ReplyDelete@moeman, the only thing I can think of re: cotu Habs-hate is plain old jealousy. Montreal was so successful from the late 60's to '93, and the leaf were perennial door mats, so when the Habs began (in their eyes) to fail they all dove on the pile. I don't put much credibilty in bloggers, this one being the exception because no one takes themselves seriously here. I can see TSN and SN favouring Toronto 'cause they are based out of that City. CBC is the one that really disappoints me because they are a public broadcaster and I have lived for HNIC for decades. I think it's because MacLean and Cherry have essentially hi-jacked the program and surrounded themselves with leaf and bruin sycophants. It is truly sad that I can't watch an English broadcast of a Montreal Canadiens game without there seeming to be a bias against them. Is there possibly an anti French/separatist theme involved as well? Who knows.
