Hey FHFers, its you FHFriend moeman. I wanted to get this post done by 4:20 but there was a line up at the LCBO and my dealer went home early, to Barbados! Anyways, enough about me for now (more about what will happen in here later), there's Habs hockey tonight.
I just recieved an email from Canadiens Nation, fuck I hate that name, too leafy but I'm a bit hazy so I'll paste (slightly edited) the text from the to the Habs fans message;
"Down to business ~ It’s that time of year FHFers. The leaf on the trees are changing colours, turning yellow, there’s a CHill in the air and pumpkins are beginning to appear on front porCHes around the city. Autumn has arrived and with it – another season of hockey.
At the end of a training camp, lasting just under three fucking boring weeks, the always nicely coifed Jacques Martin's troops are focused and ready to get down to the business of winning hockey games and pissing you off when they panic and lose in the 3rd period. The Habs will have their first CHance to break the ice on their season and collect some guaranteed points when they roll into the CotU Thursday night for their season opener against the hated leaf. No strangers to starting their season on the road, Thursday’s tilt at the ACK! will mark the third time in as many years the Habs kick off their season in Hogtown. Why? We don't have a fucking clue. Maybe its to give leaf fans (who aren't really hockey fans, just leaf fans) some real hockey to watCH. The game will act as a rubber match with the teams having split the wins to date; the Habs tasted victory in 2009, winning 4-3 in overtime, and the Leafs took their revenge in 2010, luckily edging the Habs 3-2, as Vodkov went down.
This year, however, the Canadiens will be heading into the Queen City with an ace up their sleeve. Habs sniper, proud Papa and Toronto native Michael 'Squid' Cammalleri will be present in the Habs lineup after missing the team’s season opener against the truly despised leaf last year due to a $u$pen$ion. Always ready to put on a show for his hometown morgue-like crowd, Cammalleri was the Canadiens' most-utilized forward in the preceding opener, pitCHing in two assists over the course of his 21:40 of ice time.
Not only is the 2011-12 edition of Vos Canadiens an extremely tight squad (yup, we typed that not moeman, betCHa he wishes he did), but the team’s latest incarnation will have a beefed-up (ez iRiRi) offense compared to the end of last season thanks to the addition of hard-hitting Erik Colé and the return of emerging power forward and newly-married (sorry FHFemmes and Steve) Max 'PatCHes' Pacioretty, all patCHed up since being mauled by the tainted Stanley Cup winning Boston Bruins' shaved ape. The Habs can also be thankful to start their season with warrior Courageous Josh Gorges back in the fold.
Count on the Canadiens to work their hardest to spoil the party in laffland, where the overrated leaf have lost all but two of their home openers since 2000, have not made the playoffs in 6 years, haven't made the Stanley Cup Finals, nor won one since 1967 when they got lucky. No word if they are plagiarizing previous Canadiens home opener ceremonies. The game can be seen on cbc/hnic, home of the leaf, as well as on RDS, home of the Nordiques."
So drop the fucking puck already (juce & iRiRi, the official puck drop is at 7:20ish (my mistake)! Enjoy the game and see you in the comments. BTW, 29 tells me he has FedEx'd all the remaining ice cream and that contractually the 200+1 comments prize contest is now officially defunct.
G Y F H G !
