From the previous thread ... LED!!
Sounds like it was another weak, pathetic effort from the sfu darlings.

Raquel, she will always be my No. 1 celebrity heartthrob.

Lots of talk about Whiskey getting 50 and the pundits always mention Lafleur, Richer, the Rocket of course, and even one of my faves from the 70's dynasty Steve Shutt but what about some love for the Boomer ... Boom Boom Geoffrion, the SECOND 50 goal scorer ever in NHL history?

Pierre Larouche also scored 50 but he wasn't a Habs draft pick.

Thank you to Ron Hextall for passing on CC and taking defenceman Cam York at #14 back in 2019.
I forgive you for attacking Chris Chelios back in 1989 in the playoffs. It's all good.

There's truth in what the leaf exec said about on-coming trains like the Habs. The consterNation's sfu always denigrates anything competition non-leaf, leaving dweeps like pellet and leafools clueless that there is a hockey world outside the CotU.

  38. I was not impressed with the puck watching that Bolduc did on the 2nd devils goal. That was very "Laine- esque" (non) defending from someone who must do better. MSL needs to rip him a new one for that lapse.

    Habs Magic Number = 1

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yep. That and the loose play that allowed the shortie were the 2 big gaffs last night.

Yet they still won their 5th of 5 on the road in 8 nights. So I'm not too worried about it.

Back for some home cooking. Boys get to wet their wicks and find some renewed energy for the stretch run for first place in the conference, never mind the division.

    1. From recent photos, looks like he's been allowed to grow his beard anyway. So no silver lining there. I feel for him though. Schaefer is a rookie and expectations of hiw good the team is altogether maybe got oversized.

WOW! Saint Patrick fired on Long Island. Pete DeBoer hired to replace him.
Crazy stuff going on in the league leading up to the playoffs.

    ReplyDelete
  42. The M2:11 PM

I never considered the Islanders to be a Cup contender, other than Schaefer they have no elite talent.
They are an average team with an above average goalie that probably stole them some wins.
They might get the dead cat bounce with Deboer but I will be very surprised if they are anything but a quick out in the first round. If they make even make it. Washington and Philthy are coming hard.
