ReplyDeleteMoeman - You had me with the swinging keychain!
ReplyDeleteI'm incredulous that there is going to be another work stoppage...I don't know what more to say...somebody's gotta get this fucker done...seriously...aren't we really only talking about a couple of points on a bazillion dollars - I know it's not quite that simple and there is the whole matter of pride and all that bullshit - but the players and the owners are both forgetting the fact that the kind of numbers they are dealing with are beyond the wildest imaginations of about 99% of true hockey fans. So in real terms it's like that far side comic with the sheep (or dog or whatever)...the owners and players are talking about reducing from 57% to 43% or maybe 46% or whatever and eventually ending up at 50/50. Most of the true hockey fans are hearing..."blah blah blah...I make a bazillion dollars a year and I'm not happy and want more - blah blah blah"

DeleteBig Tits is going to the KHL.
ReplyDeleteSteve will never recover!
DeleteCome back Andrei!
DeleteOh the humanity, I will have to watch Deliverance tonite.
DeleteAndrei Kostitsyn has signed a one year contract with the Chelyabinsk Traktar in the KHL.
DeleteHe is going to tear up the KHL and then you will all be singing a different tune.

ReplyDeleteI want this guy on my team, open the vault Mr Molsen.
ReplyDeleteAt this very moment, our beloved Habs are presenting their case to the QLB. One? of the arguments is that the NHLPA is not a union, they are an "association".
ReplyDeleteI don't thank that's gonna fly....aren't their actions that of a union?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Go Habs Go!
*think*

DeleteSeeing how it's SF I thought the Kate Middletons Boobs thing was very timely. Then I thought to myself .. the woman is boobless. So how can a papyerazzi get a shot of her not boobs at the kind of distance thay were speculating about ...
ReplyDeleteThere had better be some hockey soon ...
pippa on the other hand, thats where I would be putting the effort
DeleteI thought exactly the same thing Chester. What boobs? Maybe next time she should just wear some bandaids on those skeeter bites.
DeleteEven Princes gotta have fun!
DeleteBlunden put on waivers.
ReplyDeleteBlunden will be playing hockey while the rest of them twiddle sticks in Brossard.
DeleteThe Germans blow me away, Lets get some for next season.
ReplyDelete"The Vancouver Canucks signed left wing Alex Burrows to a four-year, $18 million contract extension."
ReplyDeleteIf Burrows is worth that, how much is PFK! worth?
Shane Doan,four-year, $21.2 million contract to stay with the Phoenix Coyotes.
DeleteGET IT DONE DGMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND PAY PFK HIS DUE.
And where are they getting the $$$$?
DeleteCoyotes I mean.$
DeleteAdorable kitties and bonus Black Beauty! Nice.
ReplyDeleteDid the season start yet?
ReplyDeleteI am awaiting the Quebec Labour Board's decision (should be announced tonight) with baited breath and crossed fingers.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Make history once again!!
I read somewhere Tampa fans will hold a protest tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThe Labour Board ruled in favor of the NHL.
ReplyDeleteToo bad.
Ok DGMB, you can sign PFK now.
ReplyDeleteNo Tits for Steve.....or Kate I guess.
ReplyDeleteButtman should just STFU. I find his voice very annoying and I don't believe one word that comes out of his mouth.
Not quite sure what this means, anyone know a lawyer who can decipher?
ReplyDelete"The NHL players’ association lost Round 1 at Quebec’s labour relations board on Friday, but the substance of the case has yet to be decided".

http://www.montrealgazette.com/sports/Labour+board+rejects+NHLPA+request/7243618/story.html
A little clearer now...
Delete"While the commission denied the players' request for emergency relief, it also rejected the NHL's request to dismiss the case. The ruling acknowledges that the players have raised issues about the legality of the NHL's planned lockout that require a full hearing on the merits.
http://espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/8378134/quebec-labour-relations-board-denies-nhlpa-request-immediate-injunction-lockout
PFK not on the list, but here's who was.
DeleteNo players attended the hearings in Montreal. The players listed on the decision were Peter Budaj, Colby Armstrong, David Desharnais, Brian Gionta, Andre Markov, Max Pacioretty, Brandon Prust, Yannick Weber, Rene Bourque, Erik Cole, Lars Eller, Josh Gorges, Petteri Nokelainen, Carey Price, Travis Moen and Ryan White.

NHLPA is also looking into Manitoba and BC as well.
DeleteHockey legend Jean Beliveau will not side with the players or the owners, but in an emotional appeal asks for the NHL to remember the fans.
ReplyDelete"I'm not as fast as I used to be, walking with my cane, so I'm looking forward to those games," says the Hockey Hall of Famer and Order of Canada icon.
"I wish to both parties that they find a way to reach an agreement."
Listen to Jean Beliveau's reminder to the current players as well, about the legacy of players who went before long before labour strife in hockey pit billionaires against millionaires.
http://www.cjad.com/Blog/HabsNews/home.aspx
Now thug lucic signed. C'mon, Marc, get 'er done with PFK.
ReplyDeleteI find it hilarious that noted rich cheapskate Jeremy Jacobs would accept paying a Cro Magnon 6-million per year while turning around and bitching about overpaid players.
ReplyDeleteSome owners do not practice what Buttman is preaching for them. Some long term, big money contracts rushed through before the lockout.
DeleteOf course I'd be ok if PK gets long term, big money signing pushed through before midnight.
Did the season start yet?
ReplyDeleteRemember when Chelios said this about Buttman? Well, I think it's an appropriate time to refresh your memories.

According to Bob McKenzie,
ReplyDeleteI'm told there's no chance Subban signs in MTL today, same with Del. Zotto in NYC and quite likely same for Kane (WPG) and O'Reilly (COL).
So much for that.
DeleteEvander Kane SIX-YEAR, $31.5 MILLION DEAL
8 minutes to lockout DGMB. DO IT!
If Cam Fowler is worth 20$M/5, what is PFK! worth?
ReplyDeletePK is worth ALL THE MONEY! Besides, the team pretty much makes it all back in t-shirts and jerseys with him...
Delete3h 46m to go!
ReplyDeletePresident of the Florida Panthers tweets this with a lockout looming in about 2 hours: "Ending the week with my favorite treat, low fat frozen yogurt. Boy is it good." WHAT?
ReplyDeleteFucking MORON!
DeleteTSN is really desperate for something to talk about, some moron (probably Florida pres. relative) tweeted on the site:
ReplyDeleteSay what you want about them, the Hamilton chapter of the Hell's Angels is committed to a smoke-free workplace.
TSN tweet box:
ReplyDeleteAs has been reported, Hockey Can and NHLPA discussing a Can-Rus series involving locked out NHL players. Part of 40th anniversary of 72.
Wouldn't that be awesome?
FUCK YOU AND FUCK OFF BUTTFACE!
ReplyDeleteGo Bulldogs.
ReplyDeleteGo Sea Dogs.
ReplyDeleteBonus, due to Fuckface's lockout we get to keep Jonny Huberdeau for a bit longer.
Meanwhile, Andrei Kostitsyn is laughing at your lockout.
ReplyDeleteHey look the sun still rose this morning!
ReplyDeleteOK everyone pick your KHL team:
