I hear the train a comin' It's rollin' the bend And I ain't seen the leaf win since I don't know when I'm stuck in Scotiabank prison And losing keeps draggin' on Yeah!
The ticket is punched Now let's catch tampon bay and number one cause I don't want a series against barfalo Fire up the parade! On to 50 for CC! Onward to greatness! GGH
The race is tight. Lots of different scenarios can still happen. The most probable thing as of now is that the Bruins will get the first wild card spot. And Carolina will most likely get the top spot in the conference (though this is less certain). If those 2 things happen, Bruins will play against the first place in the Atlantic. In which case the Habs' first round opponents would be either Boston, Buffalo or TB. Personally, I'd love to see another Habs-Broons series. It's been too long, but I say finish 2nd to TB and play Buffalo in round 1. Not an easy win, they are staying hot. But then have the broon take out TB and we meet Boston in round 2. I've never been to a game at the Bell Centre. But if the Habs make it to the 2nd round, and especially if it's against the broons, I might have to break the bank and make the trek for a game.
But who the F know. Maybe the Habs slump to the end of the season and the Broons jump ahead of them. Habs would still finish in the first wild card and go through the Atlantic teams. Or maybe they win their final 5 and win the conference. Unlikely that Carolina doesn't win 3 of their last 5 though, looking at their schedule.
What a great time to be a hockey fan. All this drama and the only sfu talk is about how ChatGPT is going to resurrect the leaf.
Go Turds over the Dolts! (even though I dislike the maga-orc, I hate Bettman more. So the more Canadian teams, the better. There is one exception. That is not an issue this year though.)
Go BJs over Wings (I'm just still holding out hope for Bowness, but they've been struggling hard)
Go Canes over Broons (& with a Habs win, would secure a top 3 spot for the Habs)
I remember the usual cast, but it's a good reminder of the importance of the play of Josh Anderson, Lord Byron, Armia, Leko, etc. And oh yeah, Eric Staal was on that team. I totally forgot about that. I love the opening with Craig Buffoon doubting the Habs would even win a game vs the leaf. So never listen to a thing that man says.
Don't forget the Commodore, he played a big role on a line with GI Finn and Staal. And the 4 Clydesdales on the back end that would cross check the crap out of anybody in the crease.
Per usual, they had the parade planned for the jays after their opening weekend sweep. They will never learn. So they'll move onto the Argos? And pretend anybody cares?
I gotta give props to Joey V. I was quite critical of him early in the season. He's been a beast lately. The type of player needed in the playoffs. Tex might be out of luck for getting back into the lineup.
Should be able to beat a Florida team in full tank mode playing an AHL team. Tampon Bay are resting people and have key injuries. Columbus stumbling, don't have the talent Montreal does. Islanders will get a dead cat bounce with DeBore. Philthy playing desperate hockey trying to get in like our Habs last year. Should be 3 wins 2 losses in the last 5 games. Where they end up in the standings who knows. Trivia night so I won't be around for the start. G Y F H G !!!!

Hard to compare Vodkov to Dach Vader, but I will. I hope we can sign him to six for six. FFS we gave that deal to KidA back when 6 M meant something. The Cup hinges of the Sheriff, can he play 12 min of flawless D? If he can we win the cup hands down.
Angles? (not to be confused with Engels) Engine? Strombo? Streamer? (Engstrom roughly translates to meadow stream) There isn't a great one I can think of tbh.
Nice season sweep of the Stanley Cup champions. 102 pts. Not their best game by a long shot. Whiskey has noe scored two shootout goals in the hunt for his 50th reg. time goal.
The boys aren’t desperate. They’ve never fought for first place. Weak opponents, playing down. MSL needs to gauge every thing until the playoffs. Youngest team in the league.
Four games remaining. Remember what TFS said about the playoffs:
"Rest is a weapon"
Manage every player's TOI from here on out. Resting Lep and Iron Kaiden today was super smart. Now give SlafsquatCH a rest, or Maths or Dobson, or 7vens. Play Wooly Bully a game or two. Get Rhino up if you can, just to get his beak wet.
There are 3 teams in the Atlantic division with 102 points and the same number of games remaining to be played; meanwhile, the Edmonton Oilers lead the Pacific division with
There’s nothing and I mean nothing better than the sadness of cuthurt and simpleton calling worthless leaf games. Their cork soaking has zero bounds. Zero.
I watched today's Kyper and Bourne earlier, they had Renaud Lavoie as a guest. They were talking Habs and the leafnet guys were heaping praise on Gorton and Hughes and how Montreal are bursting at the seams with present and upcoming talent and basically hoping their leaf could possibly poach some of that talent by trading one of the leaf 'stars' to get some. Maybe even steal one of Montreal's execs to help their 'retool'. This is all music to my ears. Choo! Choo!
I can see a world where we all acknowlege Trump was playing 3D chess while we where playing CHeckers. He has alledgedly made tens of billions of dollars in a very short time. This is the work of a stable genius and more than that his clan a cloony have made even more. So in this world why cant the Habs win the Cup. Who is going to bribe .....
Fantastic long interview with Kent Hughes just now on RDS. Asked about Hage, he said if he's not 100% healthy, he's not far from it, and he's maybe going to spend another year at UMich. It's up to Hage and whatever he chooses the CH is cool.
Now the fun part where an RDS interviewer chats with a returning Québecois player realizes fast he's been away so long he's losing his ability to use his native French.
oooooooh! i get it! the choochoo train is in reference to what the maple leaves gm said! hahahhahahhahaha! (credit to him. hes not wrong, and he deserves appause for being so candid)
