There is no trade for Montreal and the Nail, Way to risky and Oilers would want at least SuperPlexxx a draft pick and a top prospect. But I can always hope
Spent the weekend in leaf land. Leaf blowers were smug but easily startled. Good to see that confusion between planning the parade and getting prepared to jump off the bus .... it was interesting. Cheese Man on the 4th. Maybe we could trade him, Slather owes us one ... We'll take Tavaris and a first rounder. Go Habs
Was hoping to attend the game tonight, but my cheap boss won't give up any tickets! May be just as well... the last 2 times I've seen them live, we lost 4-0 both times...
I think the old bat (me).can manage the whole game tonight with an 8:00 start. Want to see more of that all world goalie that bore an uncanny resemblance to Carey Price.
Habs don't really need to make a trade at the moment. Fried-Man reported Saturday night Bergevin was looking around for a D but decided that TinTin and N8 would fill the bill for now. I think the only thing the team has to do is divest themselves of DDD, whether to the press box or to the Swiss elite league. Simple addition by subtraction. I'd put Briere between RBQ and CHarger and reinstate BlanCHe on the 4th line which was outstanding in Vancouver.
Is DDD Therrien's love child or something? Anyway, if Davey keeps playing the way he has he will be gone soon regardless of what the francophone quota is.
Oh, and they don't need the Yak, another too small winger. There's lots of them in the system already.
Somewhat interesting discussion about Bobby Orr suggesting that racist scumbag don cherry find his way to the HHoF. cherry has no place in the HHoF but then again the sick as fuck national organ known as cbchnic has provided that xenophobic bigot a platform to cater to the yahoos (mostly his friends in leafland).
I thought I was all turkey/mashed potato/gravy/mac&cheese/stringbean-ed out and then I decided to reheat the leftovers for dinner. Talk about a food coma.
Happy late Thanksgiving! I'm thankful that I am again able to watch the game today. Hope the kids have fun on their field trip. Where ever the hell they are.
Caught a bit of 24CH and the Lac Mégantic day with the Habs. Very emotional, heartfelt and worthy of all there, players, coaches, execs and most importantly the locals. The bit of good it did is priceless.
The mere mention of Lac Megantic gives me the heebie jeebies, but that's another story for another time. God love them, what a tragedy, they deserved a little ray of happiness.
Just popping in to say hi everyone! I'm late to the party, but Price looks good again. He may get back in my good books again...ehhh, maybe by Christmas. Go Habs Go!!!
@Orangey....they will blow up soon, usually by Remembrance Day.
Should Don Cherry be in the hall of fame? He can be a total asshole, his connections with the government of Mr Steve Harper repel me. His reflex anti skill rants are counterproductive. However, he represents a curated view of hockey from the sixties. I do not think Cherry was anything but genuine. Now he is a seventy year old performer. But he represents hockeys past.In an institution that has Bass Master and Dino flash, he must be included.
The family is starting to waver on the no cable issue at the Saint household after 4 months. I gotta admit the streaming ain't cutting it for hockey or football. Just can't get the quality and after living with HD for the past 5 years, it's really tough. Anything else we want to watch, we can download, but Mrs Saint and the missy saints are missing their diy's and food channels. And damnit the Walking Dead Sundays at 10 was daughter 2 and my thing to do together. It's hard. Bell is giving away PS4's on Saturday if we sign up. I'm getting the hard sell from all corners. Not looking like I'll be able to hold out much longer.
Who won the Jaro trade? As Ho Chi Min said when asked about the impact of the French Revolution "to soon to tell" It is clear that the goat deserves some props, and the trend is a big win for Habs.
GYFHG
ReplyDeleteThere is a blockbuster deal in the works. To Montreal the Nail and a first, to the oil, Biere, DDD, Diaz, Dr Drew, LeBrow, and a bag of pucks.
That's too funny Steve. All the Habs crap for the Nail and a first? C'mon man, you can do better than that.
DeleteThere is no trade for Montreal and the Nail, Way to risky and Oilers would want at least SuperPlexxx a draft pick and a top prospect. But I can always hope
DeleteWhat's the NHL record for the highest-paid 4th line player? Do we win now?
ReplyDeleteI thought we already won that with Gomez
DeleteYa...but...to make way for this astute move, MT2 has to drop Blanche...Don't know...

ReplyDeleteI am old enough to remember when all Habs games started at 8 PM Eastern. So I should be able to stay awake for this. Maybe.
ReplyDeleteGYFHG. 4-2 after an early season West Coast trip would be just fine, thankyouverymuch
Ugh, Red Sox won. Fucking beards
ReplyDeleteI thought I was all turkey/mashed potato/gravy/mac&cheese/stringbean-ed out and then I decided to reheat the leftovers for dinner. Talk about a food coma.

DeleteShanaban was 72 games short of the proper suspension for kaleta.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any hate for the Jets and respect their fans quite a bit. Still, 6-0 would be nice.
ReplyDeleteShit, Tim Peel. Well, the PK will get some work.
ReplyDeleteCHarger!

ReplyDeleteto early to predict a shutout?
ReplyDeleteSHUT UP!
DeleteFuck the staged fights already.
ReplyDeleteDDD with his first point of the season. See, those 46 minutes/game were totally worth it.
ReplyDeleteGive me a break. An OT, then a 'sudden' fight? Think it's about time for coach's to get in shit for that.
ReplyDeletePatches just lost a ball
ReplyDeleteDr Rechii says back for the second
DeleteShit.
ReplyDeleteNoooooooo not PatCHes.
ReplyDeleteDidn't look good.
DeleteWhat should the boys do on the PP?
ReplyDeleteAccording to TSN, PK forced his body into Kane, forcing Kane to wrap his arms around him. Sure. Sure.
ReplyDeleteOrangeman what stream are you on, I am on RDS and it sucks
Deletehttp://atdhe.xxx/hockey/watch-winnipeg-jets-montreal-canadiens-473gd
DeleteOh yes way better
DeleteNice even up call. Asshats.
ReplyDeleteBe fair O-man. Legit trip.
DeleteBe fair? NEVER!
DeleteTFS, last year those all went in
ReplyDeleteDid you see PFK hugging bière on his goal. Lifted him up like a toddler.
ReplyDeleteAnother onion peel.
ReplyDeleteLove those calls. Completely contradictory. Just like the league.
ReplyDeleteAll the good DDD did tonite was wiped out that last crazy stupid shift
ReplyDeleteSo Peeleaffan is warning Carey? What's he supposed to do, allow himself to get run over? Then he'd just get a diving penalty.

DeleteApparently the leaf are being outshot 24-4, but winning 3-1. When will the stats catch up to that AHL team?
ReplyDelete*evil cackle*. January, as usual.
DeleteJust popping in to say hi everyone! I'm late to the party, but Price looks good again. He may get back in my good books again...ehhh, maybe by Christmas. Go Habs Go!!!

Maritimer.....out.
DDD passing is better but to the wrong team
ReplyDeleteWhat does peel have against the black man?
ReplyDeleteTim Peel doesn't care about black people.
ReplyDeleteHis PVR is all Katrina
DeleteFirst PP smurf attack fails
ReplyDeleteVodkov is on fire
ReplyDeleteNice move DDD. Too bad you have no finish.
ReplyDeleteTFS
ReplyDeleteThe PeePee looks like PooPoo.
ReplyDeleteGlad TFS showed up this period, because no one else has.
ReplyDeleteHang on boys, these Peg boys are good
ReplyDeleteIs this the same team that played the 1st?
ReplyDeleteI have a bad feeling. This looks like one of those "Didn't play 60 minutes" games.
ReplyDeleteHANG ON B0YS
ReplyDeleteFuck you Danny Lite Beer
ReplyDeleteIm sorry Vampire Dan
DeletePP saves Briere's ass
ReplyDelete4 million for an open net!
ReplyDeletebeer!
ReplyDeleteHey, even Briere got one. An empty netter, but...whatever.
ReplyDeleteCarey!!!!
ReplyDeleteTFS! Shut out! Never had a doubt...till next game.
ReplyDeleteTFS is the franchise saviour
ReplyDeleteWinnipeg has a fucking good team. And that Trouba may be the best d if not player out of a stacked draft.
ReplyDeleteDecent win. Price was fucking stellar and then some.
ReplyDeleteFour good wins vs 2 really shitty 1 goal losses. Take it.
Enjoy Hump Day FHFers.
Leaf outshot 37-14, win 4-1. srsly?
ReplyDeleteSmoke and mirrors. Won't last. It'll make their descent even sweeter.
DeleteNice effort by the Habs last night - A shutttie for TFS! WooHoo!!
DeleteHave the wretched fucking leaf even played on the road yet? Other than their flukey win in Montreal? Their day will come soon when they get pummeled.
ReplyDeletehttp://news.moviefone.ca/2013/10/15/trailer-park-boys-3-release-date/
ReplyDeleteIf TFS can keep this up, and really how hard can that be, plan the parade.

ReplyDeleteThe leaf won in a submissive position last night, and so did we,
ReplyDeleteI hate self censorship and if I feel it you will find it on your toothbrush in the coming years,
ReplyDeleteThe big question now is.....will the blogger known as Steve be able to afford cable TV to watch his beloved Habs?
ReplyDeleteharper's (he's a leaf fan) sitting on the throne speech says yes.
DeleteIf I can get TSN for three bucks a month sign me up
