From the previous thread ... LED!! Sounds like it was another weak, pathetic effort from the sfu darlings.
Raquel, she will always be my No. 1 celebrity heartthrob.
Lots of talk about Whiskey getting 50 and the pundits always mention Lafleur, Richer, the Rocket of course, and even one of my faves from the 70's dynasty Steve Shutt but what about some love for the Boomer ... Boom Boom Geoffrion, the SECOND 50 goal scorer ever in NHL history?
Pierre Larouche also scored 50 but he wasn't a Habs draft pick.
Thank you to Ron Hextall for passing on CC and taking defenceman Cam York at #14 back in 2019. I forgive you for attacking Chris Chelios back in 1989 in the playoffs. It's all good.
Nice piece from The View From Nebraska One of the more knowledgeable scribes Everything oh so true from the dumpster fire to the armpit The smug arrogance from the clueless The hilarity shall continue However also true is getting ahead of where we are and what we need to do to get to where we want to be We're in the pipe 5 x 5 GGH
There's truth in what the leaf exec said about on-coming trains like the Habs. The consterNation's sfu always denigrates anything competition non-leaf, leaving dweeps like pellet and leafools clueless that there is a hockey world outside the CotU.
- I wish therefore I’m moe - always hyping their leaf - why bottershill - CC, team player - bieksa is a 🤡 but admits people don’t watch the Habs on the 💩 network he works for - as expected they have to switch to Habs coverage as their team is eliminated - why bottershill - scumclame (new word) gambling ad - fried fuck = mute
100 points. The train that leaf management didn't see coming is pulling away. Credit to our old friend Pomme for a heck of a game. He wasn't going to give Whiskey #50 if he could help it. Tomorrow in Montreal would be appropriate.
francois gag-non is a séparatiste francois gag-non is an ex nordiques media hack francois gag-non beat cancer, good for him francois gag-non hates the Habs francois gag-non has been around for too long francois gag-non is a fucking piece of 💩
I was not impressed with the puck watching that Bolduc did on the 2nd devils goal. That was very "Laine- esque" (non) defending from someone who must do better. MSL needs to rip him a new one for that lapse.
Yep. That and the loose play that allowed the shortie were the 2 big gaffs last night.
Yet they still won their 5th of 5 on the road in 8 nights. So I'm not too worried about it.
Back for some home cooking. Boys get to wet their wicks and find some renewed energy for the stretch run for first place in the conference, never mind the division.
My Easter whishes, some people leave the planet now. Whiskey at least 50, Demigod 20 and Slazilla 30. Sheirff plays 11 Min. Go you fucking habs Go, I can feel the cup comming home.
Easter Sunday Surprise: Isles GM Mathieu Darche fires Saint Patrick as coach, slotting in DeBoer. Damn! At least Patrick can let his beard grow in again. I did not see that coming.
From recent photos, looks like he's been allowed to grow his beard anyway. So no silver lining there. I feel for him though. Schaefer is a rookie and expectations of hiw good the team is altogether maybe got oversized.
I never considered the Islanders to be a Cup contender, other than Schaefer they have no elite talent. They are an average team with an above average goalie that probably stole them some wins. They might get the dead cat bounce with Deboer but I will be very surprised if they are anything but a quick out in the first round. If they make even make it. Washington and Philthy are coming hard.
Detroit losing again this afternoon at home ... Stevie Y might be on shaky ground, it's been 6 or 7 years since he took over and no playoffs. They will have the longest playoff drought now that Buffalo has made it.
If teh idiots who charge kids $1,000 to skate teh leaf flag around the rink have any sense they would hop on Stevie. Goldtending killed him. But they will probably go for Bargin Bin.
The leaf are about to panic. DeBoer gone and Cassidy soon. They’re looking for a veteran coach. None left unless they go way off the board and get Roy. Imagine him putting nacho in his place.
Philthy with the OT win puts them in 3rd, knocking the Isles to 2nd wild card spot, only 1 up on 3 teams. So happy to be out of that muck this year! I hope the Isles fail hard. Never liked De Bore for some reason.
hey guys... just wanna say hi. still alive out here. still reading all the comments. still appreciating SF's. missing ice cream days though... any of u guys know how we can tell its spring here out west?
both of u are right, but the true sign of it is the uptick is bandwagon memberships im selling. forget about scalping world cup tickets, im making a killing out here admitting all these idiots who - have followed us since our last cup win - whos favourite player was st. patrick - have an uncle/grandfather/ husband's cousin who played for us - have us as their "2nd favourite team" (whatever that means)...
barf, i hate my shity. somebody get me a job in mt. royal!
Hey oleg, we have had one long, cold snowy, miserable winter here in the east. I heard Vancouver didn't get one snowflake all winter. Count your blessings man!
that news story u guys saw was complete BS. we had about 3-4 days where it snowed. luckily the temperature was ~ 0 each time so it didnt accumulate. everybody here was like WTF when that came out.
and your argument fails: its all you ppl who should count YOUR blessings. the homeless have finally figured out our weather is best suited to their lifestyle.
For me, every year your team doesn't win the cup, it's a failure. The 2021 team that went to the final is no different than the 2023 team that finished last. So sure, give a woohoo because we're going to see playoff hockey. But don't get comfortable with losing. That's how you become a leaf fan.
I leave near Toronto, we got the dangerous homeless. I think the gov is preparing our combat skills for the US invasion. FFS score a fucking goal. I am mad at Math, something is not adding up.

ReplyDeleteLeafNet not so much, but the tsn dweebs are starting to show more Habs pictures, especially Whiskey, on their web page.
ReplyDeleteHe just scored 28 goals in his last 27 games, and no other Canadien has accomplished that since the Rocket. People are starting to take notice.
DeleteAuthentic punks baby !

Great open! Never seen him live but it looks like a treat. In an alternate universe I'd love to have him take a whack at covering my Üntermenschen.
DeleteLove that Morello is there with him.
DeleteCool! (Have to admit I had to look him up.)
DeleteNo points for Red Wings; not looking good for Turds either, down 3-0 with 10 min. left in the 3rd.
ReplyDeleteNo goals for Mackinnon after 20 min. Yes, we're there.
ReplyDeleteStill none after 40
DeleteHe bagged another empty netter.

ReplyDeleteThe old slow start rope-a-dope again. Should be a better 2nd.
ReplyDeleteKind of expected them to come out flat after a long road trip. It's not uncommon.
ReplyDeleteThey gave to lose a game eventually, better now than later.
Hopefully they can get a point out of this.
CCash it !

Deleteim really starting to like mike johnson. (yeah yeah i know he is one of them...), but his hockey iq is pretty good.
ReplyDeleteanother example is how he correctly said that was an easy boarding penalty on hudston
That's Frankie Corrado. Even more a 'one of them' than MJ. But so far he's been able to fairly assess all teams when he does the colour.
Deleteok. i get both confused all the time. i always have it in my head MJ is the colour guy and FC is only allowed to square off vs MB.
Deletestill... its not the first time either has said something intelligent.
another tbh confession: i kinda like GG guys. (pls dont ban me)
Cue the comeback.
ReplyDeleteide rather them cool off and then start heating up ~ gm5-6 tbh.

ReplyDeleteman.... so many opportunities. where is the urologist when we need him?
ReplyDeletePowerhorse still had a little testosterone left in him...👀
ReplyDeleteMarkstrom really looking like he's getting a shutout here. Whiskey has scored his last goal of the season looks like...
ReplyDeleteHe'll get 50, just won't be tonight.
DeleteHave a slump now. Not in 2 weeks.
DeleteOr just score the damn goal so we can get on with the regularly scheduled activities.
I shall just shut up. Long stretch of high-octane hockey. The Devils were ahead of the Habs at every step.
DeleteThe first home game after a long road trip is usually a loss. Can't win them all.
Big head in the wrong place tonight.
ReplyDeleteOff to watch Mulholland Drive.
ReplyDeleteCan't win em all. Better to lose now than in 2 weeks.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch many movies but 'One Battle After Another' is crazy good. Sean Penn killed it.
