Have a FHFun Friday,
What a great win last night! Whoo Hoo!! I was going to have my last word on PFK but Don Cherries over at the PK'ist couldn't have put it any better. So check that out when you have a sec.
ReplyDeleteNice SF Moeman!! btw - who is the chick standing in the green window/door frame? !!!
A smokin' Colby Smulders.
Delete+1
DeleteAs Onrait would say on Sportscentre: Canadian!!
DeleteWhen I saw that Kate Upton vid this week, I just knew it would be on SF. mmm
ReplyDeleteHappy SF everyone! Always sexier after a win. And double after a Leaf collapse

DeleteHere's a sexy stat for you kids. Diazling leads the league amongst Dmen for points. wtf?
ReplyDeleteok he has proved himself, lets renegotiate his contract
DeleteOK last comment before I turn into steve. I must applaud moeman for the Kansas reference in the post title. Those guys rocked the 70's. With violins no less.
ReplyDeleteMake sure to check the song of the day.
Delete29 be very careful! One Steve is more than enough for us here...the Habs are 2-1-0 - Steve is 1-2-0 in crashing blogger! Habs eeked out a win without him crashing the LOAD button for the first time this season. Personally I'm 1-1 when I stream the games and 1-0 when I don't. Because it's a short season I'm gonna keep a record!
DeleteGo Habs Go!!!
WOW moe. way cool

ReplyDeleteHabs look good. Habs have improved from game to game. Doing this without Lego and PFK. There is something to be said for ownership/managerial/coaching stability. It translates to the room and the players. You know I'm liking the D without PFK. He can be a distraction. The D right now is being led by Vodkov and Georges, they don't have to be yippy, they just do ... and everybody else follows. RBQ isn't floating, but one of the really big things I feel is Prust. Big strong and he can play. Really big signing. Put him with the kids and the kids are alright. You can feel the winds of change for PFK after the Stubs thing yesterday. I feel something is immenante .. imminante.. imminent... really fucking soon. Ya go Habs.

ReplyDeleteNot much to write , you say.
ReplyDeleteFirst time I've missed consecutive Habs games in many, many years. Turns out even Centre Ice blacked out the game in the TSN-Habs Region (My cable carrier, being a Bell competitor does not carry TSN-Habs). Enjoyed the hi-lites though. Saddens me that I didn't have faith in Vodkov. though about him for my last pick in my office pool, but went for Ryan O'Reilly, whom it turns out, like our good friend PFK, is a RFA and playing in Russia. Damn.
ReplyDeleteSo catching up on Season 5 of True Blood. It's just weird(er) now. But great nudity for all. Mrs. Saint enjoys Jason Stackhouse's rock hard ass, and a great extended full frontal of Lilith made my evening. Then I caught the Habs hilites and all was well!
PK and Lego will be soon packaged and shipped out.

DeleteThanks Steve. I might just try that.
DeletePFK loses the room
ReplyDeleteI've reconsidered my line of thinking. I believe PFK will relent and sign the bridge deal. He has to, or GMMB will make him sit. Hickey speculated that if the Habs were to go into a nose dive, GMMB would give in to PK's demands. I call BS no way that happens. Bergevin is holding all the cards and if PK wants in the game he signs. Another week or so and he'll be back in the lineup and Kraperle joins Lego or Blanche in the pressbox.
DeleteI'm still hesitant to jump on the bandwagon. If they can beat Fat Marty and the fuckface Devils on Sunday, I'll reconsider.
today was supposed to be the deal, this train is not moving, game twenty is next checkup
DeletePeople who think PK (and Eller) will be traded aren't thinking about the building blocks of this team's future. And if MB does that? Change the name to the Montreal Expos. Or the Leafs.

DeleteYears ago, a bunch of us went on a golf trip up to Shediac, NB. After the round we went to the local drinking establishment. One of the younger guys was hustling a couple of the local debutantes when he accidentally spilled his drink on one of the girls. One of the older guys said "Kid, you spilled your drink on that girl." The reply: "I know Pappy....that's my move."
DeleteIn all this PK thing, he still must be shitting his pants, as Vodkov and Diaz are making the PP hum, and TFS is playing real smooth right now, Ovi unloaded a few bombs and he calmly swatted them away...
ReplyDeleteIf we beat Marty on Sun.. I believe!!!
Round and round it goes;

Sign already PFK.
Great job last night by les boys - the heat's getting turned up on PFK...is it at broil yet? If and when he's traded, I hope that no fans do any racist shit when he comes back to town.

Reading about the COTU media asking about that goal celebration by Yakupov last night in Edmonton and if it was overexuberant. Well, the reffing was beyond horrible, there was a tying goal called back on a bullshit call, it was a fantastic piece of eye-hand coordination, and there were 4 seconds left. It was a pretty emotional situation...no kidding that others wouldn't have had a big celebration. Fuck you COTU media, and hopefully the over-the-top shitty reffing doesn't infect a CH game.

DeleteYak's smack was whack. Let the kid show his joy. CotU jealousy raises it's ugly head, again.
DeleteDiaz(ling) has 5 pts in 3 games, leaf wait-he'll-finally-show-up wonder boy kadri has the same in 4 games. There's hype in hogtown. Write an article about Raphael. No? Fuck off.
Go Rangers.
Why would anyone want to steal THAT?
DeleteIf it's not the laffs, CotU goes above and beyond to quash anything that may put anyone else/other team in a positive light. Remember the bashing for PFK's low-fives with TFS. Surprised they didn't do all in their power to belittle gCHyuk for body slamming the glass. (or I missed it)
DeleteWhat'd I miss?
ReplyDeleteLooks like Philadelphia is interested in PFK.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.philly.com/philly/sports/flyers/Report_Flyers_have_contacted_Montreal_Canadiens_about_PK_Subban.html?ref=twitter.com
Meanwhile the other day I saw a report that they didn't and have no intention of. Also they have negative cap space. Also it would take Giroux + something else for that to ever happen.
DeleteAlso they suck and should maybe actually draft players and grow them properly instead of trading everyone for shiny new things.
Phucktards suuuuck and I'm loving it.
I'd hate to see him in ugly orange.
DeleteI'd hate to see anyone in fug-orange.
Delete24 CH reality show has its premiere at 10:30 p.m. Saturday on RDS with the English premiere slated for 8 p.m. on Feb. 4 on TSN.
ReplyDeleteGionta bros. on Sunday:
ReplyDeleteStephen Gionta has already faced his older brother, Brian, in an NHL game. That happened on Dec. 2, 2010, at the Prudential Center.
Facing Brian and the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre Sunday night will be equally special for the Devils’ center.
“Absolutely. I was able to play against Brian once before my first call-up. I hear Montreal is a pretty good place to play and getting a chance to play against Brian again would be pretty cool,” Gionta told The Star-Ledger today.
“I’ve never played there, but any chance you get to play against a sibling is pretty cool. That competitive nature comes out between brothers. He won the first one, so we’ll see what happens with the second one.”
Go Rangers.
ReplyDeleteMontreal Canadiens winger Max Pacioretty missed Saturday's practice with flu-like symptoms and will be re-evaluated on Sunday prior to their game against New Jersey.
ReplyDeleteMichel Therrien said Lars Eller will return to the line-up. The decision was made Friday, prior to learning about Pacioretty. Therrien said Eller is part of the team and wants a healthy competition.
Tomas Kaberle took a puck in the face and left practice Saturday morning and did not return. He'll be evaluated Sunday as well.
Therrien added that Galchenyuk has been earning a lot of respect from the veteran players and has been a good teammate.
Brian Gionta during his scrum joked that the Habs will have to watch out for number 11 on the Devils Sunday, as he's a really good player. The number 11, of course, is his brother Stephen.
The Habs will not hold a morning skate on Sunday.
The shoes with the sparkly heels are killers. Love. Sick of hearing about PK. He's no Larry fricken' Robinson. Sheesh. Enough already, trade him or sign him. Whatever.

ReplyDeleteThe Rangers looking like rags.
ReplyDeleteC'mon laffs, you can lose a lead.
ReplyDeleteGo Rangers.
Max's "flu like symptoms" translated to "emergency appendicectomy". Out 3 to 4 weeks. Holy crap!
ReplyDeleteHoly Shit!!!!
DeleteThough it *IS* Pacioretty. So maybe out two weeks...

DeleteSo 2 and half men are 3 men for now.
DeleteGet well, Patches we need you too.
we should remove all appendix and spleens as soon as we draft them as a precautionary measure

ReplyDeleteThanks for not disappointing, laffs.

ReplyDeleteNo way to hide it you fucks!
Kipper playing with his fly open all the way. What did he have for dinner?
ReplyDeleteOr....what didn't he finish for dinner?
DeleteLego gets a shot at the top six. Maybe he is not a first or second line center, I guess they can tell cause he has never had a chance at the position. So best of luck lego on wing, show us your Danish dance of joy.
ReplyDeleteYou go, Lego, show them that new you!
DeletePeople show intensity differently. DD has to motor twice as hard 'cause he's tiny while Eller is smooth. But we're talking about the Dane who stared down Chara, tossed the Magical Spearing Midget's stick down the ice for poking him in the nuts, and who had his arm pulled out of its socket only to pop it back in on a faceoff then throw 3 hits. So whatever Therrien is babbling about I don't know. I can say that Eller's "intensity" was way better than DD's in the first game but somehow DD gets a free pass because of last year. Do we not forget the Kovy-Pleky-AK46 line going from awesome one year to suckage the year after?
DeleteAlso he's not a fucking wingerrrrrrrrrrr....
Denis Gauthier is a fucking shit-head.
ReplyDeleteWho the fuck are you anyway?
DeleteDenis "I Got Suspended 3 times in like 1 month" Gauthier.
DeleteSeriously? Habs haven't changed their 2-yr 5 million offer to PK apparently? Well fuck you too. Way to alienate a cornerstone of your franchise. At least fix the numbers? Like 6-6.5 for the 2 years? Insulting.
ReplyDeleteKevin Weekes says other GMs are gobsmacked with how Montreal is dealing with this contract negotiation. TRADE FUCKING KABERLE OR DUMP HIM IN HAMILTON AND GIVE PK THAT. All he wants is to be here forever and they're like "LOL no". Fuck you Habs. We love to celebrate the franchise's history yet appear to be incapable from learning of it's serious flaws and terrible errors...
(And Price wanted a long term deal when they gave him that bridge deal as well so people need to stop with the "But Price and Patches--!" crap. Also they were coming in with supposedly big questions they needed to answer while PK's been doing Markov's job since he came in and then some. Also +9 on a shit team last year. Never mind that method of contracts was from a regime FIRED. TWICE).
Seriously. SHOW ME YOU'RE SERIOUS ABOUT WINNING, HABS. Sign PK already, lock up your core like Bergevin had a front seat to in Chicago. Trade Weber. Trade Kaberle. Even trade DD because you ain't winning the Cup with a little guy like that as your #1C and free up the spot for Galchy. (This isn't the Kelly Cup). Clean up the actually dead weight. Build to get the fucking Cup. I was soured when Chelios got traded and fell completely out of hockey when Roy, Carbo, Courtnall basically EVERYONE was sent out--some for real stupid reasons--and picking Price/PK got me back into it, got me excited about it again, and brought it back to being enjoyable. You're not building a team for the future by pissing off PK and signing Frankie Bou. And the 2-yr deal is stupid because it's more like 1-1/2. YOU GET TO DO THIS ALL OVER AGAIN NEXT SEASON. YAY.
N31, I am awestruck! You have articulated what I could not.
DeleteI never wanted to listen to all the fucking mediot rumors about terms/offers simply because no one really knew the facts.
All the fucking PFK bashing simply based on innuendo by the internet trolls - those who knew how rabid Habs fans are and how unforgiving we can be - forcing even the most die-hard fans to turn their backs.
These trolls are the ones who, in their hearts, are jealous, sick with envy and would die to have him.on their team.
I am not happy with the way DGMB has handled this at all. When he was in Chicago, they didn't have this "bridge contract" mentality. I realize there is a cap, but if they wanted, they could make the room. I think he is just trying, at this point, to justify his hiring to Geoff.
Sorry, 4HFers, but that's how I feel it in a nutshell.
No I'm with you on this. If he fucks this up, it's grounds for firing. Though frankly he won't live through his contract here anyway if this shit hits the fan big time considering how much of a hole it will create on this team's D now and in the future...Not to mention the 20 years of hindsight and disappointment. The media has been kissing his ass since he was hired, and now he's fucking around with PK in a way I don't even think Gauthier would have, and most of them are trying to justify it. Love those double standards eh?
DeleteThere are rational explanations for most things even if the explanation is irrational. On the surface we have a 22 year old stud defense man RFA, and a experienced team of hockey managers. The managers are offering the bear minum without being insulting. The player is asking to be paid like a veteran number one d. Why is management not willing to up their offer? The answer clearly is the player is not seen as a valuable part of the future franchise. When they look at the whole package, the team they are trying to build, they see a body worth 2.5 million a year at this point. Either PFK swallows his pride, and signs or he will be traded. The franchise will go on, but the legend of PFK may not.
DeleteGreat rant, can't say as I disagree. Shit or get off the pot MB. Give this guy (PK) a decent offer. You (the Habs) paid Gomer a lot more to do a lot less, so bite the bullet and give the man $20 mil over 5 years.
ReplyDeleteExpansion is happening so the money collected is so going up. Here's what I never got with this team... Get your guy NOW at long term (like a Carlson deal of 6yrs at 4each) and it'll be a bargain later. Instead they do it twice, cheap now, then end up paying them more later. It's stupid and reeks of zero vision. Shortsighted.
