I see SN celebrating "Top 6 Irish ties to the National Hockey League" with a picture of the greatest Irishman of all time to play the game, Mats O'Sundin on their main page. WTF is wrong with those stupid pricks.
And we're going out for dinner - Italian I suspect but I'll be sure to raise a Guinness or two to us all. God knows we need a bit of luck to rub off on us tonight. Slainte!!
My daughter was in Dublin last year and went to the Guiness factory. "Students" were trained the proper way to serve Guiness from the tap and 'graduates' received certificates on perfecting the art. Got a beautiful pic of her holding up a pint of Guiness.
Hamburgler gets free McDonald's for life at 5 locations in Ottawa. Kessel has demanded a trade after hearing fans were tossing burgers on the ice instead of jerseys.
I'm changing my birthday wish...is it too late since they already lost one? Anyway, my NEW birthday wish is for winter to FUCK OFF! 40cm of snow on the weekend and another 30 coming tonight/tomorrow. I can honestly say for the first time I can recall, I am actually sick of winter. I'm beginning to know how those poor fuckers in the GoT must feel whose winters last a generation or something.
And thanks for the wishes on the thread moe and to the rest of ye, and right back at those loved ones also celebrating one today.
No Luongo tonight, they might have a shot. Pretty sure Montoya is still hurt too, so a third string goalie like Andrew Hammond, shouldn't be a problem. Wait. What?
Apologies FHFers as I got a touCH (Sip!) overzealous when I said the leaf was officially eliminated. It may officially happen tonight. CHeers to that! Sip!
"Toronto’s playoff chances will be officially doused if the Boston Bruins earn at least a point in their game against Buffalo. If that happens, it will mark one of the earliest playoff exits for the Leafs since the league expanded from its Original Six teams in 1967. "
Should have booked my trip to Florida a week earlier and I would have been able to make it. Now, I'm going to be dragged to Yankees spring training against my will. HELP.
I watched the 1st Period before the Guinness caught up on me and I called it a night. Habs looked solid but what the hell happened in the 3rd? 21-4 SOG!! In the words of our lawyer - that's good HANGING ON BOYS!...
Yay, a snow day for me! Sadly this means i'll be shovelling another 1/2 metre of snow this evening. But what the hell...HABS WON! Thanks Toker.
So watching me some Canada/Swiss ladies curling. Lots of mistakes being made. Down 2 after 7.
I'm conflicted. I want the sens to catch the broons, but the fucking mediot rats have jumped the sinking (now sunk) leaf ship have landed firmly on the SS Hamburgler. They're a predictable bunch of leaffools who are now just fools and will cheer for any other team including a non-existent Vegas team before giving the Habs the time of day. So fuck e'm all.
I didn't know that points were awarded for being selected 1st, 2nd and 3rd NHL stars. TFS has the most with 260pts. http://www.nhl.com/ice/threestarsstandings.htm?sort=firstStarSelections&gameType=2&season=20142015&pg=1
“I would describe Nikita as a really, really good human spirit. That goes a little bit beyond just being a coachable player. You just sense that youthfulness and that enthusiasm in him,” offered Constantine, whose squad acquired Scherbak in a blockbuster trade with the Saskatoon Blades last September. “He’s fun to be around. He’s got an air about him, an energy about him, a caring about him. He might still make some youthful mistakes, but he’s way ahead of where I was at his age. He’s just got a nice humanity to him. When you’ve got that, you know that your coach is there to help you be a better player. So, in Nikita’s case, I’d go one step further than coachable. He’s just a good human being.”

ReplyDeleteand the Habs still getting screwed.
DeleteJust saw the replay when DiSH!'s puck nocked off Carle's skate blade, could be dangerous if that blade flew higher and hit somebody.

ReplyDeleteFor O-man, 25 minutes later and tsn has no clue the Habs won (sens won after the Habs game was over and it was posted 4 minutes after their win).
ReplyDeleteI watched the 1st Period before the Guinness caught up on me and I called it a night. Habs looked solid but what the hell happened in the 3rd? 21-4 SOG!! In the words of our lawyer - that's good HANGING ON BOYS!...

Yay! Busy day at work today, had to watch on delay. Still problems (that entire 3rd period) but a win's a win. Good for Toker!
ReplyDeleteThis was the headline for the Habs article earlier this morning:
ReplyDelete"Habs explode in second to down Panthers"
This is the headline now on the same article:
"Tokarski stands tall against Panthers"
oops....focusing on the team scoring and not on goaltending, just can't have that out there.

I'd run up the white flag of surrender to Old Man Winter but nobody would see it buried in all this fucking snow.
ReplyDeleteRaise a CH flag. Sip!
DeleteMore snow coming this weekend. Kill me now. Please.

CHaracter!
DeleteSo now that their leaf is out, again the CP is hoisting that sick little fuck leafool steve wino on the Habs. Sick fucks.
ReplyDeleteHabs give too many shots, their goalies make them an overrated team.
DeleteYeah, yeah, okay, we've never heard that before.

ReplyDelete1-0 Hawks over Rags.
ReplyDeleteDid the mediots rip the two teams for such a low scoring game? Did the Hawks rely too much on their goalie?
DeleteNope, just this morning, Blob says the Rags are the team other teams should measure themselves by Cup champs.
