Bullet points for what you missed while dreaming of (having nightmares of?) going to Mars with your wife...
- 5-1-2 on the road;
- +15 goal differential, tops in the East;
- 7-0-2 since that Saturday Leaf Ugliness ("SLUG");
- TFS leading the league in wins;
- TSN mediots whining about a faceoff for 8 straight hours;
- Suck on this, CotU:
Love da TMS. No more slugs!
ReplyDeleteAdditional tsn face-off yipping by feraroar, STFU already!;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=uMM26mbDD3M
I fucking love it. All the whining and yanging about ONE FUCKING FACE-OFF. As if that was the difference. Habs came out flying and never took their foot off the gas, just like last Sunday at Daytona. Scivrizinsis actually held them in the game.
ReplyDeleteHow Celine chickening out against the smaller Prust? Made him look like a fool.
I'm going to enjoy reading the Toranna papers today.
Yep, still fucking whining in the CotU. James Mirtle at the G&M actually gives the Habs a fair shake. Said the "blown" face-off made no difference. Fuck, just pay attention Bozak, DD was ready, why weren't you?
DeleteAnd if you're not ready, then don't put your stick down. Bozak's stick touched the ice so isn't if that a sign that you're ready to go...I don't know what is.
DeleteFucking COTU media twits - that and the boarding penalty saying it wasn't a five...fuck that - the ref can't re-watch from 23 million angles in slow motion. He's got one chance to get it right in real time.
My visceral dispising of the Leafs grows every day I still live in TO.
I'm reposting what I wrote in the other post because while you sleep I slave over stats.
ReplyDeleteHere's an interested fact: The bruins have only played teams currently sitting in a playoff position FOUR TIMES (MTL, TOR, NJ and CAR-who is only there due to leading their division). They haven't played a playoff team since the Habs three weeks ago! And since you're wondering, the Habs have faced off against playoff teams TEN TIMES.
Many of the current playoff teams are surprises, I'm not saying it's part of the conspiracy (though my tin foil hat does tingle seeing them have weeks off between games). I'm just saying TSN and the like keep saying that the bruins are the 'class of the East'. Well, I think many teams could do well if they just played the SE division, Islanders and Sabers with 3 days between games. They're a good team, even I can say that (easier now that Floppy McTeaParty is gone) but they've actually done less with a lot more.
GO HABS GO!
Having said that, it's nice to beat the leaf, but this weekend has the Pens and the bruin and will be a real test. (bruin also play the day before...I'm sure someone got fired over that).
ReplyDeleteN31 bites back. Just go.

ReplyDeleteHow come with all the exhausting talk about the "face-off" that the Habs scored on , there's no talk about the fact Kadri was offside on the play leading to the 2nd leafs goal? Oh right, because Toronto scored on that one.
ReplyDeleteOr how Grabsyourfingerwithhisteeth (sorry, forgot his nickname here) didn't have a clear break to the goal or have control of the puck for that PS? Not shit talking the call, it could have gone either way, but there could have been controversy there. Only in the CoTU is a faceoff a conspiracy. Again, the team with the best PP-PK for several years running and the most refs in the league from their market complaining about the officiating.
DeleteCBC's headline is "Leafs serve up clunker against Habs" Or, you know, the HABS fucking deserved to win because they played a better game. And are a better team. Whatever the reason, and whatever the standings, you never know what you'll get with these two teams. That's what's so entertaining (and frustrating and stroke inducing).
Was it me or did the zebras miss numerous offsides in favour of The Leaf?
ReplyDelete"missed", "blatantly ignored", potato / potAto
DeleteAs McPhee mentioned above, it was clear on the 2nd goal imho
Completely off topic, but Koreans have the same word for tomato, but they pronounce it 'tomAHto'. So whenever a Korean asked me to correct their pronunciation on any word I say, "Tomato, TomAHto". Then I laugh hysterically while they stare at me blankly and I collect my paycheque.
DeleteDon't let the blank stare bother you, I have lived most of my adult life with blank stares. It's normal.

ReplyDeletegood commentary *thumbs up*
DeleteUn-fucking real..still bitching about "the faceoff"
ReplyDeletethere will be an * astrick placed in the offical record.
DeleteFuck. Yeah. Only caught the hilites on FF as i dvr'd the game, but i like what i saw.
ReplyDeleteFWIW, great column at Sportsnet here explaining how crappy the leaf and their fans are.
Can't wait for the weekend test.

ReplyDeleteKipper: Fight! Celine you fucking pussy!!
DeleteMcLean: Wah Wah Wah!!!!
Cherry: Clean up your own mess Celine you fucking pussy!!
Celine: 6-3, 220.
ReplyDeleteCharger: 6-0, 180.
Pussy.
This is hilarious, MacLean defending Celine's decision to not fight Prust. He keeps saying why didn't Prust challenge Orr? What fucking good does it do to fight Orr. I didn't see Orr challenge Prust. I saw Prust challenge Celine and she declined. You accomplish more getting Celine off the ice than Colton Orr. Cherry is right though - if you are going to go around running at players smaller than you (Kid G) then you better be ready to answer for it. Celine can't or won't.
ReplyDeleteWait, this recap doesn't include the fact that Fraser leads the league in +/-. You must be doing it wrong.
ReplyDeletehahaha.
Deletejust listened to it..yup with Celine going after Gally, he had to face the music with Prust. Grapes was right for a change.. MacLean is a tool..
ReplyDeleteDid anybody also see that stupid fucking panel question in the !st intermission??
ReplyDelete"What GM is a front-runner for Gm of the year?"
Choices:
a. Marc Bergevin
b. Dave Nonis
c. Brian Burke
Of course Boob McKenzie picked..FUCKIN BURKE!
I couldn't believe it
What not Darcy Regier? What a tool.

ReplyDeleteGo Jen.
DeleteI also yern to spend days on the couch without changing my pants.
Just watching the long form video and listing to the hinglish play by play makes me so happy for RDS. It's sad to think that in parts of this country that's your only option. Also isn't it sad knowing that The Leaf has Komo sitting in the stands, poor poor Komo. Life is full of choices.
Wow.
DeleteI thought I loved her before, but now I may go into full stalker mode
DeleteAddy, Jeninfer, Addy, Jennifer, Addy, Jenifier, is it possible to stalk two women at once without sacrificing due diligence?
DeleteI come here not to chew the Cheese but to praise him. Good game Cheese, I always knew you had it in you.
ReplyDeleteCheese did play a decent game. Didn't see much out of Plexxx last night.

DeleteEvery once in a while we must look evil in the face, and the face you will see is dear leader.
ReplyDeletePriceless memories of Celine.
ReplyDeleteso funny, you have to look a few times to see the hook.
DeleteI've watched thew highlights (Thanks 29!!) and I don't see what the problem is with that faceoff - Bozo put his stick down then lifted it to scratch his ass. How is that the Habs Problem?
ReplyDeleteCeline is a fuckin' pussy what needs stabbing in the cock!
Go Habs Go!!
The bonus fun is reading some of the leaftarded comments. These leafwads seriously believe they were slighted. Fucking drugless dreamworld they inhabit.
ReplyDeleteOne of the best from the losing-their-minds leaf fans is that Céline was genial in keeping CHarger 'offside' in the leaf zone during the PP. Really, their fucking lunkhead oaf of a captain was outsmarting CHarger and by doing so knocked off 15 seconds of a Habs PP. The in-denial depths these shitheads go to is hilarious.
DeleteI keep saying, the stats show that the leaf have the best PP-PK for years running, so they expect to always get the call. They're so used to getting favouritism (like the bruin) that when a call goes against them they simply don't understand. It's like a spoiled child throwing a fit once the mother actually says no.
DeleteGo Isles. Go Sens.
ReplyDeleteToronto Sports Network media mouthpiece and self worshiping Kerry Fraser His Groomingness has written that Brown should not have been tossed from the game and that The Faceoff should have been blown dead. Man is he working for the right people or what. I could give a fuck what his thoughts are on the rulebook. Tossing Brown and giving him 5 told both benches, none of this shit tonight. You require a pair to that, something Fraser is lacking.
ReplyDeleteNo Fraser comment on the leaf offside. Personally I think these questions to Fraser are made up and are not real people sending them in.
DeleteAlso, 1993. (Fraser has been trying to make up with leaftards for 20 years now).
Having typed that, I did meet Fraser once at the Boston airport. I talked to him for nearly an hour. He was on his way to a Habs vs. Phi playoff game. Nice guy, in person.

We are seeing the leaf trying to revive this shit kind of hockey. Skill kills.
Calgary Flames have filed an offer-sheet on Colorado Avalanche forward Ryan O'Reilly.
ReplyDeleteso they want to totally tank the franchise. Jay Feaster is the Jay Leno of the NHL, a stupid joker
DeleteHoly shit there are a lot of games tonight. And the Bs are actually playing for a change
ReplyDeleteGo Isles. Go Sens.

ReplyDeleteSo, kidz, what did we learn about the made-in-CotU 'rivalry' riptornedyarn?
ReplyDeleteTo a fucking mediot, the 6-0 rout was a lesson for the Habs to learn at the feet of their leaf. Learn fuckers!
The 5-2 leaf lacklustre defeat was full of deceit (see refs biased in favour of Habs, linesmen are fucking futile and Céline for Prime Minister yips).
Bonus, HELL will never freeze over.
Brooklyn 2 stoopid fuckin leaf 1
ReplyDeleteSo far, so good. Bought refs may yet feel sorry for the leaf. They usually do.
DeleteBrooklyn 2 stoopid fucking kadri 2
ReplyDeletestupid fucking Jackal

ReplyDeleteBrooklyn 4 stoopid fucking leaf 4
ReplyDeleteI just want to mention that I apologize for my lack of posting during games. For some reason the page takes forever to load for me so I just give up.
ReplyDeletejuce first now you, Money look out
ReplyDeleteI think it's the gifs that are slowing the loading.
ReplyDeleteLaugh my fucking ass off...
ReplyDeleteKadri scores a hat trick on the Islanders, and Blob McKenzie is going on how Hunter hyped up his player to be mentioned in the same breath as Tavares and Duchene as to who was better in their draft class.
That's some stinky breath, Blob. Kadri is good player, when he's not being a prick or setting up goals while offside, but not even close to those two.
Boston actually played? They're a...uh, 'special' team. They play at their own pace.
