SPF that skin FHFers.
Happy FA Day! I'll be on the road in my A/C-less van with the whole damn fam & the dog in the freakin' 35 degree heat after lunch. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteRe Briere: I thought IF MB had to sign Briere due to his birthplace, a one year, $3M per deal would be OK. 2 years at $4M per is tough to swallow, but I'll play the waiting game (I have no choice) to see how he pans out. But as The M and newkid so eloquently posted in the last thread, SIZE matters. The Blackhawks proved you don't need a team of giants, but there's a certain level of skill factor that needs to be taken into account too. We ain't the Blackhawks.
If DDD goes bye-bye in return for this signing, that helps.
You've outdone yourself again moeman. Another awesome SF. I likes me some ScarJo.
Safe travels on this Sexy Friday The S.
DeletePliers go Vinnie and dump Dany Boy ... right direction? 6 4 - 5 10 = 6 inches. Habs acquire another 5' 10" (maybe) castoff .... direction? Right wrong?
ReplyDeleteAll this talk about size and we get another smurf.
Doesn't Dany Boy get concussed every second game?
Didn't he spit on the Habs previously?
I'm getting confused.
I have no words.

So I guess Briere plugs a hole that Ryder left? I guess there wasn't much choice then. I'm not throwing MB under the bus. He says you build through the draft so we have no choice but to be patient. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteI have, for the most part, kept my peace on this - although I am firmly on the "we need to get bigger" in the "size matters for the Habs" argument. Briere is an interesting acquisition, but given his age and injury history I'm seeing him as a bit part player unless DDD is history. I gotta hope that something else is in the works - something with some size!
ReplyDeleteBut never mind that - summer has hit the UK - nice and fuckin' hot all weekend long! So forget about hockey for the weekend boys and girls - enjoy the tennis and the sunshine - The Rolling Stones are in Hyde Park, the beer is in the beer fridge next to the pool - I'm sorted mutherfuckers!
Excellent SF Moeman! Go Habs Go!!
Have fun in Motor City Alfie.
ReplyDeleteIf you want loyalty get a dog
DeleteCant anybody here play this game
ReplyDeleteMichael McCarron: I expected McCarron to struggle this morning in drills that largely focused on skating, but he didn't. His agility is surprisingly good, not just for a big man, and his reaction time was quick. In the speed drills he was slower than most of his group for the first two rushes, but by the third one he was finishing in the top 2 every time, and won his last two rushes. His long, powerful stride really took over when other players started to get winded. From a puck skills perspective, he wasn't on the level of Collberg, Hudon, or Leblanc, but he wasn't bad by any stretch. He slowed down with three pucks in the stickhandling drill, but he never lost control. His shooting and passing was also up there at the top of his group, just below Leblanc, he even showed off a few dirty dangles. All in all I came away pretty impressed, you can see what Timmins and Bergevin saw, and if he does pan out he's an absolute home run with that frame.
Khaleesi!!!!!!! Free me, Khaleesi!!
ReplyDeleteQuality SF as always moe!
And we could have had the little fuckity fuck for 5.4 or four years, and DGMB just sat on his hands. Is everyone in hockey on oxy or what?
ReplyDeleteUnless something changes, the Habs are gonna get run over in the upcoming season. A lot. Even CHarger won't be able to stop it.
ReplyDeleteIf this is the team going forward Bergevin will be building through the draft. No doubt in my mind.
Leafs are going to choke on that Clarkson contract.
DeleteMaybe down the road, but for now he makes them a lot tougher than Bergevin's mites team.
DeleteOH FUCK, this one hurts
ReplyDeletehttp://www.thestar.com/sports/hockey/2013/07/05/ottawa_senators_bobby_ryan_traded_to_sens_daniel_alfredsson_signs_with_detroit.html
We get a super porn stash face puncher and only give up a
ReplyDelete(Philippe Lefebvre + 7th)half a bag of pucks.
The Habs won't win too many games but they'll win some fights. 29 will love that porn 'stache.
DeleteI'm pretty sure 29 is into girls. NTTIAWWT!
DeleteIf I recall correctly in that picture 29 flaunts of gCHuk's sister, he sports a porn 'stache. He and Gorge can be bro's.
DeleteGeorge.
DeleteSo we nickname him StaCHe?
DeleteYes StaCHe or do we need the a stCHe
DeleteWeber a Canuck.
ReplyDeleteI wish him the best, and I think he fell between the cracks in Montreal.
DeleteJust keep in mind I have gone dark
ReplyDeleteNot since BGL have we had a dedicated face puncher. Why did Dale Talon give him away to us? Maybe Florida thinks they are not in face punching range of the Cup and we are.
ReplyDeleteSo we are back to a face punching league, a reality based situation of the movies GOON and Slapshot. Oh the fucking NASCAR reality. Soon we will demand the wives of our hockey players never have an abortion.
DeleteMore Mac;
ReplyDeletehttp://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-hockey/spec-rel/070513aac.html
So, I wonder if Bergevin even inquired about Iggy? Nah, too tall.
ReplyDeletethe M., did you see what CHiaPet paid for Iggs? I'd pay Guy Lafleur that much to lace em' up.
Deletemoe, I might have done the same thing for one year. I'm too drunk right now to do my analysis, maybe tomorrow. Drinking Innis and Gunn, a Scottish beer. Good kick to it.
DeleteOK, so Mssr. Bergevin said he doesn't like to indulge in UFAs, fair enough. So, why bother with Briere? To replace Ryder/Cole, fair enough again. When I look at what Toronto, Ottawa and Boston did, I see they got better so that means Bergevin knows he will be a bottom feeder team and will build through the draft like he said. That is what I expect and I will take him at his word.
ReplyDeleteI expect the Canadiens to play their youth and take their lumps. So, next spring goodbye Gio and Vodkov, hello Collberg and Beaulieu.
unless and never discount this, someone is blackmailing Mr Molson. You read about it in the history books but you never think it could happen today,
DeleteMy FHF friends, do not be parionad like me. My opinion is meaningless. But I have to wonder why it was part of a well known lawsuit? The conservative party is sewing anyone within a blast radius of I do not like you. Enjoy your lives until there are no more bees, and pollination stops, and Peter Mckay comes on and tells you the F 35 can do a hundred thousand flowers a day. Remember dont hate me because I am beautiful, well do not ignore me because I am insane. That is the crux of the enigma. Aside from the whole world going in a direction I would argue against, there is no case for me going to a padded cell. I also will not fly in non commercial aircraft, or a commercial aircraft that could be shot down with impunity, like the Iranian one during the first Gulf War, ooops. I never drive over 36kph. I check my airbags regularly. I do not wander in fields with knives, nope, never carry one. The sharpest object in my backpack is my mind.
ReplyDeleteWhat does this have to do with hockey? Well there are thirty teams in the NHL and half them make my mind a fount of intelligence.
I just vent, I have no good reason to complain, yet I do. I am a poor sheeple.
DeleteI am still dark man
DeleteI share an iP adress with three people, any one of them could have posted this or could have downloaded that. Even 29 could not convince a judge or jury beyond a reasonable doubt it was me. Unless they used patterns and syntax against me, and that is why I have gone dark. No tell tale fonts or figures of speech to incarcerate.
DeleteThe signing of the StaCHe indicates Hockey in on Defcon 3. Its war, two stages from all out MMA. Oh the Humanity. We have been there before with the Philties Fucktards of the seventies. But that was not an institutional love fest like buttman brings to NASCAR on ice. The NHL loves this shit. The problem being in the old WWF and the currnet MMA its all show, no blow. So now inbetween the skating and scoring we will need some fighting.
ReplyDeleteI love that we have the StaChe but how to effectivly deploy him remains an artform. Pretzel will not fight the staCHe, its like picking the least corrupt Mayor in Quebec for prosecution. Okay I am rambling, but still making points
Breaking News, I have reached an agreement with CISIS , Vic and the whole apparatus. First I promised I would do everything I could to make Grabo play in the KHL. Second, I would pretend to look for babysitters even though my children are full grown. Third, I will campaign for people to pour there used engine oil into the drain, after all they paid for it, and oil makes water flow better.
ReplyDeleteI am still dark, and I have checked just saying that fools them
ReplyDeleteThe staCHe rules. Its like in the old days when the principal could give you the strap, it kept you in order. Strap staCHe rules.
ReplyDeleteIt's Enforcer Week for Bergevin. We just signed Nasty Tarnasky for the Bulldogs.
ReplyDeleteI heckled him last year when the Dogs faced the Amerks at the Bell Centre. He's a better player than Stortini tho.
Good to see Bergevin signing a bunch of AHL veterans and a prospect to help out his farm team in Hamilton. You never know when an Andrew Shaw might show up. I hope he gives Stephen MacCauley a shot, two time Memorial Cup winner, I know Gallant will recommend him.
ReplyDeleteIt does not appear to be going well for MacAulay, too bad a class act and a great kid. Stephane Fournier is a nice contract however and it sounds like Ben Duffy showed some stuff.
Deletestill dark, and maybe a big anno on monday
ReplyDeletejust put dark in the subject and it fools the fools
DeleteStill Dark, noting here CSIS
ReplyDeleteI think I am being recurring. Look for me on St Chattiness in a red Ferrari, There really is something going on, and if you read my comments wonder if it was the real steve.
I don't understand the Briere signing. At all. Another over the hill smurf.
ReplyDeleteBoston, Toronto, Ottawa and new addition to the division Detroit all improved in the last few days while Montreal just got smaller.
Meh.
I don't like Briere. When he became a free agent in 2007 the Canadiens and their ambassador Jean Beliveau begged him to come to Montreal. He refused and I haven't forgiven him and won't cheer for him now.
DeleteYeah, it looks like Montreal is in tough for the upcoming season. It looks like Toronto got grittier and upgraded their goaltending. Boston will still be very good. We know how good (or dirty) Ottawa is and Bobby Ryan should replace Alfie. Speaking of Alfie the Hab-killer he's joining a very strong Detroit squad joining the Northeast. The Canadiens main competition will Captain Kirk's Canes, Barfalo and the Florida teams.
As is, the Habs lineup doesn't impress me, mostly perimeter playing ladies who, even if they try to get to the net can't, because the opposition's defence are a bunch of bigger stronger models that just push them away or put them on their asses. George Parros isn't going to score 30 goals, he'll just keep the Orr's and McLaren's honest, which is OK.
Which brings me to the defence. PK, great skater can get the puck out of his own end with ease. Vodkov, playing on one leg. Gorges, takes a licking but keeps on ticking. Diaz, Cherry would call him a sweetheart.
Cube, they just step over him. Tinordi, I have high hopes for, needs to play lots to learn the NHL game. Drewiski, who?
Finally, I hope Stephane Waite is some kind of miracle worker.
There are rumours abounding that Bergevin is working on some trades with Philthy and St. Louis, so all may not be lost yet.
Beer Pee will be good on the PP, shootouts, and may help mentor some of our smurfs
DeleteMentor them how?
Delete"See those big fuckers over there by the goalie?"
"Don't go over there."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=sP8ZVWiZUMA
ReplyDeleteHT to EOTP
once again we hunt the hunter, but once again will fail to bring enough cash
ReplyDeleteI agree with theM.The Habs are a perimeter team.We MIGHT stand a chance if Parros can park himself in front of the opposing net during the pp.If memory serves,Larrocque could not or would not.Is Parros an upgrade on Georges?I fear for our beloved Habs.I always wish them well but...
ReplyDeleteParros is not playing on the PP.
DeleteI'm strongly (though maybe more willing to forgive if he miraculously does some good) on side with the M on Briere. And that's why - since we didn't re-sign CHeese, Danny could take the CHeese moniker, with a twist. Briere (pronounced Brie air) or CHeesefart. If he proves himself, he can have the BeerPee name later.
ReplyDeleteAll hail CHeesefart!
And I think it must be "The StaCHe!"
So Jagr still wants to play with the Habs. I say why the hell not! My guess is that MB will make him a lowball offer to see just HOW much he wants that.
No thanks to Jagr. Bergevin has kept a $5mil cap space opening for a reason. I hope he is looking to make a deal for either a true power forward or a top 2 defenceman. I keep hearing phucktard Coburn's name or Chris Stewart from St. Louis.
DeleteFailing that, hey give Lebrow a shot, sounds like he's on a mission from development camp. It's all about building through the draft, so give him a chance.
Coburn is a waste of space. They play Pateryn they get the same thing for cheap...
DeleteJagr should fuck off and hand out roses already. "It's not about the money." BULLSHIT. It's all about the money. Otherwise he would have been here years ago.
I guess I feel that way about Jagr too really. But IF it wasn't about the money and he agreed to play for a cool million, I wouldn't be upset. But yeah, LeBrow does seem like he's making great strides, so give him a shot instead.
DeleteWherever Jagrmeister ends up Bergevin should trade Pleky to them as well. He should offer to include a year's supply of turtlenecks as part of the deal.
ReplyDeleteOK I'm in agreement with the M, brie-air will have to do something spectack to win me over. He stuck his fucking nose up in the air at us to go to The Pliers. Other than the beaners I can't think of a worse place/team. And as far as The Jaiegermiester goes, we didn't want him even when he had a mullet He is old and tired and is just milking the system. He should go away.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs.
It was 60 years ago today, and the truth is still out there.
ReplyDeleteIn your universe
ReplyDeleteindeed. what. Fat Steve's watching.
ReplyDeleteI have been reading about development camp. Its really the first time so I have nothing to compare it with. For example did everyone say PFK was xxx. But I know something about statistics, they can lie better to you than any math you know.
ReplyDeleteHowever between the lies, the heartbreak and those willing to sacrifice everything for the goal, we might get one more PFK out of camp.
CHarger: http://www.nhlpa.com/news/a-generous-knight-in-london
ReplyDeleteDid not play safe!
ReplyDelete24. Toronto Maple Leafs
ReplyDeleteThe Leafs have a deep organization, but they lack strong prospects at the top. Morgan Rielly is the cornerstone for this organization, and players like Joe Colborne, Matt Finn, Stuart Percy, Josh Leivo, and Frederik Gauthier, among others, are good organizational prospects. Aside from Rielly, however, it is hard to argue that any of these names are significant pieces.
Congrats CHelly.
ReplyDeletesame here
DeleteWell that's some good news on the development front. McCarron playing for the Keniggits instead of university.
ReplyDeleteis it hockey time yet?

Wonder who will not be invited, a rare chance to see inside the dressing room
Good to know. You make $6.5m per year, but you still need to get a set of bowls as a wedding gift.
DeletePeople are people, money dont matter, his wife will still be wondering why some people cheaped out, even though it was a thousand dollar gift.
DeleteYou're talking about the guy who celebrated signing his contract with the Habs by buying a bottle of water.
DeleteNot only have I gone dark, I am on holidays, so fuck you skip trancer.
ReplyDeletemonetize this, is that not what our whole civilization has become. We are all MAD MEN, we all want to gather enough web clicks to get payed. This is such a stupid illusion headed for such a great Dead Buffalo gulch. So what I am going to do is provide real value to the web. Driving with Steve, watch for it.
ReplyDeletenot kidding windows just wiped out the whole project, all the crooked cops are now asking Steve B to protect the right to privacy. I will have to start from scratch, now how hard could it be to find a new group of dirty cops?
DeleteI drive a 2006 Honda Civic, and it keeps me alive.

other tips for those named Kennedy, do not fly in small planes, or just tips in general for those who are not willing to tell us what we want to know.
DeleteDriving with Steve was going to be all about how much you should pay a cop for whatever you do not want recorded. For example Mike Duffy, $ 90,000 was not enough, if he had gone to $100,000 he would still be the most favoured pig at the trough. So I was going to run some rides and see what they needed to pass. And I was going to talk to the potholes and let then tell me the past therapies that failed, and my edge exposing to the public, things that actually work. I will start with the 1000 mpg carburetor patented in 59, that patent was bought by big oil, and how that downward trajectory hit Lake Magntic like a nuclear bome.
DeleteWake up Zombies, you are a Zombie, I am a Zombie, can I say it any more clearly
ReplyDeletegoing dark is so liberating
DeleteYou will soon see it on CNN, I have given Edward Snowden sanctuary in Universe 5.
DeleteIt like when 29 marries Ana, I will give him a lifetime subscription to ThinkingAboot. She will say WTF, and he will say, well its not as worthless as it seems.
Deleteso you say this is a hockey blog, not wikileaks, not Edward Snowdens face book page. The kicker is I was going to reveal how much it cost to buy the NHL.
DeleteI am glad Steve went dark, it's like Silent Running.
ReplyDeleteWow, Tuuka coined it big, what was that lockout about again? Oh yeah, 25 year contracts. Essentially it was the owners trying to outwit the player agents.
The big news in Habland is the signing of Digger Dumont and BlanCHe is taking them to arbitration. Good luck Whitey.
I really haven't warmed to Therrien yet.
Glad to see former Sea Dog Stephen MacAuley sign a contract with the Bulldogs. Superfan Number31 will like this kid, there's no quit in him.
That's all I got for now.
Holy Fuck Batmann I never thought of silent running. I am totally invisible now, unless Saturn's rings give me away.
DeleteHabs sign XXL forward McCarron who will go and learn every dirty trick in the book from the Hunters. Hulk Smash!!
ReplyDeletethe kid might be able to play some hockey, lets give him a chance to learn to skate.
DeleteIf you thought for one second that the world you live in was a world you could depend upon, wake up grow up and move up.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2013/07/11/ilya-kovalchuk-retires_n_3581746.html
This guy made a choice not to live in Merica. I applaud him and hope many follow. Mericia is great, but merica is destroying this planet.
Deletethe fat fingered fatheads will say that NJ destroyed the franchise picking the retiree. But the truth is the NHL destroyed hockey when the successful teams have to pay for gangereen.
ReplyDeleteLife is a bullshit ride down a slippery slope. You can pick the track but even if you finish you still will have some stink. If you do not think we are on the cusp of a outpouring come revolution in Canada, take a look at the retirement savings of people in the quartile fifty. Unless we get responsible goverment what is happingin in Eypt will look like childs play, only because we have a better cell network.
ReplyDeletethere was a time when living a life was a good thing. Now that's failure, am I the only one who sees that?
DeleteI could have been Donald Trump, but I have all my own hair and the squirrel would not sit sit still for the photo.
