
Note to any leaf fans lurking on this site --- if you want to see what a real captain and hockey player looks like --- watch Nick Suzuki. He is up there with the best of them.

Selke (should be named the Gainey) is a given. The Rocket will be very close. Calder is predetermined for the rookie Isles dman. MSL will be nominated again this year but not beating Bednar.
Never liked Woods. An entitled punk who thought he was too good to talk to the media or anybody else. He has proven who he really is over the last decade or so. ReplyDeleteShe had the bad luck to die on the same day as Michael Jackson.
So the family plans are cancelled.
ReplyDeleteGood, I'd rather watch the Habs and Mr Saturday Evening (™️ by Carey Price on a recent podcast).

ReplyDeleteNo points for Sens, Pens or BJs, but Broons and Isles both won today.
ReplyDeleteRoCH was really good on Stamkos one-on-one defending there. Nice team reaction in defence of Birdman.
ReplyDeleteNot a bad period. Starting the 2nd with a 4 min pp can't be a bad thing either...

Well done lads. One more big one vs TB then can't play down to the lesser teams in NY and NJ.
ReplyDeleteYoungest team in the league.

I blame Robidas.
Hire Big Bird as a playoff consultant immediately.

DeleteDobie is 21.
ReplyDeleteI think he's 24. Still a youngster though. And a Cane killer. F U Dundun...
DeleteYep. Fowler is 21.
DeleteTwo great Habs wins and the séparatiste slug francois gag-non decides to soak Torts cork. Fucking nordiques lover.
ReplyDeleteTB win and reclaim top position in the division. Boston tied it with 11 seconds left in regulation. No good news for Sens and Wings today.

ReplyDeleteIndeed. Lindy Ruff too.
