Butt butt.... Ahem or is it amen Anyway time to get back to work. Would like to see 7 against those hurrican'ts Read a long and statistic laden article comparing Ax and Stroudel. I think somebody has to give Marty's head a shake. Watching the leaf skate around after underpants goes down with a similar situation with the orc and the snores with Miller and the rags taking out snores and no push back. It's for all intents and purposes the playoffs and without an Ax your skill guys go down. Dunno if any of you FHF remember that picture of Richer in the stands with a broken thumb or hand from an obvious slash. He was our guy. So Marty wake the fuck up and dress Ax and give him some love and some minutes and some help cause he has the skills to be an all round player as well as one of the best face punchers in the NHL Ask CC his opinion cause he'll be the first one taken out by a knuckle dragging neanderthal followed closely by by Fast Lane. It's the playoffs Marty. Lock and load. GGH
You guys learned nothing from bergy. Let me refresh your screens. You have teams that get to the playoffs and teams the get the playoffs. You cant have to many D men. Get the playoffs and anything will happen. He was fucking right on the last point where a habs team held together with duct tape made it to the finals. If MSL thinks the assaisn cat play, I got to go with MSL. I gotta expect we are going to have a lot of face wash and face punCH to work through. It doable, but remember how big bird destroyed the PhuCHtards foreverer. Unfortuntaly the axe man is not that playre
No points for Broons, Wings or Isles, good good. The Sens don't worry me; the wound of losing Sanderson AND Chiabot is so fresh they're still in shock, but they can't keep winning much longer.
First time I've seen tsn stick around to show the 3 stars and Marc Denis' interview. Maybe they finally recognize something special is going on in Montreal.
Wow what a game. Dobes was stupendous. But even with the mismatched shots, it seemed like the last 45 minutes of that game was some of the best hockey the team has played in a long time. One thing that worries me and Brian Wilde mentioned it is that the Matheson-Dobson duo doesn't seem to perform well together. I love the Hutson-Dobson pairing. But I guess Guhle is better off with these pairings, so you gotta give to get I guess.
Maybe it's good for my ticker, I'll miss the next 2 games. Poker night tomorrow and family in town Saturday night (the Bruin fan 👎). But those are 4 gettable points. I recall saying that about a weekend vs 2 California teams too though, so I'll just shut up.
Brian Wilde also mentioned that Carolina might actually be the Habs' best opponent in the first round. I don't disagree, but also don't want them flirting with dropping into the wildcard position. So onward and upward and they will play who they play, should they manage to make it to the dance. The other likely options are stay in the 2 or 3 spot and likely play TB, or fall to the other wild card spot and play Buffalo. As dreamy as their season is, I'd rather play Buffalo. A good old Adams division dust up! Mind you, if you guaranteed me that we could grab tampon bay by the string and pull them right out of the playoffs in round 1, I'd take that in a heartbeat!
My metric for a while has been 'what if their pace reduces to .500 hockey for the rest of the season?' As of today, that would get them to 100 points.
Sitting just outside the wildcard position: NYI 85 pts - would need 15 of 20 points (.750 hockey) Det 84 pts - would need 16 of 22 points (.727 hockey) Phi 80 pts - would need 20 of 24 points (.833 hockey) WAS 79 pts - max out at 99 points if they go 10 for 10.
It feels like we're in a really safe position despite the tightness of the race. One or more of the teams in the race are due for a slump (like losing 3 of 4 in regulation). It just needs to be anybody but the Habs.
Blogger still won't accept my profile. Oh well. One game at a time. They'll play whoever they play. Exciting times for a change. Hey, remember back in the late '90s when the Habs leading scorer was Martin Rucinsky with 49 points? Or Oleg Petrov? Dark days indeed.
A quick scan of the toronto sports network on the interplex reveals an absence of leaf spew. You have to scroll to find a leaf story even tho they beat the beaners. What a shift in infotainment for the armpitians. wow. GGH
I think the SFU will be closely following all their leaf off-season activity as they rebuild a championship team. They won't give a rat's ass about barfalo ot the the turds.
So I've been doing some reading on the dumpster fire and the draft pick situation. in 2026 if they are not top 5 they loose their no 1 so the tank is on big time. In 2027 they get the avs no 1 and the avs won't be top 10 so the dumpster fire gets a late no 1. They have 2 pics in the 3rd round of 2026 and two 2nd round picks in 2027. The only way this "team" will be anywhere close to rebuilding/resetting is if they start dumping underpants or the cone head as they are the only two worth anything unless they trade Knies or is it Cowan(?). The absolute mismanagement of this "team" cannot be overstated. What a fucking mess. Their cupboard is bare they have no picks the coach has lost the room the GM is a nomind and the whole smelly thing is run buy a stupido and the Ontario teachers pension plan hold final say. They actually should make a documentary on this, how not to achieve anything with an NHL franchise. I wonder if Buttman will butt in and pull something out of his ass for those poor armpitians and their dumpster fire. The hilarity has no limits. GGH
Hey CHester, a good analysis of the situation in the Armpit or, as we like to call it down here in Atlantic Canada -- Hogtown -- 'cause they want everything that anybody else has. Yup, they have very few picks of note in the next 2 years and the cupboards are bare after years of 'going for it' with no leadreship to speak of to get them there. Nachos couldn't give a flying f_ck about tranna, he's only in it for the money. Middle Finger Willie, he doesn't seem to care one way or the other -- he tries to stay hidden. Johnny Toronto just wanted to wear the sweater, he was never really a leader either, not on Long island or in tranna. I think L'il Mitchie cared but with 50% of their cap eaten up by the Core Fore! he couldn't get the pieces to help. As you say, moving Nachos for a big package like Guerin did for Quinn Hughes in Minny is the only way out but I don't think Pelley has the balls to do it. We Habs fans are going to be looking down at those stupid fucks for years to come. One final note, The Ontario Teachers divested themselves of ML$E years ago, the leaf are pretty much fully owned by Rogers and possibly a minority share with Larry Tannenbaum but I'm not sure of that. The putrid leaf are the flagship for Rogers/Leafnet, you can be sure they will pour money into them just like they do with the Blow Jays. 'Twill indeed be fun to watch.
But I tuned into TSN SportsCenter and they start the show with a full 7 minute conversation about the leaf with chief cheerleader Hayes from Overdrive. Then onto the Raptors.
I'm starting to think the " it'll get worse before it gets better" sentiment is true...except it will never change. We got what we got. I'll just be here to watch them squirm when our lads parade down Ste. Catherine's St.
Just as a quick note to The M My dad ( from NB ) told me that the name Hogtown for the armpit was because it's claim to fame was it was a large hog source or distributer or how ever that animal stuff works. He always called it Hogtown and it was just a stain on Lake Ontario till the effin separatists got in power in the bell province and all the anglos scampered down the 401, effin whimps. Us Montrealers made something out of nothing at the armpit. Course the place has gone down the pooper since but still. CHester's opinion of Hayes and noodles and O dog hasn't wavered. Smug full of themselves know it all bucket mouth no mind fuckwits. There I said it. GGH
Interesting, I first heard the 'Hogtown' name from an old WWII Navy vet that was in my department when I first started working in Saint John. He was the one who said the city was a greedy entity that wanted everything form everybody. The meat distribution center actually makes sense. I've also heard it called the 'Big Smoke' ... is that a reference to smog or air pollution?
there are a few missing from their list in that article: - CotU - Loserville - Losers since 67 - City of Losers (the opposite of Boston's claim) - Smells like dogshit (heh, this reminds me of chebornek, ifkyk) - ShitCity...
First of all I believe any conspriacy therory offered with the slightest hope of being true. Hogtown comes from it being a major slaugherhouse. The big smoke is from our Native people. Lots of Tee Pee lots of smoke. JFk was not killed by a lone gunman, and the building 7 , WTF.
JT Miller is such a dirtbag. He was poison in Vancouver, they were lucky to get rid of him. He is poison in New York, long may they reign at the bottom.
So I'll just be following along watching the scoreboard tonight.
GYMFHG!
Also... Go Pens over Turds, Kraken over Dolts and Stars over NYI. While these games aren't that important, teams below the Habs losing is just a positive. And I'll always cheer for nearly any team over the fucking dolts, and there is still a chance to get 2nd in the division and home ice advantage.
The West conference is whack. I was looking at the Tankathon strength of schedule and scrolled down to the easiest sked. The Kings have 11 games remaining and they are all classified in the 'easy' column, with a combined winning percentage of 0.478. They only play one team from the east, the lowly Hogtown Big Smoke 6ix Shithole leafs. 🤣
I still want to know if one of those horrible 'Ontario only' gambling sites that we are constantly bombarded with would do a special novelty futures bet. I would like to bet on the leaf not winning a cup before the final member of the '67 team passes. I wonder what the odds would be? Wouldn't bank nearly as much now as I would have if I made that bet a year ago.

Great frickin' game. They've learned how to play defence... at least in the 2nd and 3rd periods. The game plan seems to be play rope-a-dope in the 1st and let the opposing team tire themselves out. Works for me.
Canada is a hockey country. Deep into the final weeks of the season before the playoffs. The leaf choked on their own puke. The sfu has puked away the season. They are now cork soaking blue jays.
Habs did better than me last night. I was up big all night until the end and lost a big chunk with a full house (kings over jacks) to four kings. C'est la vie. $20 for an evening of foolishness with buddies, commemorating our recently dearly departed friend. In his honour we had donair eggrolls (which he always provided when he hosted) and everybody had to drink an Alpine Lager, which was his beer of choice. It's been a while since I've had one of those New Brunswick specialties...and now I remember why. 🤮
Yeah, Alpine lager ... made here in SJ by Moosehead. Not their best product for sure. Moose lager or the Pale ale is not too bad. They make few craft beers as well. Unfortunately, I can't drink beer anymore because it triggers gout in my feet.
Might be a bit early to think about the draft, but I see Maddox Dagenais, son of Pierre, is a big C that is expected to go maybe late in the first round. IIRC, Pierre was with the team in the dark era around 2004/2005 and was he was good at something. Shootout maybe? I think he was also part of the buddy trio with the legally admitted pervert Mickey Ribs and Theodore? Anyway, the kid looks pretty good and could be a target if the Habs are picking late in the first round. Though his stock has been rising and might be closer to a mid-first round pick.
fried man rarely mentions the Habs in whatever rumbles in his fat head, but today we get this unbiased wisdom...
22. The only north-of-the-49th team not to host an outdoor game is Montreal. The issue is not “want,” but “where?” The Canadiens are trying to solve that. TVA’s Renaud Lavoie reported Wednesday the plan is to build a temporary stadium where summer music festivals are held at Parc Jean-Drapeau, near the Canadian Grand Prix site. I’ve heard 42,000 seats (Renaud said 40-45K) with a target of the 2028-29 season. A women’s game would be part of the festivities. Would be awesome, and we need an outdoor game in that city.
23. Don’t overcomplicate things: make Toronto the opponent.
24. Speaking of Montreal, a few executives who saw Alexander Zharovsky recently said the Canadiens got away with grand larceny picking him 34th in last year’s draft. Apparently, that selection in that spot is a discussion point in scouting circles.
The SFU will continue their narrative that the laffs are the Habs' "forever rival" in order to try to keep the team relevant for the next 10 years. We all know it's the Broons. Hell, it's even the turds moreso than that steaming pile of compost leaves.
Fucking Tiger Woods gonna keep doing this shit until he kills himself, or god forbid, somebody else? JFC, the media can't help themselves, it's all about money and ratings so they'll still be hoping for him to play the Masters.
You know you’re tanking when you send your current best player back to the Ahl and you lean on your smallest and youngest player to fight battles. Also, when you make your number one fan (mclame) eat his own shit over and over for decades …
You hired The Chief, a total lunkhead known for his penalty minutes totals, because he’s The Chief and you hyped him more than that other guy Bab’s Cock.

ReplyDeleteWow what a game. Dobes was stupendous. But even with the mismatched shots, it seemed like the last 45 minutes of that game was some of the best hockey the team has played in a long time.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that worries me and Brian Wilde mentioned it is that the Matheson-Dobson duo doesn't seem to perform well together.
My metric for a while has been 'what if their pace reduces to .500 hockey for the rest of the season?'

ReplyDeleteDeep into the final weeks of the season before the playoffs.
The leaf choked on their own puke.
The sfu has puked away the season.
They are now cork soaking blue jays.
Of all the séparatiste fucks on RDS, and there’s many, gaston thivierge is the worst and should be face punched.
ReplyDeletethérien, which loosely translated in joual is yournothing
DeleteIt is impossible to compare fan reactions in the Bell Centre to the morgue in toronto. The sfu has tried to zero effect.

ReplyDeleteI think we're wonderful
Yes
GGH
Scoobie Doobie doo. Long time since we seen that kind of twine binder.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo. Keep on truckin'!
ReplyDeleteHabs did better than me last night.
Sounds like a proper send-off was done.
DeleteYeah, Alpine lager ... made here in SJ by Moosehead. Not their best product for sure. Moose lager or the Pale ale is not too bad. They make few craft beers as well. Unfortunately, I can't drink beer anymore because it triggers gout in my feet.
DeleteMight be a bit early to think about the draft, but I see Maddox Dagenais, son of Pierre, is a big C that is expected to go maybe late in the first round. IIRC, Pierre was with the team in the dark era around 2004/2005 and was he was good at something. Shootout maybe? I think he was also part of the buddy trio with the legally admitted pervert Mickey Ribs and Theodore?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, the kid looks pretty good and could be a target if the Habs are picking late in the first round. Though his stock has been rising and might be closer to a mid-first round pick.
I think that pick gets traded at this year's Draft. But, I was looking at him as well.
Deletefried man rarely mentions the Habs in whatever rumbles in his fat head, but today we get this unbiased wisdom...
ReplyDelete22.
I suggest a change of opinion ... "Don’t overcomplicate things: make the broons the opponent"
DeleteThe SFU will continue their narrative that the laffs are the Habs' "forever rival" in order to try to keep the team relevant for the next 10 years. We all know it's the Broons. Hell, it's even the turds moreso than that steaming pile of compost leaves.
DeleteI am not a fan of the outdoor games. It's a dumb gimmick. But the site makes perfect sense and the exposure for the women would be awesome.
DeleteAnd if it must come to pass, then yes, let it be the Broons.
DeleteNewly signed Hab Owen Protz will be nicknamed Protz, because it is FHFun !
ReplyDeleteSome names cannot be improved upon for sure. Good for the kid. Can't have enough dmen in the pipeline (though it seems AX might disagree lately).
DeleteFucking Tiger Woods gonna keep doing this shit until he kills himself, or god forbid, somebody else?
ReplyDeleteJFC, the media can't help themselves, it's all about money and ratings so they'll still be hoping for him to play the Masters.
Tiger has fallen so far. He’s actually hooked up to djt jr’s ex. What the fuck is in the Florida water except alligator piss ?
DeleteOLED soon upon us. Rejoicing will be had, except for mclame, who’ll need a diaper change.
ReplyDeleteYou know you’re tanking when you send your current best player back to the Ahl and you lean on your smallest and youngest player to fight battles. Also, when you make your number one fan (mclame) eat his own shit over and over for decades …
ReplyDeleteYou hired The Chief, a total lunkhead known for his penalty minutes totals, because he’s The Chief and you hyped him more than that other guy Bab’s Cock.
DeleteWill create a new road trip thread soon but this one hemisphere proof of what FHFun is all about.
