Went to my first Sea Dogs game of the season. Nathan Beaulieu was flying and netted the game winner in OT against Shawinigan. The future looks good even if the present is a little murky.
Also, Michael Bournival, another Habs prospect scored a nice goal in tight. I missed the end of the Habs game but I heard they won. Guess Chocula is safe for a little longer.
Morning all! Sorry I missed the game last night - it was a prime timer for me but the wife has me repainting bedrooms for the kids...so I tried a new way to keep in touch - I listened to TSN990 RADIO - found an app on the Ipod - pretty neat. Listening while painting was novel and suprisingly not as stressful as watching. The Goat's media chat about Markov was interesting too...kept referring to him as "Mr. Markov" - an elite athelete who wants to be back playing etc... - so the Habs will have to wait until mid Jan before he returns - ho hum - watch this space.
Great news was that they got the W. Bad news is that many are hailing the road trip as successful because they got 3 out of 6 points and are only just outside of 8th spot. How exactly is that successful? They shit the bed for 2 out of 3 games - but now we are expected to forget about that and come back to the Bell all happy?...I worry a lot about this team!
BTW - Welcome back Moeman! Glad to have you back 29 did a crackikng job while you were away. But we missed you.
Nice to have you back Moeman. Any chance of vacation pics showing off your tan lines?
3 points of 6 barely keeps the treading to maintain our head above water going,in fact I just swallowed something (shit I hope that was water), anyway we are still on pace for an 82 point season, in the real world that will not get you 8th place.
As postulated in an earlier post, it is looking more and more like the points necessary to clinch the last playoff spot is going to be the lowest in like ever, God Bless you crappy NHL parity/hockey!
CHocula still has to go.
BTW how's Kirk is work doing? Gonna go check now.
Shit CHristmas party last night and anniversary 2nite, Mrs n. all excited...
Beaulieu is going to be really, really good. I predict he'll be better than PK. Not as flamboyant, but better overall. This kid can motor.
Bournival is a decent player. Got good hands and a hard shot. I'd take him over Gomereaha right now. Speaking of ol' Gomer, he's going to be out for a long time right? Crosses fingers.
I realize you are a Canadiens' executive Mr. Gauthier and that Habs hockey is a business but fuck off with the 'Monsieur' Markov. Its Andrei or Vodkov.
Hey Gauthier! See that big fucking iceberg in the water dead ahead? Markov can't turn the wheel fast enough to avoid it. You're going to need a lot more than a one legged Russian to save your season.
I wish I could articulate my thoughts more like Steve but I don't have enough strange chemicals in my blood stream to affect the relevent cortexes. I think.
I bet Hitchcock has a great welcoming party planned for Chocula this Tuesday night. This will be a trapfest supreme between these two chess players. God help the paying public.
@moeman, thanks for the anniversary acknowledgement. Mr. n pulled it off big time this year! After all these many years and anniversaries tonight she shed tears of joy, ...sometimes I surprise my own self.

HNIC last night.."bruins and leafs will be battling for first in the East all season long."
ReplyDeleteFuck off already.
Glad to see TFS looking happy last night.
ReplyDeleteTFS™'s weird board puck bounce crazy acrobatic back to the net save was a thing of beauty.
ReplyDeleteI realize you are a Canadiens' executive Mr. Gauthier and that Habs hockey is a business but fuck off with the 'Monsieur' Markov. Its Andrei or Vodkov.
ReplyDeleteCORRECTION, last post should have read.."SHIT! Christmas party last night & anniversary 2nite, Mrs. n all excited" :)
ReplyDeleteSurprising what poor attention to punctuation can do to a message...
Nice to get the W.
GYFHG!
Was that Cartman or Chucky doing the pre-recorded GO KINGS GO chant crap?
ReplyDeleteWonder what they'll do with Lebrow when Patches is back.
ReplyDelete@moeman, Unlike Thomas, TFS shows grace and style. They better get rid of JM before he decides to move on.
ReplyDeleteOkay Vodkov back under the knife, oh fuck, Goat says its good news, yeah like your house did not burn down. He playing on one leg son.

ReplyDeleteFuck, I forgot Hitch is in St. Louis now. Ignore that previous comment. It'll still be a snorefest.
ReplyDeleteHey moeman, I'm sure you can work the BJ motif into your preview thread. Keep it clean son.
