I will cut and paste my 13 hours ahead of you/can't comment at work comment:
Sure, they looked better in the last half of the game. They were also playing a team that was recently dropped from the playoffs instead of Pittsburgh and Washington.
I've come to terms that this team was playing over its head most of the season. This was supposed to be a rebuild year, the playoffs are just cake (ice cream cake). Just please, PLEASE, dear gracious lord, when they get swept out of the postseason please don't let it be to the leaf. PLEASE.
Actually, with the way the broons are playing maybe it'll be BOS MTL first round with the leaf swooping in to claim 2nd. That'd actually be preferable at this point.
Should they rest Price for the playoffs? If every Price apologist, I'm sorry, "Habs fan", is right then it's the defence/offence/forecheck/weather/act of god's fault, so it shouldn't matter who's in net for the next couple of games. Why not rest our franchise player for the money shot?
I mean, I wouldn't want to hurt his feelings. Just like 3 years ago when they only put Halak in at with no other option and he only took us to the Conference finals.
I actually recall some "Habs fans" dissing Halak for winning. Shameful really. They said on the radio yesterday if you're still making excuses for Price your're not to be taken seriously.
Have faith, they will find their inner-Habbiness. Two games left 'til the playoffs. All the top eastern teams tanked last night. It was that magic feeling that the Laffs usually have this time of year. "We are not going to make the playoffs, so let's go out and play good hockey for the last couple of games."
Agree with TFS showing them his 5 hole, he is just playing games to see who peeks. Come playoffs if you wanna get between his legs you had better be super special.
They need to do SOMETHING. The excuses only run so far and let's be honest the fact that TFS is 4-9 in his last 13 starts says sonething's off with him...
First time commenter, long time reader. I want to believe but TFS and the D.... eesh
I read your name the first time as "Joy Division". And then in Steve's reply I saw "Jay" and thought it was "Jay Division", a play on words. The point is your new name is Jay Division, and I like and respect you. Welcome.
I won't be a leaf fan. I won't accept shit like this: http://www.thestar.com/sports/leafs/2013/04/24/maple_leafs_in_the_playoffs_club_undergoing_cultural_revolution_cox.html
And I think there may be a divide between those of us who grew up in leafland and those who only experienced Montreal. I won't accept 'good enough'. Fail and Fix. Don't Fail and Accept. It's a rebuild year, like I said playoffs are the cherry on top of the ice cream cake. But don't just die off.
Word is playoffs start April 30, which is May 1st for me and a new holiday (May Day! May Day! May Day!........Am I the only one who grew up with Buffalo play by play?). Game 2 is May 2, which again is the morning after for me and a field trip for the kiddies. Thus prime viewing time for me. Then a Saturday night game, Sunday morning Church over here. After that I got some sick days....I mean...I feel a cold coming on....*sniffle*.....*cough*....
GO HABS GO!
Question: Does being a Habs fan make you manic-depressive or do manic-depressives flock to the Habs?
OK - From what I saw, TFS wasn't to blame for everything last night - looked better overall but not HOF material by a long shot, then again it was the Devils and a totla of 8 shots in one period by both teams combined with the score 3-2 tells me it was a trapfest. Didn't watch last night as my laptop wasn't available. Will subject myself to Saturday night only because I know they won't lose to the leaf again!
Welcome Jay Div! You've found a new home and you'll love it here.
My Plan B this Saturday is to take Mrs. Maritimer out for her birthday. That's going to be better than watching all the leaf sucking and blowing by mclame and his cronies.
The Habs will get their shit together by mid next week after they take a couple more whippings. I expect to see them bear down and become more desperate once elimination becomes possible.
Betcha he yips that it is now the leaf. CotU mediots' new meme is that the Division and home ice belongs to the leafs' to lose. This is only the beginning of the hype machine. It is going to get worse, a lot.
will I play the three dollar lottery, YES. Am I more stupid than playing the two dollar one, MAYBE. The lottery was an attraction now its a distraction, and I am backtracking.
Seems like no one wants to win the NE. Hans lucky number is 1 to clinCH home ice. Either they scrape up 1 more point or the leaf loses one. Thursday night will clear things up a bit with everyone in action.

ReplyDeleteWe got big problems with our diamond formation on the PK. So move to a ruby formation.
ReplyDeleteWonder if the Fried Man still thinks the beaners are the class of the East? They've lost 5 of 6 as well.
ReplyDeleteI always liked 7 of 9 better than 5 of 6.

ReplyDeleteGo Lightning! C'mon Vinnie and Marty, you're always trying to fuck the Habs over, well time to stick it to the leaf. TSN will just have a fit!
