Happy Festivis the second biggest day for we Pastafarians. The first of course is Talk Like a Pirate Day. Gnarly day. I am happy for Jaro. So many years after the trade I wonder who got beat? Any ideas the wrong guy was traded is in retrospect crazy crazy crazy crazy talk. Did we get enough back in what is essentaily LEGO? I am not going to complain but we might have got more side slices than the bags of pucks.
DDD, Charger and Pappy works. DDD Lego and Pappy sucks. You do the math one of our centers is a donut. We should trade DDD to teh Preds for the rights to big TiTS. Big TiTs, Lego and Charger would be the first line anywhere there where Poles.
A second round pick for Jagar no more. What he can teach the utes in a few months alone is worth it. 3M has raised our faceoff percentage metric melowfusily. Jagar will make gCHuck a certified double OO.
Btw they are thinking at Sony of making the next James Boind a black man. I say no fucking way unless Mandela is portrayed by a white man. Whats next a winner of the Iditarod propelled by the dogs in Paris Hiltons Handbag?
Damn! If only Jaro was available to give us a summary of his feelings. I miss the Jaro posts.
This frightens me because the Habs have a tendancy to make backups look like Vezina winners. Hopefully they make him look like a Vienna weiner instead...
- pjstuck ; I'd like to shove that pole up your diapered ass!
- cox, fried and heely ; You have cox the chicken, heely the hen, and the fried rooster. The chicken goes with the hen... So who is having sex with the rooster?
- insidredger ; Just remember, it's not a lie if you believe him.
- cherry ; You know he always pretends he was a NHL player.
- mclame ; I lie every second of the day. My whole life is a sham.
- haharudey ; I have a bad feeling that whenever a lesbian looks at bandanaboy they think "That's why I'm not a heterosexual."
- Hi, my name is Pfuck, I'm employed and I still live with my parents.
- lnet ; Just remember, when you control the game, you control... dissemination.
- tsn web page geeks ; Get out!
- kesseltracker operator ; Let's watch them slice this fat bastard up.
- bob cold ; You look like an old catcher’s mitt.
~ ~ ~
Bonus opposite grievances ;
- Strombo ; The hinc pre-game is the biggest scam perpetrated on the Canadian public since One Hour Jacques Martinizing.
CHantal Macabée ; Looking at CHantal is like looking at the sun. You don't stare at it. It's too risky. Ya get a sense of it and then you look away.
You forgot to mention all the pundits on rds and Tva who all spend their lives perpetually erect over a 5 foot 4th liner who gets almost 20 minutes a game...
It's already the 24th over here so I am officially FESTIVE.
And here I sit at work while almost everyone I know is either at home with loved ones or somewhere warm with loved ones you rent by the hour. But that's ok, I got a 1.5L jug of rum from Costco for $18. That's all the love I need for the holidays.
This is on Therrien - for fucknsake - 12 minutes in and not a shot...wake the fuckmup DGMB - this fucking useless twat is killing all your hard work...sorry it's not very seasonal but I have been wrapping presents for 3 fucking hours and now this!,,
It is sort of crazy. MB has to make moves just to MT-proof the line up. MT takes cakeS out for 7 games, so MB has to get rid of RBQ so he's forced to play him. I mean, he had to dump RBQ anyway, but it's just frustrating to watch.
Anyone got some rotten tomatoes I can fling at the TV? Need to entertain myself somehow. Ugh. Have they ever won the last game before the Christmas break? Me thinks not.
Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!
I'm considering going home at lunch to fill up my coffee thermos with, ahem, Christmas spirit. The kids are gone, I'm just sitting here doing nothing (actually I do have a couple of classes this afternoon). It might also be suspicious because I don't drink coffee. BUT I'M SO THIRSTY!
Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!
If this is a preview of the Eastern Conference semi-finals (I know, I know, knock wood, etc) that should be very entertaining. Can you imagine a Price vs. Halak playoff series?
My friend here is a big Ilander fan and I just texted him, "Your boys looked good, but they still have work to do if they want to compete against elite teams like the Habs"
He was honest in saying that the Islanders are a different team without Halak in nets. I poked him all morning about how it's nice that the stands in Long Island are all full again now that the team is winning. Real dedicated fans over there...
That PP at the end kind of screwed them. If it was just 4on4, there would have been a shot at an empty netter. I realize that's rare for the Habs, but not as rare as a road PPG. Now their PP stats will just suffer more. Can your PP% be negative?
Habs win another game in spite of their coach...it's gonna be a long winter boys and girls! But a win is a win. And it's Christmas...so merry Christmas Moeman! And Merry Christmas to all of the FHFERS around the world! Go Habs go!
I shall have to watch the rest of the game at NHL Center Ice replay.DDD proves the can not keep the little guy down. Congrats to him for keep on keeping on regardless.
Steve, I haven't seen Edge of Tomorrow. I think I was on vacation when it came out or something, because that's a movie I would love to see on the big screen. Guardians of the Galaxy was a given since I love superheroes, I love superhero teams, I love Parks and Rec and then also a raccoon and a big talking tree voiced by Vin Deisel!
I would out Interstellar in my top 3 only because it was an awesome movie going experience (I snuck in two burritos and 3 beers and had a whole row, in front and behind, to myself).
Forgot to add Godzilla. I don't care what the critics say, that roar knocked my popcorn off my lap and created a puddle at my feet (from my spilled pop...that's what my story is and I'm sticking to it). Again, a great movie going experience.
Honorable mention to X-Men Days of Future Past. Love X-men.
Happy Christmas Eve! My dad would have been 95 today. I'll raise a glass in his honour 'after work'. Well, not the prettiest. TGFC. Thank god for Carey. For the record, I never once doubted that the correct goalie was traded in 2010. Nothing against Jaro, but, well you know...
The fucking report hacks can't help themselves. Reading the story of the game on SN (an AP article) it quotes "The Islanders (23-11) are tied in points with the Atlantic Division co-leading Canadiens (22-11-2)."
Actually, the Habs have a game in hand over the Bolts. As Archie Bunker would say and to put it in legal terms, ipso fatso they are leading the division! Fucking dumbasses.
Anyway, Merry Christmas. Nice long break for the boys. I hope they've all asked Santa for the ability to score in the first period.
But I got to Skype with just about everyone I know, which is nice. As I talked about with my sister with her youngsters jumping all over the place in the background, this is just normal to them. My lord, when I was in school 13 years ago I remember fussing about which long distance provider would offer the cheapest (i.e. $1/min) rates from Montreal to Ontario! Now I'm video conferencing with people all over the world on my little phone for free! I don't remember time traveling, but here we are!
It doesn't feel like Christmas here much, because usually I'm either back home or in Thailand, but goddammit I've got my 12 inch tree and I've been listening to John Lennon Imagine/Happy Christmas on a loop for hours. Plus $18 jug of rum from Costco. Tomorrow, if I get up in time I'll meet some folks for a hike up a nearby mountain.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! Thank all of you for putting up with me all year and holding back your questions of how I'm a teacher yet also watch Habs games simultaneously. And comment here. It's a skill. I hope you have an amazing holiday time with you and yours and you get that Tickle Me Elmo/Cabbage Patch Doll under the tree.
I have a grievance to air. That top Festivus pole and dancer are not in my house.
ReplyDeletePrint it, have it enlarged and framed and show Mrs. Pad your feats of strength when you mount it, on a wall.

DeleteCommas are powerful little devils.

ReplyDeleteThat PP at the end kind of screwed them. If it was just 4on4, there would have been a shot at an empty netter. I realize that's rare for the Habs, but not as rare as a road PPG. Now their PP stats will just suffer more. Can your PP% be negative?
ReplyDeleteAnother game the leaf are getting badly outplayed and outshot, yet they're winning. Stars have an EN with 4:33 left. Go Stars!
