I think Steve brought this point before, but if Buttman locks out, how does next years draft shake out. Do we pick third again?? How did it work the last time ??
Resolution The loss of the 2004–05 season meant that there were no results on which to base the order of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. The league settled on a lottery system in which all teams had a weighted chance at the first pick, expected to be Sidney Crosby. The lottery was tilted so teams with fewer playoff appearances over the last three seasons and fewer number one overall picks over the last four seasons had a better chance of landing higher picks. The complete order was determined by the lottery, and the draft was conducted in a "snake" style, meaning in even rounds, the draft order was reversed. This system was an attempt to compromise between those who felt all teams should have had an equal chance at the first pick and those who felt only the weaker teams should have been in the running. To ease the transition to the salary cap, teams were allowed one week to buy out players at two-thirds the cost of their remaining contract, which would not count against the salary cap. Bought out players could not re-sign with the same team.
Naturally free education will have to come with further investments in our university system," said Jeremie Bedard-Wien. "We can not only remove tuition, we have to improve the quality of education. What we have striven to prove in his campaign is that the two are not mutually exclusive."
Merci Moeman, I'm gonna get me a double whammy today, as I'm only now picking up WW/T. And with SF to follow, and the sun shining in London, I gots me a feeling it's gonna be a GREAT day.
Very sad anniversary. Airline exec should get the book thrown at him.
"Maybe it’s just me, but if I had to identify things I wouldn’t try to do if unqualified for the task, piloting a jet aircraft would have to rank mighty close to the top of the list. The pilots have already paid the piper, of course, but it seems responsibility lies a little further up the food chain. The cited Reuters report goes on to say:" http://blogs.edmontonjournal.com/2012/09/07/lokomotiv-returns-to-the-ice-one-year-after-yaroslavl-air-tragedy-wins-first-game/
My entire collection of 2,770 songs is all from CD. I can put them all on a 32GB stick and transfer them as many times as I want, and could give them to however I want.
I have CD's, cassettes and a few vinyls. Ok, and an MP3 player, but not Itunes. So take the CD's and tapes and you can transfer from the MP3 to stick. Still have a Sony Walkman for the tapes!
