I've got a few days off so I'm gonna give this game a go tonight...Let's see the boys put 60 minutes together and pull one out of the hat. I am always optimistic around this time before a game, so come on boys!!
The Ducks .... really. What a sad name. I mean, nothing resembling winter, hockey or a fearful beast creature. Might as well have called them the fuzzy ducks ... sorry Go Habs
Yeah, two things I would not want to be known as if I was a pro hockey player - a Duck or a Penguin. Also not desirable - a lightning or an avalanche, who would want to be known as an act of nature.
Don't like seeing blatant headshots like Loui Eriksson took last night but, Jeez the Bruins should expect to be handed some of their own crap once in a while. Not so much fun when it's one of your own is it Claude?
No player deserves any type of retaliatory hit, head, knee, hand, whatever and culprits deserve twice the suspensions the now get from shanabettman. Bruins embezzled a Cup doing just that. Yeah, I typed embezzled, sue me jacobs. (29, you have my digits?)
Hey guys - still here! Not a great feed but hanging in. I can't find a justin feed to use on the iPad so the lap pie has been fired up and it's lagging like a bitch...never mind - what I saw was some effort and a wicked shot by Superplexxe. Bo's pp goal was nice too. I was worried when tin tin got sent down but this guy looks good - playing a decent game...speaking of decent...anyone got a half decent feed/stream tonight?
Watching the Anaheim feed. They're not too bad, and I expect a certain amount of homerism from local broadcasts. But then the guys at intermission say the Canadiens have had 5 pp's to the Ducks' 1, so hopefully they're able to even that out in the third. Yeah, because that's how that works.
Duck broadcaster taking credit because he mentioned the shutout. Like I said, homer knobs, but they've talked more about Habs players (and positively)than any English Canadian broadcast I've heard in years.
Before I go, the Maritimer knows: from Tuesday's gameday thread: the Maritimer2:01 PM I would expect the Habs to beat the Oilers and get hammered by the Ducks and Sharks so the opposite will probably happen.
I had watery eyes all night. I'm not a jersey wearing kinda chick and never have and never will buy a Habs jersey. The only one I sport is a Koivu Ducks out of spite. I stand by that and always will. Forever.
Great listening to the 690 guys after the game. One of them asked, "What if Saku doesn't retire this year? What if he's back here next year? Do we do it again?" The other guy: "If Saku stays in this league for 5 more years, we'll do it 5 more times and the fans will be just as loud."

DeleteHow about a leaf?
DeleteI look out the window and watch them fall. Metaphoric, man.
And YAY it's windy, so enjoy me leaves neighbours!
Without a doubt the worst thing you could ever be if you decided on a career in hockey is a leaf!
DeleteSome new J.T.:

ReplyDeleteIs that what all the cavewomen in bikinis were about?
DeleteIn a roundabout way. CHanneling previous game threads (original site) where the FHFemmes CHatted about wearing minks and having drinks in Anaheim.
DeleteSharks outshooting Poohbears 39-13, tied 1-1. Channeling the effin leaf.

ReplyDeleteBefore I go, the Maritimer knows: from Tuesday's gameday thread:
ReplyDeletethe Maritimer2:01 PM
I would expect the Habs to beat the Oilers and get hammered by the Ducks and Sharks so the opposite will probably happen.
And it turns out Brian Hayward is the colour guy.
Hayward is a pro. the M. is clairvoyant. Thanks for hanging out Saint.
Deletebeaners won it with less than a second to play; "David Krejci tipped in a shot with eight-tenths of a second left in the third period"
ReplyDeleteMink. Meh. Russian sable. Yes.
