  2. Happy whatever you do or do not celebrate to our FHFamily.

If you travel, do so safely.
I will be heading to northeastern NB on Boxing Day. Back in the 28th but probably miss that game.

And how about that for a nice Christmas present for our next young stud D-man, Bryce Pickford getting his entry level contract.

Maybe one day he pairs with Arber, and they are the PickAX duo...

  3. All the best to FHFers, the smartest, savviest hockey fans in the country.
No travelling for Mr. and Mrs. The M, other than going out for Christmas dinner to #1 son's place.
About a 15 minute drive to the east side of the city.
    PickAX ... I like it!

Going to be interesting how the goalie scenario plays out.
You have to keep Birdman don't you?
Doobie can still go to Laval without waivers but why would you?
Do you run with 3 for a bit to see if Monty can get his head straight?
Or see if HuGo can find him a new home?
    In HuGo we trust!

  4. I don't know if any of us has said it : A big welcome back to Phil Danault!
He looked a little rusty las night but apparently he hasn't played since early December, being sick then traded and not getting much ice time before that. On hundred percent he will get acclimated quickly, I read he and his family are so excited to be back in Canada, his kids have never played in snow or been on outdoor ice. Very fortuitist that he arrives after 7Evans got hurt and he might be out a while.
DaCH and Ghoul will be welcome additions soon I hope.
And then Sid sometime after the Olympics!

  9. Time for a little World Juniors hockey while we wait for a Habs return.

Carlos Handel D Germany (Halifax Mooseheads)
LJ Mooney F USA (University of Minnesota)
Michael Hage F Canada (Michigan) -- I'm looking forward to seeing him play, with McKenna.
Son of Saku F Finland (Liiga) -- If he's half as good as his Dad, he might have a shot.
The Latvian goalie -- These kids always play hard.

sfu ain’t gonna like Hage after this tourney is over.

Also if you add a ‘t’ to sfu, you get stfu.

      Might be into the nog.

  11. Happy Christmas and holidays to everyone. I'm excited for what's ahead. Don't care one jot if no habs make the Olympic team. They have bigger fish to fry. Just fucking win boys!

  12. For some reason, I could care less about the Olympics. It may have something to do with the IOC being one of the most corrupt organizations in the world, maybe only after FIFA?

  13. I only watched the first two periods of the junior game last night. But, from what I saw of Michael Hage, I'm not trading him for 2 or 3 years of Sid. This kid is legit, he may be a #1 center in the making.

Watching some jr. hockey on RDS and up pops the ever-gorgeous Manon Rhéaume. Damn she knows her hockey. I’m surprised we don’t see more of her. Her son plays for the US team.

  16. Hey Moeman...as you names this latest installment an A.I. Christmas break filler, I went to an AI fan for their feedback on the Habs...here:s what he had to say...

If you think the Habs are still that lovable punchline from your dad’s VHS tapes — THINK AGAIN! Montreal’s currently sitting near the top of the Atlantic Division, and every night feels like we’re flipping the script on the hockey gods themselves. We just thumped Boston 6–2, making the Bruins look like they showed up to a different sport!
And holy hell, how about rookie goalie Jacob Fowler shutting out the Penguins like he’s got price-tag money in his skate blades? The kids are actually playing real hockey, Suzuki and Caufield are scoring like their sticks are on fire, and Lane Hutson looks like he downloaded the NHL rulebook for fun.
Sure, injuries are stacking up — Evans is out weeks, and we’re juggling bodies like a circus act. But that just makes every win sweeter, every upset more delicious, and every other Atlantic team look overconfident (and underprepared). 🍁🏒 **Go Habs Go — crash the party, wreck the the standings, and send everyone home guessing!**

Good stuff 3X. Agree with all points.

St. Pad started the thread. I think he asked AI for an xmas gal with ice cream …

    2. My mistake - sorry Pad. Chat GPT and some of the other AI machines have their moments but there never is ever going to be a substitute for the real raw emotions of genuine fans

    3. Imagine the possibilities if all the world's AI LLM was trained solely on our boy steve's etchings (as I had recommemded in the first place).

      Slop? I think NOT!!

  17. Michael Hage in OT looks like Nature with even more skill. Quite a sequence that he orchestrates.

As the evil empire collapses into ruin (leaf), all the Habs stars will be coming into their primes.
As the Klingons would say : "It will be glorious..."

Remember Ryan Poeling the pole dancer. Had we traded him after his first NHL game it would have been gloruious. I say trade for Robert Thomas.

    dead things lose.
Big opportunity for the Habs tomorrow if they can take advantage of a Tampon Bay team that played tonight.
