  1. Huge win.
Get used to this kind a hockey.
And this team can play it.
They did not give an inch to the dirty Dolts.

The 50th was literally a perfect goal. Assisted by his top line mates. A snipe. At home.

I never expected that Cole would hit 50.

    Fucking amazing.

  7. Penguins punched ticket to playoffs tonight. Remember how the first half of the season we were expecting them to collapse and for HuGo to bring Sid onboard the good ship CH? They knew better and reached for Dano instead, paying but a pittance. In HuGo we trust.

  10. Take a look at the Metropolitan division standings and wild-card battle.

Now take a look at the last 3 games on the Habs' regular season schedule:

Home to BJs; visiting Isles; then visiting Phlyers.

    Dogfights all. Stay uninjured!

    ReplyDelete

The best regular season night for the Habs since the 70's. The stats dont lie. Only Demigod and Nature need to cash it for a perfect season.

And one more win for Dobeš to get to 30.

  13. Michigan and Hage lost in double OT.

We'll soon find out if he is on his way to Montreal or spending another year in school, which Kent didn't dismiss in an interview this week. Hage is not 100% healthy right now, so not sure when or if he would get into the lineup if he signs.

  14. Habs have locked in a top 3 spot.
It's 'almost' guaranteed that they just played a preview of round 1.
But...there is world where Buffalo wins only 1 of their last 2 (they play Chicago tomorrow and then Dallas) and the Habs get 5 of 6 points in the last three games to finish first.
I think there is a real good chance that the turds leapfrog the Bruins to take the first wild card spot.
Carolina is going to win the conference, which means first in the Atlantic will play the best wild card team, I think it will be the Sens.
I'd prefer to play the dolts. Getting through a physical series is the next step in their development, so why not get at it. They just showed us they can handle themselves. So LFG!

    1. Will the Habs get stuck with Cu*thurt and Simpleton for the playoffs? Or is that duo too special in Rogers' mind so send them west to cover McJesus? Or do they do the Turds?
If you had to pick, would you take Bartlett and Gawley over the leaf blowers duo?

      Delete
    2. The M2:58 PM

I expect the leaf blowers will be covering the Habs/Tampa.
I would think the regular western guys with DeBrusk will get McSaviour and the Oil.
I don't really care one way or the other, I hit the mute button a lot regardless.

  20. This is a great comment and complimentary to the archive link above :

It is very gratifying to see the Rogers executive continuing their stewardship of the game of hockey. It makes complete sense that the Leafs / Panthers game be the flagship game which they allow CBC to broadcast to the masses across this country on public airwaves paid by Canadian Taxpayers given it's importance to the upcoming draft lottery.

There is no good reason to have the Habs game or Jets game given this platform as those two games are only related to the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the chase for Lord Stanley's Cup which came to the NHL through a gift to Hockey via our Canadian Governments relationship with Lord Stanley himself.

Please continue forward Ed Rogers with your AssHat managment stylings, may all your investments in professional sports continue to Rot.

  55. Predictions:

    1) Orban will be voted out in Hungary - Fuckin' Great!

    2) Christine Fréchette will win the CAQ leadership to become Quebec Premier, at least until October - better outcome; she's not such a huge, separatist in opportunist's clothing dolt that her adversary Drainville is, and not as keen on bullshit identity politics. Quebecers want a smarter government though and she can't turn this shitshow around in time for the October election.

    3) Carney's LPC will sweep all 3 byelections tomorrow and enjoy a majority. Then there will need to be concrete reaults by the Fall or people will start getting concerned.

    4) isles will win this evening, against a depleted d-corps of Maths, Hutson, Strobelight, Ax, Egger and Rhino. But Whiskey will pot 2 and Nature will have a two-point game in a 5-4 shootout loss.

  104. Big Win. Felt like a lesson in taking a stranglehold on the opponent when their blood's in the water. Good prep for playoff psyche. I believe in this team.

  106. When you look at how good and how young this team is, it's incredible.
Even Kyprios on his last show said Montreal are only going to get better.
Better buckle up sfu, the Habs are going to haunt you for a long, long time.

  107. Gotta love the poetic justice of the team that has Roy's 33 forever hanging from its rafters being the team to take vengence on his bullshit firing by Darche to underline how bullshit Roy's firing was by being the team to unceremoniously blip them out of the playoff race like yesterday's unrefrigerated oyster-squid cheesecake.

  108. Hutson's 3 assists tonight is ine more than any CH defenseman has scored in a season. Ever.

But they only plsyed 76 or 80 games a season then, if memory serves.
