Love how Marilyn pops up on SFs.
She's in another pic. Find her? Also, I recall reading some Dryden about how Espo always hogged the crease line for garbage goals. Even as a Ranger.
Yes, in 2 others.
MOEMAN!! A great SF on what is turing out to be the hottest day of the year (in the UK at least!) 33 degrees and stinking in London my friends! But my Thames side office is air conditioned and the beautiful people of London are out in force today. ..So FOR FUCK SAKE - Why is it taking so fucking long to get PFK and Lego signed? I fucking hate opening the sports pages online and seeing nothing about the Habs signing these guys. GET ON WITH IT FOR FUCK SAKE!
Love the English ladies.
Especially Hayley Atwell.
Any chance of getting a Wet Wednesday next week?
I'll check my cachet of wet pics. Stay tuned.
I've seen those giant jars of Nutella at Costco. Now I want one even more.

Enjoying the summer. Been a little foggy at times, but some nice warm days as well. Arthur was a drag but other than that... bueno.

R.I.P. James Garner
R.I.P.Maverick was one of my favourite shows when I was a kid.
RIP JimmyI am with you on that one M.
R.I.P. - He was always James Rockford first for me - discovered Maverick and all the other westerns he did later on - but his Gold Firebird was the nuts back in the day...not sure why I remember this (and I did not have to google it!) but my favourite episode was "The Birds, The Bees and TT Flowers" - absolute classic!
Turns out...when I google it the title is "The Trees, The Bees and TT Flowers"...close enough! Still classic 70's television
@Kmaxx I just discovered yesterday there were six two hour movies made during the 90's that I have never seen. Its like discovering a new season of Star Trek.
Steve, they are not vintage Rockford but they are not bad. His pal/nemesis Angel makes a couple appearances if I remember correctly. I think Rocky might have passed on to that great 'ole fishin' hole in the sky too but overall it is still Rockford being Rockford...and he still has the Firebird! So well worth the watch.

did we sign pfk yet?carry on
No sense rushing this shit...it's not as if anyone knew his contract was up for renewal or that he has won the Norris or that he was a clear leader...DGMB - JUST FUCKING GET IT DONE FOR CHRIST SAKE!
I can't understand what the holdup is - of course they want him long-term, of course he proved over and over he's elite, of course he carried the team on his back during the playoffs vs the Bruins (btw his is the first Canadiens defenceman to record a six-game playoff point streak since Larry Robinson in 1985) rising up to show CHaracter in the face of adversity other players don't face, of course he is worth the money, of course he is the face of the franCHise along with TFS. SO WHAT THE FUCK IS THE PROBLEM??Maybe, they're waiting to see what Lego gets?
Habs sign first round pick Scherbak to an entry level deal. Bergevin says it's up to the kid if he makes the team or not out of training camp. Right. As if knucklehead MT would ever give the kid a fair shake. Ask PK or gCHuk how much ice time they got for being too talented. Scherbak will have to go through dimwit's behavioral modification program first which includes various press box studies and embarrassing benchings at key moments.PK's agent is probably negotiating lessening those benchings even as I type this.
The M - I gotta agree with you - no one wants to be a downer in July but before we all get orgasmic over the coming season let's all remember one thing here - the coach has not changed. The Habs will not win the Cup with the coach they have now - he is not good enough. Sorry guys but I am not prepared to give him the doiubt and waste the first 30 games before DGMB realises something has to done. But that's just me - and I wager it is a reason why Lego and PFK aren't already locked in
Hear, hear! here, here? to both of you.
amen brothers and sisters!
can I take a contradictory position. On the surface coach seems like a world class asshole. I am all too familiar with that topography. Fact is he has delivered not bad. Sometimes you get what you need. DBMB can not be the greatest thing since sliced bread if he signs a loser up for a longer term. Sometimes I think aboot how I do not know everything aboot all there is. But it passes quickly.
Not trying to be a downer, I can't bring myself to give Therrien any credit for the extended run last season. He just rubs me the wrong way. I wouldn't be surprised to see Montreal take a step back, MB even acknowledged as much. Still, other than Boston, I don't see anybody running away with the Eastern conference. Injuries and slumps will determine most team's fates.
Minnesota Wild winger Thomas Vanek was in a federal courthouse today, and in a statement he says he's somehow involved in a federal case against three men charged with running a sports betting ring out of their upstate New York bar.http://deadspin.com/report-thomas-vanek-involved-in-federal-gambling-inves-1608603370oh man this makes me laugh
allegedly you are insinuating he bet against the Habs. Thus his failure to thrust. Wow that was a crazy preface no one could believe. Stupid me, wow I am out of it, high of chemicals live and diesel fumes to even alleged something like that. I apologize to anyone who would be dumb enough to give it a second thought.
He must have made a fortune betting against the leaf.
Rick Tocchet part deux?Is JG involved?
Sad to hear Blanch hasn't been picked up as yet.Negotiations with His Flashyness are progressing slowly. Gives me food for thought. Lego and PFK make an attractive package that would pretty much get DGMB anybody out there. Throw in The Boodie and I'm smelling something major.Go Habs
Scherbak signing his contract.https://twitter.com/CanadiensMTL
The wretched leaf hire a new assistant GM and the mediots are all over it like maggots on a rotting carcass. Front page stuff at all the usual CotU sites. Big fucking deal.
Saw that, come stats guy. Since they can't get players to sign there I guess the only thing left is the 'players' in the office.
*some* stats guy
The stupidity that seeps from the CotU media sewer simply stinks and I predict that it will reek even more now that the stooges at sportsnet are in control. Too funny to see all the hogtown mediots fall all over themselves to suck off some no-name boy genius moneyballer and snowball the blue and white splooge.
new guy says something about the princesss does not compute
PAP and Roy did not have a great relationship, sorry it's in French.http://www.journaldemontreal.com/2014/07/19/ca-na-jamais-leve-avec-patrick
It's OK, Google Translator cleared it up for me:"I do not know why it did not work, but my relationship with Patrick has never lifted. I wish it were otherwise. It seems that when I was injured Feasts, everything tumbled thereafter. "
Whaaa, WhaaaLucic isn’t about to show a lot of contrition for threatening Markov and Emelin during a ritual where hard feelings that have built up throughout the series are supposed to be put aside, but two months after the fact, he realizes he could have been a tad more diplomatic given the circumstances.“I’m not going to apologize for how I acted or what was said,” Lucic said. “But at the end of the day, thinking about it now, maybe I definitely could have handled the situation better than I did. But more than saying what I said to the players, I was upset with losing. I was upset with losing to them. We had such a great team that had won the Presidents’ Trophy and that being the end and losing the way that we did, I think it all just accumulated to me losing my cool in the handshake.”Lucic will have an opportunity to renew acquaintances with Markov and Emelin and the rest of the Canadiens early in the season, since the Bruins visit the Bell Centre Oct. 16. But as far as this summer is concerned, he doesn’t have to look far to see one of the main reasons for the Bruins defeat. For years now, Lucic has trained in the summer with Ian Gallagher, who just happens to be the father of Canadiens winger Brendan Gallagher.http://www.thehockeynews.com/blog/milan-lucic-on-pins-and-needles-preparing-for-2014-15/
Lego may go to arbitration! Yikes!
I think each side has to submit their offers/asking prices to the Arbitrator 48hrs prior to the hearing, last ditCH effort to come to an agreement. We'll here soon.
The problem with both Lego and PFK is that the fucking tool behind the bench would prefer them both to play anywhere but in Montreal. As much as everyone else hails them as great or bedrocks of the future or whatever, that stupid cock has a four year contract and can't stand anyone who shows even an ounce of originality to their game...so when DGMB says to him - "Hey coach, I'm going to give Subban 6 Years for 42 Mil and Eller 20 mill over 5" that mutherfucker says something like..."for me - they are still young and we need to teach them the game - the MontreaL Canadiens way of playing hockey so I think that is too much - you should only give them 2-3 year contracts because you never know if they are the real thing oir not..." or some fucking bullshit like that - I AM JUST FUCKING SO SICK OF ALL THE BULLSHIT. SIGN THEM BOTH AND GET ON WITH IT FOR FUCK SAKE! (sorry the heat is getting to me...)
Craig Morgan @cmorganfoxaz · 42mHearing Lars Eller requested $3.1M and Montreal offered $1.650M.
Wow, he currently earns 1.5M, a 150K increase? I guess that will go to arbitration.
I'd love a 10% raise. Get me damn close to 60K. Sigh.
I got a hefty 2% raise in April!! Woot! Woot! It's all relative I suppose!
@KmaXXX, you pretty much nailed the thinking and attitude of brainiac MT. "You know why I smoke on the bus? Because I can." You know why I bench PK and play Eller on the 3rd line and the wing where he is most uncomfortable? Because I can."Hopefully, eMpTy will get the Torterella treatment even though Torts had a 5 year deal. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

Rags and Kreider avoid arbitration, look to improve next season by taking out more goal tenders.
Looks like he got a nice raise for taking out Price.
Is it to much thinking aboot to equate the leaf with Hamas?
I don't know why I should be surprised, but Stamkos will play for the leaf in 2016.
Hack article 'written' by leaf mediot steve whynno, sick fuck who replaced the sportsnet leaf stooge chris johnson at CP. Not surprised every single CotU mediot outlet daisy-chained him.
I thought they were still trying to get John Tavares with the first overall pick?Actually, the leaf has a better chance at getting Connor McDavid.

A tad pricey but a good deal.
TSN.ca headline 2 hours ago: "Habs and Eller far apart on contract". Good work mediots.I agree with moe, a bit pricey but I'm happy. now LET HIM PLAY, MT
I guess DGMB was looking at the cost in year 3+4, higher dollar for longer term. Agree with HF29 LET HIM PLAY, MT.
I am pretty happy today. This is some kind of CH justice for sure. DDD is a hard guy to measure because they dont make measuring devices that small. But seriously its a good move for Lego and the Team. Neuter Lego or DDD are going to carry this team to the cup, But both are ironware. I wonder who did not want the long term?Lego is a player who can take over the game when he has his game on. Like l artiste he needs to be in the mood. What we have seen from him in the playoffs is that he can take a blindside hit in stride and be a powerhouse when the grind gets grunt. Its a good deal for both sides. Lego can play for the bigger contract and the CH has not bought a pig in a poke.
Now, SIGN PERNEL FUCKING KARL.
Ok - I am happy too - sounds like the numbers add up - good on Lego - now on to PFK - get 'er done goddammit!
