I have been saving this and but I have the patience of people who shall remain nameless.
Thanks to Moeman, and his erstwhile backup 29 for another great year of Four Habs Fun. Thanks to all the great FHF members who make it special. Thanks to Mr Molson for turning the ship around. Next year we will have a parade. 2014 Habs and if we were smart we would have tanked after that 6 zip leaf disaster and be adding the Druid Dude, he could have been a real DD pure wool hockey player. I have been in the English wildernesse with the mother of all colds and so have only been mostly following comments. Sorry I could not lend my support on game nights recently - with the time difference and my illness it was not possible. So I feel somewhat deflated and that I let everyone down. Clearly there was work to do to get us through the playoffs. The Habs were, for the most part, a far better team than they showed of late. But in DGMB I trust and I look forward to the offseason moves he makes.
Too early to make my suggestions, so I'll drop in and out during the next few days and weeks and have some.
Moeman, thanks for keeping it sexy all year long. 29 you are also to commended for all you do for this, the best Habs blog and the best hockey blog anywhere. And to all my fellow commentators - be good - fuck the trolls, for they know not what a real hockey team is all about and lastly...GO HABS GO! GO HABS GO! GO HABS GO!!GO HABS GO!!
What is relevant what is irrelevant and how much can the brain store let alone process at one time? We are force feed a steady stream of MAN media. Before I reflect on that I would have to place in time a shield for Mortica Richler. Two giants of imagination leaving no physicality imprints on the city. Yeah great minds that we all love had no impact upon what we call democracy. If I wanted to design a perfect city I would ask one of them to contribute, because in the end, we are all about the experience of life. So if we have people who are artists there should be no bill to big to pay, no siphon of the funds to the IRA. Lets build cities as big as our dreamers. And we are building a hockey team on that blueprint.
I have read it twice, and I have to say, wow holy fuck batmann Steve you are out there and in-there, and most likely to end up in containment in Area 51
I see no one thinks I have discovered something. The reason I went to post was reading in the Huffpost two things. First Someone Cyrus was the hottest girl in the world, and the second one I can not remember but it was significant part of my argument.
I have been getting a full frontal assault of opinion. Like Mr Cohen was talking about the sixes and so was the other guy. My reply is that some artist cut off his ear and died in poverty, but his influenced is never ending. Get up rise up and demand we all live as artists, some small, some great, but the future depends upon the small ones reproducing.
I would like to comment more but given Kmaxxx weak state I have to withdraw. Seriously I love you Kmaxxx, never change never stop, I know if I lived in England we would be great friends, or if you moved to a distressed area of Ontario I would help you set the traps for wild animals.
Thinking about things in the ususal suspects in the usual way its like taking a politician last stand against corruption to a place in a mystical land where good politicians are were good politicians are dining upon wedgewood and giving themselves green carbon credits by smashing the much copied artistic pottery against the sidewalk because it was so much easier to give the viet kong the blame you talk about a war that did not need to be fought and a President, ever wonder deep down in where the fourth gear of intellectual has kicked in its not about being dumb it just that what fills your brain can make you kinda, totally numb making an argument for the total reason someone needs to be number one. Is the pay of the asskisser number two so low he can not do number two. Not that there is anything really wrong with that. Only a fully qualified proctologist could give such a simplified opinion ASAP I ride the melting glacial arctic regions because its not a place the human ape could touch but if not for us you would pretty much have to admit that humanity was an ant farm in somekind of advanced civilizations experiment maybe its like their version of sim city and all the rooks and arrows broken bricks and universal sorrow over the little bits of the total resource the place on planet earth that is totally proverbial true a land so perfect democracy was true. Yes Uncle Sam I am looking squarely at you. Ok owning the currency and having a heck of big budget to make your futuristic promises soar until you found out that all that tech to kill men in caves would not work on the FOC network wave It takes a man to die for a situation where die, is a normal expected behave discuss amongst yourself how differently Monday morning would be painstaint, if you added to the headache. someone is probably thinking the same thing, but not about you its me instead. and you know about assault rifles and glock nineteen. I am a shooter I grew up in an dangerous berg. Like if you are dropping off the garbage in the garbage dump, the bears might get so pissed off by the headlights they do the mindmeld meld, and no one can put the birds to shame for perfecting the same server. But drones overhead they got me in a bad way. I was in my underwear sitting before a screen I would later find out was their portal to looking at everything I do using some kind of medieval key to lock the door, what is wrong with humanity is that they look to hard towards survival than to do a lot more. So what way you have to say is that Quebec rocks. In a time when Comcast did not dictate how long the customer would have to absorb the advertisres blast. Unlike an NHL goalie they were not equiped to understand histories past and like the ancient Romans would have slain anyone who did a double trouble, triple flip discount on the events of the recent past. Thats all the moves forward into the future accoording to most forecats.
If you use the past to predict the future you are most likely to miss out on something, this is not a prediction its just an observation from the judge of probability, that's the fate we are talking about, just a jumble of numbers in a yet to be discovered universe.
But really do you care if God is not producing more lights per lumean than the last MIT freshman I mean that with no disrescect we all know that something in our world is suspect and are we part of an organic computer in a mother world where if the same laws applied she would be in prison for child abuse instead of creating a great fucking mystery that kept humans in stupidity. But what would we find if we could diagnose the root of the DNA that is our own brand. Now think about this and please do not dismiss based upon our legends GOD behaves in an expectant pattern, little things he lets off light For Sodom and Gomorrah Well it had to light up the nite And it was not until the twenty century you could find a alternate sex identification person you could trust.
That was a pretty small step for the superstitious and every thinking unit we got, on this dermount is saddled up and talking down to the horse they rode on in, into a community that thought ghosts were only the infrasture of thier ansestors crumbling under ground. Like a history being re written because of the fear that some nugget of wisdom would be so powerful all the citizens they loaded up were only pointing a loaded gun you know the haters you show up at their door and they would rather shoot you than to listen to human splane away why we want to kill each other or dam our economic predictions with some voodoo economics certianhood.

Ah, TSN, trying to get one last jab in the Habs before it's too late:
The Montreal Canadiens' 2012-13 season came to an end Thursday night with a lopsided 6-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators, bringing an end to an up-and-down season. So which team is the Habs true identity? The surprise Northeast-winning collective, or the team that folded under pressure in the first round? As always, it's Your! Call.
Yes, they folded under pressure. They didn't have injuries to 6 of their regulars and their leading scorer playing with a separated shoulder. Nope, but SPEZZA WAS OUT GUYS!! Again, not making excuses for the Habs, they still could have/should have won, but let's put things in context. The Habs lineup in G5 was very different from their lineup most of the season. So quit this "Over-performed" BS. And of course they make it a 'your call' so all the Hab haters have free reign to pile on. I can guarantee you when the leaf goes out next game it'll be nothing but fawning and accolades for their wonderful team.
They didn't win the Cup, or even a playoff series, but with that sort of trun around from last season you can't be anything but a bit happy. The true test will be how MB plugs the obvious holes over the summer to make this into a legit Cup contender.
The Senaturds didn't have their injuries in the playoffs but the regular season, where you can coast boringly to a shootout on a nightly basis. Fuck TSN.
Oh, ok, I just got forwarded an article by this toronto nutjob from the Sun (of course). Not even going to link it, but instead of writing about his 'beloved leafs' some sample column titles: "Canadiens catastrophe makes NHL playoffs worth watching" "Habs winners in whining"
I didn't read this drivel, but even leaf fans in the comments were blasting him. I guess when your guys suck you have nothing to do but attack others.
Finished watching Canada/Belarus I PVR'ed from yesterday, a 4-1 Canada win. Friggin' Claude Giroux was dominating. How in the name of Maurice Richard did the Habs Q scouts ever miss out on this guy? They should have been horse whipped forletting him fall into the Phucktards lap.
Looking for something completely different and 100% Steve approved. It just might be the greatest movie ever made ever. Available now on the internets, try a search for let me watch this.
The Maritimer, I remember watching that draft. Yes, I have no life. Giroux was still available when they took David Fisher. I'm not sure if it was Gainey or Timmins so high on US High School kids. But you know, Giroux had only scored about 100 points that year. Then in the 2nd round, they take Ben Maxwell one spot before the Bruins. I don't follow the WHL, but I think it was TSN (maybe SN) were talking up this other beast of a kid - doesn't score a lot, but physically controls a game (must have been McSplooge). Showed a few hi-lites and I liked what I saw. 2nd round, he's still available. Nope, also from the WHL, Ben Maxwell. You know who the Bruins took. We all now hate him, but would love to have him on our team (that doesn't leave this room). Fucking Lucic. I wonder how Komisuckass's career would have been different if they had been teammates instead?
Bergy's (i can never remember the acronym you guys use for him) biggest little mistake so far is the DDD extension. I hope he can fix that somehow.
Bergy, I'm sure the FHFemmes will agree that size DOES matter. So fix that. And you can't make your team bigger by simply buying a pump or using natural herbs (so I'm told...).
While the DDD extension pisses me off, the Bouillon one pisses me off more. There was no rush for that. Wait and see what typical vet they could have picked up in that slot over the summer first before extending Cube again. (Like, say, a Hal Gill. He doesn't need to skate, just lie down and kill penalties).
This movie is like a Beatles or Bob Dylan song, its a prism that forces you to reflect your own light. I have added what came in on my wavelength, but I suggest you see the movie before reading.
I am referring to my post about Upstream Colors above. There is a worm trying to wrest control of our society away from the people, could you guess who he is?
Okay I am going to take some heat for this but its what I believe.
I would like to see the leaf beat the Broons. Two reasons, I hate the Broons more than the leaf, and the leaf like it or not are Canadian, and a Broon defeat at the heart of Comcast would give many assholes new ones.
In the west I Cheer the Ducks, another dumping ground for the wasted years. I would love to see a Ducks, Sens final, because I picked Karlson before I realized it was going to be a Sens Habs face off.
I could live with the leaf playing one more round. If only to torture their pathetic, ignorant fans a little longer. No, fuck that. Let the B's win, nobody will care.
Re: Claude Giroux - I remember Bob Clarke forgot his name. Who the fuck are we drafting again?
Steve -- before you start supporting the leaf, take yourself on one of thoise trips you love to take and imagine a world where you have to listen to leaf fans talking about winning something (other than tha annual Sept//Oct. Parade days etc). Just the thought makes me sick in my mouth. Enduring the fact that their series went 6 v. Habs out in 5 is bad enough. The leaf is not of Canada - it is born of the devil. A team from the west will win the cup so no matter - cheer the broons - NEVER cheer for the leaf! EVER!! Am I making myself clear here - NEVER!!
You both need to watch Upstream Color, your minds are poisoned by the Merican machine. Yes the Toronto media is waterboarding the rest of Canada with their leaf tears. But in the real world I will always support a Canadian team, even if its GM Coach and Star players are Merican over USA USA USA.
At the moment how can anyone hate the leaf as much as the Broon? Shaved Ape, Pretzel Logic, Ratface, I can not even come up with a name for Fernace. Sure the leaf have the Jackal, and goon city on the bench, so I suggest you rewind then fast forward, picking a team with a shaved ape on it shows some serious regression, if I might be so bold as to suggest you both thought Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind was brilliant. I never attempted to review it, I realized five minutes in I would be endlessly cleaning the vomit off my keyboard.
Nope - this is nothing to do with USA vs. Canada - this is about cheering the leaf - that is something I can never and will never do. Don't care if Al Queda forms a team - I would want them to kick leaf ass. I must not preach here so let me say this - this represents only my feelings on the issue. Sorry! And I am as proud a ex-pat Canadian as you will find anywhere in the world - I just cannot ever bring myself to support the leaf.
I should not have to say it but in these times words have more meaning than anticipated. I totally enjoy our repartee and could only wish for more of it. Your great cyber mates, and I in a bromance way love you both. And should I switch teams (NTTAWWT) you would be amongst the first people I would call.
Did I just coin a phrase, probably not, but cybermates is a term I have not heard or seen before. And if I have not seen or heard it, who has?
KmaXXX your opinion is totally respected by many if not the majority of Canadians. I grew up in leafland. Everyone I knew from the time I knew what hockey was were unequivocal supporters of the leaf. I took down the picture of me at age five wearing a Canadians jersey. How in the world could a five year old make that choice? Disappointing his Dad for sure, and believe me leading to some ostracism, but really nothing serious. Still its one of the mysteries of my life, is how I picked Montreal as my team in 1963 against all conventional wisdom. In the 1960's people really took professional hockey with a grain of salt. Heck half the league was owned by the same guy. I loved Eddie Shack, he was my childhood Lego. I have to admit I have some deep ingrained leaf love that no TSN, CBC, CTV Bell Media sandpaper is going to wear away.
I realize this is wrong on so many levels. I have been wrong on so many levels, so this is just another stupid pig headed choice (note the Upstream Color ref) that defines me.
Steve - don't sweat it. It all makes sense to me now - I always thought your brain had been manipulated in some way - turns out you were brainwashed as a child - ...a lot of your stuff makes more sense to me now!
Looks like Buttman's moved on to saving his 'home' franchise. Rangers 5 PP's to 0 today. Whatever. I don't really care who wins or loses anymore. When do the Mooseheads get to win the Memorial Cup? Any Habs joining the Worlds?
I don't want to be 'that guy', but until you live in Ontario you have no idea how disgusting everything leaf is. Their fans are not hockey fans, they are leaf fans. At the job I had when I still worked there long ago (so the leaf still made the playoffs here and there), we'd have a playoff pool. Almost every single leaf fan only picked leaf players. Not just the informed, even the 50 year old "DIE HARD HOCKEY FANS". Once the leaf was inevitably bounced form the post season, the leaders tables would no be updated anymore. At the end, you'd have to come to your own calculations to see if you won.
And the national media feeds into this. There have been more stories about the Habs on TSN since they lost than there were all post-season. It's all about how they 'failed'. This right after an article about how the leaf is the envy of the league, and look Gretzky said some off hand comment on them which means they're the greatest team since the '85 Oilers!
First imagine how that is for a young hockey fan, especially before the internet. Of course those kids grew up knowing nothing about hockey, only about the leaf. Now imagine how it was as a Habs fan growing up around people with that mentality. It's not even that they hate the Habs, they honestly just don't know anything that doesn't have to do with the leaf.
It's just a game, but I hate the leaf. broons come and go, and their Cup is tainted, but their just a collection of assholes. The leaf is an Asshole institution. Doesn't matter the names on the jerseys, the names on the columns, the names in the owners box. It's a terrible hockey culture. And I would like nothing more than to watch their fans suffer greatly when they lose. It would have been nice to have a quick kill, but a game 7 blowout (or better yet, OT loss!) would allow me to feast on even more of their tears.
+1 O-Man - I was forced to live in Toronto after growing up in Quebec. As I made new friends I was told "you'll support the leaf now won't you?" - "No I bloody won't!" was always my reply. As you have said - the culture, the sheer ignorance and the maddeningly short sightedness of leaf fans drove me crazy. It will never change and GOD ALMIGHTY - Please don't have them win another game!
I've watched about 2 minutes in total of that series. My boss, a B's fan just walked by and said those fuckers (his Bruins) don't deserve to win. But he's got the $200 riding on them from the draft day bets, so he's clinging onto hope. The leaf fans in the building, meanwhile, have flags flying and fake stanley cups popping out of their cubicles...fuck me sideways!
O-man pretty much nailed it. I've said it many times before, the worst thing that can happen is the leaf winning something of value. You are seeing the mediot pack mentality play itself out. Sick fucks,
The thing is, both the leaf and the broons are playing terrible hockey. Either one is going to get bounced in 4-5 next round no matter who the opponent (Rangers or Caps). Hand it to Reimer, he's proving himself this playoffs. Otherwise it would have been an embarrassing 4 game exit for the buds.
Now we just wait for the "Kerry Fraser" moment. Because, as you know, if Gretzky would have been called for that high stick, the leaf would have won in OT, and that also caused them to lose G7. Oh, and they would have swept the Habs in the finals because....GO LEAFS GO! That's why.
As much as the media likes to harp on the Habs, the broons are having a much more spectacular collapse. Boston had the worst last 12 games of the regular season than any other playoff team, and the Sens are much better than the leaf (barely behind them in the standings, got their two best players back for the playoffs, superior coach). Plus they're not dealing any real injuries. I don't know what's going on there, and as much as I would normally love seeing this, I still think they'll pull through tomorrow. Then the Rangers/Caps can embarrass them in 4.
Of course the Canadian media will still be too busy shaking their heads at the 'over-rated' Habs to notice their "class of the East" failed to gain anything of note this season.
I'm glad you came to your senses Steve. After a "go b.... go" earlier this season, and admitting you might cheer for the l.... for the rest of the series, I was getting worried that you might get another lawsuit on your hand, this time from fhf...
Of course all the commentators at TSN say he'll bring the whole dressing room down. It makes me embarrassed to be a hockey fan. No other sport is this racist. And let's be honest, it's racism pure and simple. "I have no respect for this guy!" "He doesn't know his place!" "Cocky guy, wouldn't want him on my team!" Congrats guys, you're a barely a step above the hooligans in Europe that cause forfeits for racial abuse.
The NBA has an out gay player. NHL fans can't even handle a black guy. And TSN has no problem publishing these types of comments.
So BurgerVan is up for GM of the year. That's something. Strike 3 probably. Last time I checked, HELL was still on fire, so PK's not winning the Norris. Kid G might have an outside shot at the Calder. He can thank his parents for not being 'of colour'. Imagine the hate he'd endure if he was non-white! Shero might take the GM award just for his deadline day deals.
that being said i made the trip to MTL for what proved to be the last game... watched it at a big sports bar on st catherine... if i could parlez francais enough to make a living that would be my home no doubt.
I tried to out the PK haters on TSN as racists without using the 'r' word. Not a chance in hell it gets posted.
Well, at least there's a reason to check out some WC hockey now. WE all know what PK can do for a team. That's what matters. WJC Gold - check WHC Gold - check in a couple of weeks Olympic Gold - check in about 9 months Stanley Cup - check in about 13 months
I also tried to write a short note again, just something like "I wonder why all you guys hate PK so much without ever meeting him. There must be something different about him..." Yeah, not posted either. But they'll post that other shit.
really terrible. it's like they don't know people can understand what veiled racism is. that being said.. one of the best moments of my game 5 watching at a pub mtl trip is when PK scored his goal and everyone at the bar chanted PK!!PK!! for a couple minutes straight. Lowlight was when weird raver looking girl sens fan did a strange dance every time the sense scored.
Greetings in the name of the ever loving, everpowerfull Jah, Pastafarian Positive. Ever lasting ever tasty. Did not hear mon, what DGMB had to say, only read he is trying to stay away from the devil that in the end most GM can not slay. So he speak of TFS in a very positive way. I would go on with that easily. Talk of PFK goes slightly negative for such a man. However I expect he wants to tamp down by a few million the building plan. No DDD questions or answers but he did say KaKa is not Finish, no he be Chek. Other answers all lead one to believe, this guy will have every day for a least five years to cash a Exchequer. Hey TFS mon you can not venture out, I think this is pretty wild but you may need some time on the couch. Other than that we should all not suffer and say. Looks like a big wind could blow a Stanley Cup our way.
As we move forward into the future I walk through the shadow of doubt, but I fear no big missteps because we have professionals manning our redoubts. To succeed in pro sports is like picking horses for the Kentucky derby that have sex, drugs and every other privilege you can imagine. We are on the bubble floating upward, enjoy.
So Cherry says toronto is classier because they didn't riot last game like Vancouver did. Well, comparing G6 of the first round to G7 of the Finals is par for the course fot the toronto mediots.
Not that I condone the rioting. But this is what I was talking about with the Toronto media up there. They honestly believe a non elimination game in the first round is the same as the final game for the Cup because it involves the leaf.
We will never hear the end of this. The leaf could lose each game next round 10-0 and they'll still have a parade. It's times like this I'm glad I'm not in Canada.
I turned the game on at 4-1 with 14 to play. I said to my girls (who aren't really hockey fans, but still anti-leaf...not sure where that came from), it's not over. Bruins are going to win. We watched and fucking cheered for the Bruins. Swear to god, first time in my life. Had to switch tv's in OT due to some household logistics, by the time I got the 2nd one on, they were shaking hands. I turned CBC back on about 5 minutes later and I only heard crickets chirping and a tumbleweed blew across the screen....now GO RANGERS! Fuck, even that feels dirty. I can't believe how happy I am to see that fucking team lose.
As much as I am mentally masturbating to the leaf collapse, the broon fans rubbing it in need to get some perspective. "Worst collapse ever!"
Really? You can say that as a Boston "Squander a 3-0 series lead" Bruins fan? As a follower of the Boston "Squander a 3-0 lead in the 7th game of that series" Bruins?
Let's all agree you're both terrible organizations that have had any success you've attained in the last decade handed to you on a silver platter and the fawning of the braindead media.
Let's all agree you're both terrible organizations that have had any success you've attained in the last decade handed to you on a silver platter and the fawning of the braindead media.
Things I've learned about "hockey" from TSN/CBC over the last few years.
1) The Habs losing to a (much better with Greg's daddy at the NHL helm) Bruins team in 2011 in G7 OT means they were outmuscled, outclassed, and embarrassed. The leaf doing the same to a (much weaker and on decline) Bruins team in 2013 means they should hold their heads up high, they proved a lot.
2) The Habs going out in the first round after an incredible comeback season: Embarrassment. The leaf doing the same (with a much smaller comeback of a season)? UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE
3) Kessel has proven everyone wrong, which he'll explain on the golf course next week.
4) Habs have a lot of rebuilding to do. leaf is favourite for Cup next year.
If I wasn't licking my computer screen in glee at their collapse, I'd almost feel anger.
So I wake up this morning to the glorious news that the CBC/TSN/Sportsnet darlings the mighty leaf blew a 4-1 lead and fucking choked. McLame must have been choking on his bile last night. LMFAO!!!!!!
Now I understand how the wife feels after sex.

Ah, TSN, trying to get one last jab in the Habs before it's too late:
ReplyDeleteThe Montreal Canadiens' 2012-13 season came to an end Thursday night with a lopsided 6-1 loss to the Ottawa Senators, bringing an end to an up-and-down season.
Thanks moe and his elf helper 29.
GO HABS GO!
The Senaturds didn't have their injuries in the playoffs but the regular season, where you can coast boringly to a shootout on a nightly basis. Fuck TSN.
DeleteOh, ok, I just got forwarded an article by this toronto nutjob from the Sun (of course). Not even going to link it, but instead of writing about his 'beloved leafs' some sample column titles:
ReplyDelete"Canadiens catastrophe makes NHL playoffs worth watching"
"Habs winners in whining"
I didn't read this drivel, but even leaf fans in the comments were blasting him. I guess when your guys suck you have nothing to do but attack others.
GO BROONS GO! (ugh, I feel dirty)
I deleted the Sun from my bookmarks. Never again. Assholes.
DeleteWow MLB holding its officials accountable for constant mistakes, even fining them!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.tsn.ca/mlb/story/?id=422887
I would say as a hockey fan I have no idea what this is like, except we all know there are no 'mistakes' in the NHL.
We get a "Sorry we were wrong. You got screwed. Too bad so sad."
DeleteWe don't even get that. The LEAGUE is never wrong. Eurasia was always our friend. We were always at war with Oceania.
DeleteOBEY
Finished watching Canada/Belarus I PVR'ed from yesterday, a 4-1 Canada win. Friggin' Claude Giroux was dominating. How in the name of Maurice Richard did the Habs Q scouts ever miss out on this guy? They should have been horse whipped forletting him fall into the Phucktards lap.
ReplyDeleteLooking for something completely different and 100% Steve approved. It just might be the greatest movie ever made ever. Available now on the internets, try a search for let me watch this.
ReplyDeleteThe Maritimer, I remember watching that draft.
ReplyDeleteBergy's (i can never remember the acronym you guys use for him) biggest little mistake so far is the DDD extension. I hope he can fix that somehow.
ReplyDeleteBergy, I'm sure the FHFemmes will agree that size DOES matter. So fix that. And you can't make your team bigger by simply buying a pump or using natural herbs (so I'm told...).
Bergy = DGMB
Deletepracticing your shot helps, a hard accurate shot can overcome many size issues.
DeleteWhile the DDD extension pisses me off, the Bouillon one pisses me off more. There was no rush for that. Wait and see what typical vet they could have picked up in that slot over the summer first before extending Cube again. (Like, say, a Hal Gill. He doesn't need to skate, just lie down and kill penalties).
DeleteThis movie is like a Beatles or Bob Dylan song, its a prism that forces you to reflect your own light. I have added what came in on my wavelength, but I suggest you see the movie before reading.
ReplyDeleteI am referring to my post about Upstream Colors above. There is a worm trying to wrest control of our society away from the people, could you guess who he is?
DeleteOkay I am going to take some heat for this but its what I believe.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see the leaf beat the Broons.
DeleteRe: Claude Giroux - I remember Bob Clarke forgot his name.
DeleteYou both need to watch Upstream Color, your minds are poisoned by the Merican machine. Yes the Toronto media is waterboarding the rest of Canada with their leaf tears. But in the real world I will always support a Canadian team, even if its GM Coach and Star players are Merican over USA USA USA.
DeleteAt the moment how can anyone hate the leaf as much as the Broon? Shaved Ape, Pretzel Logic, Ratface, I can not even come up with a name for Fernace. Sure the leaf have the Jackal, and goon city on the bench, so I suggest you rewind then fast forward, picking a team with a shaved ape on it shows some serious regression, if I might be so bold as to suggest you both thought Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind was brilliant. I never attempted to review it, I realized five minutes in I would be endlessly cleaning the vomit off my keyboard.
DeleteNope - this is nothing to do with USA vs.
DeleteI should not have to say it but in these times words have more meaning than anticipated. I totally enjoy our repartee and could only wish for more of it. Your great cyber mates, and I in a bromance way love you both. And should I switch teams (NTTAWWT) you would be amongst the first people I would call.
DeleteDid I just coin a phrase, probably not, but cybermates is a term I have not heard or seen before.
DeleteI loved Eddie Shack, he was my childhood Lego.
DeleteBig love right back atcha!
I can't take any more CBC slobbering... KILL THEM NOW YOU STUPID FUCKEN BRUINS and then kindly fuck off. They're playing like shit anyway.
DeleteLooks like Buttman's moved on to saving his 'home' franchise. Rangers 5 PP's to 0 today. Whatever. I don't really care who wins or loses anymore. When do the Mooseheads get to win the Memorial Cup? Any Habs joining the Worlds?
ReplyDeleteThe Memorial Cup can't start fast enough...
DeletePleky, Galchy, and Diaz are off to the Worlds. Canada snubbed Subban for Dan Fucking Hamhuis.
ReplyDeleteAnd the national media feeds into this.
And I'm going to leave those multiple grammar and spelling errors there (or should I say 'their') to illustrate my contempt even more.
Delete+1 O-Man - I was forced to live in Toronto after growing up in Quebec.
DeleteI've watched about 2 minutes in total of that series.
ReplyDeleteO-man pretty much nailed it. I've said it many times before, the worst thing that can happen is the leaf winning something of value. You are seeing the mediot pack mentality play itself out. Sick fucks,
ReplyDeleteThe thing is, both the leaf and the broons are playing terrible hockey. Either one is going to get bounced in 4-5 next round no matter who the opponent (Rangers or Caps). Hand it to Reimer, he's proving himself this playoffs. Otherwise it would have been an embarrassing 4 game exit for the buds.
ReplyDeleteNow we just wait for the "Kerry Fraser" moment.
ReplyDeleteOf course the Canadian media will still be too busy shaking their heads at the 'over-rated' Habs to notice their "class of the East" failed to gain anything of note this season.
Until both the leaf and the Broons are out of the playoffs I will not be watching any NHL.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you came to your senses Steve. After a "go b.... go" earlier this season, and admitting you might cheer for the l.... for the rest of the series, I was getting worried that you might get another lawsuit on your hand, this time from fhf...
DeleteLooks like PK is headed to Sweden for the World Champs after all.
ReplyDeleteOf course all the commentators at TSN say he'll bring the whole dressing room down.
DeleteThe NBA has an out gay player. NHL fans can't even handle a black guy. And TSN has no problem publishing these types of comments.
Those comments on the TSN site are sickening
Deletetsn comments are truly disgusting, a true reflection of the people that work/run their web presence. Sick fucks.
DeleteAbout fucking time he was called. TSN comments are crap anyway. Fuck 'em. Junior Team Canada hasn't won gold since PK graduated.
DeleteSo BurgerVan is up for GM of the year. That's something.
ReplyDeleteStrike 3 probably.
Not one Hab nominated will win.
DeleteToronto based mediots will see to it. They hate all things Hab.
In DGMB's case I think its the other GMs that vote.
DeleteGood luck to all Habs nominees.
I was in Toronto all weekend. You people have no idea how painful that was
ReplyDeleteHow many showers wash that shit off?
DeleteI actually live in Toronto.. I love Toronto... until anything hockey related. Then fuck Toronto!
Deletethat being said i made the trip to MTL for what proved to be the last game... watched it at a big sports bar on st catherine... if i could parlez francais enough to make a living that would be my home no doubt.
DeleteI tried to out the PK haters on TSN as racists without using the 'r' word. Not a chance in hell it gets posted.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least there's a reason to check out some WC hockey now. WE all know what PK can do for a team. That's what matters.
WJC Gold - check
WHC Gold - check in a couple of weeks
Olympic Gold - check in about 9 months
Stanley Cup - check in about 13 months
Would that shut up the haters? Not a chance.
They don't like the tronna boys that do well elsewhere.
DeleteI also tried to write a short note again, just something like "I wonder why all you guys hate PK so much without ever meeting him. There must be something different about him..." Yeah, not posted either. But they'll post that other shit.
Deletereally terrible. it's like they don't know people can understand what veiled racism is. that being said.. one of the best moments of my game 5 watching at a pub mtl trip is when PK scored his goal and everyone at the bar chanted PK!!PK!! for a couple minutes straight. Lowlight was when weird raver looking girl sens fan did a strange dance every time the sense scored.

ReplyDeleteDid not hear mon, what DGMB had to say, only read he is trying to stay away from the devil that in the end most GM can not slay.
In my hockey pool the Bruins and the Rangers lose and I win.
ReplyDeletenot that I picked a leaf on the humanity that I should be so suspect.
DeleteAs we move forward into the future I walk through the shadow of doubt, but I fear no big missteps because we have professionals manning our redoubts. To succeed in pro sports is like picking horses for the Kentucky derby that have sex, drugs and every other privilege you can imagine. We are on the bubble floating upward, enjoy.
ReplyDeleteR.I.P. Dr. Joyce Brothers.
ReplyDeleteI be watching GOT
ReplyDeleteSo Cherry says toronto is classier because they didn't riot last game like Vancouver did. Well, comparing G6 of the first round to G7 of the Finals is par for the course fot the toronto mediots.
ReplyDeleteNot that I condone the rioting. But this is what I was talking about with the Toronto media up there. They honestly believe a non elimination game in the first round is the same as the final game for the Cup because it involves the leaf.
Noooo! Bruins are useless. Fuck the leaf they're going down quicker than the Titanic in the next round.
ReplyDeleteMy lord, boston is just like a guy I used to know in college. Could never close a deal.
ReplyDeleteWe will never hear the end of this. The leaf could lose each game next round 10-0 and they'll still have a parade. It's times like this I'm glad I'm not in Canada.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHA! So typical Leaf. Also SWEET DELICIOUS HNiC TEARS!
ReplyDeletei turned it off at 4-2, i was sick. i am FUCKING OVERJOYED NOW. WITH LAUGHTER
ReplyDeletekill me, im rooting for the Bs
Me too . How wrong s that? Just goes to shw you how disgusting cand totally unacceptable HNIT has become. Can we sue for pain -and suffering.
Deleteso happy die leaf die HNIC
ReplyDeleteheh heh eat shit and die you fucking leaf and leaf lovers.
ReplyDeleteSILENCE CBC SILENCE!
ReplyDeleteExcuses started: learning experience!
ReplyDeleteChoke on that cockroaches, you sick fucks. The rest of Canada rejoices!
ReplyDeleteI wanna see a crowd shot. Come on fuckers.
ReplyDeleteEither everyone just shrugged and walked off or they're trashing another taxi cab.
DeleteBWAHAHA.
ReplyDelete*goes back into mourning*
Zero post game from the cockroaches. Fucking pukes can't show their faces.
ReplyDeleteI honestly could not have wished for a better ending. This...this makes me so happy. Now to get drunk off the tears of the leaf.
ReplyDeleteNo matter, really. The Rangers will dispose of the broons pretty quickly next round.
ReplyDeleteCBC describes it as 'heartbreaking'. Huh, when the Habs were put out it was champagne and party hats. Canada's network my ass.
ReplyDeleteBWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.
ReplyDeleteNow eat shit cockroach broadcasting cockroachers and tronna spulling nimwit.
ReplyDeleteLove the TSN highlights. "NO CALL" "NO CALL" "NO CALL" yeah, yeah, yeah, leaf lovers.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I am mentally masturbating to the leaf collapse, the broon fans rubbing it in need to get some perspective. "Worst collapse ever!"
ReplyDeleteReally? You can say that as a Boston "Squander a 3-0 series lead" Bruins fan? As a follower of the Boston "Squander a 3-0 lead in the 7th game of that series" Bruins?
Let's all agree you're both terrible organizations that have had any success you've attained in the last decade handed to you on a silver platter and the fawning of the braindead media.
The hate begins!
Let's all agree you're both terrible organizations that have had any success you've attained in the last decade handed to you on a silver platter and the fawning of the braindead media.
ReplyDeleteHERE HERE!!!
Things I've learned about "hockey" from TSN/CBC over the last few years.
ReplyDelete1) The Habs losing to a (much better with Greg's daddy at the NHL helm) Bruins team in 2011 in G7 OT means they were outmuscled, outclassed, and embarrassed.
GO CANADA GO! GO PK GO!
So I wake up this morning to the glorious news that the CBC/TSN/Sportsnet darlings the mighty leaf blew a 4-1 lead and fucking choked. McLame must have been choking on his bile last night. LMFAO!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis weird anon person must be a lost leaf fan.
I put up a TMS for you early risers or people in the East. Maritimer and o'man repeat your comments, they will fit right in
