Watch out for Calgary, this could be a sucker's match. Don't be over confident Habs. Remember, Rammo was in the system once, he may have a point to prove. Was he part of the RBQ trade?
Yes Maritimer, I believe Ramo was part of the Bourque trade. Not to worry though, also included was a 2nd round pick in this year's draft, who just happens to be another goalie - Zach Fucale. I'd say - good deal. Excellent deal if Holland turns out to be a decent prospect. And I think he may turn into a great 3rd line winger.
I'm sure Fucale will prove to be an excellent acquisition in the Squid deal.
I really liked the Squid signing at the time. Gainey just went after too much of the same thing with Gio and the Mexican't. That whole year when Squid got traded was a giant clusterfuck. They'll be years recovering.
I've only been able to see a few minutes here and there, but the guys look completely disinterested. I've seen this before. Also, DD and Briere are complete wastes of space.
Vinnie has some gas left in the tank. Briere is filling the hole Ryder left. DDD was great in his first year with Max, it's a crapshoot, you win some you lose some.
I do think the Canadiens should be recognized by the league for boosting the confidence of so many nobody AHL goaltenders this last decade. Very considerate.
goood one from ETOP Lars Eller extended his point streak, and scored his 4th goal of the year. I, for one, welcome our new Danish overlord. Maybe we should call it the Scooby Doo line? Because I see two kids and a Great Dane on the ice. Once again they were the best line for the Habs, and generated the vast majority of the offense.
This west coast swing might bury them early. Watched the first two periods, I've seen fewer floaters on a mill pond. I said way up top this was a sucker's game, the Habs thought they had it won in the warm up.
I wish they had a goalie as good as Joey MacDonald, a good maritime lad. That guy was focused last night. Price not so much. Probably a Budaj call tonight, they have a chance.
Love the Scooby Doo line. It's a keeper. We need a Dman. Frankie and Diazelnot are on one game off another, and Vodkov is just old. When is Yemmie due back? We need somebody. Go Habs
They'd be better off playing Beaulieu and Nygren than Cube and Swiss Mister IV or whatever. On the job training for the young guys and take your lottery pick.
Joey MacDonald was 12/12 in the first period. Price was 3/5. Markov had MacDonald dead to rights in the second period on a PP....twice. MacDonald won.....twice.
Vodkov has been doing his, I'm sneaking in from the point and you can't see me thing, for so many years now it should be referred to as doing The Markov. JM was ready. I agree with Beaulieu and Nygren. Just play the young guys. At least they have heart and the legs to keep up. Fingers crossed about Josh. With Josh, Vodkov and PFK we can pack an oldie with a newbie and pray to Allah. Go Habs
Hey guys, l'harceleur (Lars Eller) is "the stalker" in english. That'd be a good nickname for Lego no?
ReplyDeleteLego the stalker. Cheers
Not bad.
DeleteAll Hail Lars.
ReplyDeleteHe is like Mr. Lego now.
Go Habs
Monsieur Lego.
DeleteWatch out for Calgary, this could be a sucker's match. Don't be over confident Habs. Remember, Rammo was in the system once, he may have a point to prove. Was he part of the RBQ trade?
ReplyDeleteCAL's burke is louder than it's bite. (Sue me).
DeleteEggcellent GDT moeman!

Thx The S.
DeleteEggcellent trade for our Habs.
Might be too late for me tonight gang - but I am with you in spirit always!
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!
Spirits!
DeleteWatched the leaf lose last night to St. Patrick's crew, quite satisfying. Tonight's tasty bite is smoked salmon and lox. Yum. GYFHG!!!
ReplyDeleteTwas, still fuckingly sick to listen to the CotU mediamouthbreathers yip the leaf can still go 81-1 without sarcassm.
DeleteThe first 5 game losing streak will beat that nonsense out of those assholes.
DeleteEr, lox and cream cheese. Sheesh.
ReplyDeleteWhite wine?
DeleteYup! You?
DeleteSame. Chard. Turkey dinner with the fixins.
DeleteEarly Thanksgiving?
DeleteSon's BDay dinner. His (and my) fave.
DeleteBonus, duck stuffing.
Duck stuffing, share?
DeleteKinda easy peasy. Did Jamie Oliver's turkey thing and added some chopped roasted duck from a previous roasting of duck.
Deletehttp://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/turkey-recipes/roast-turkey-with-spiced-cranberry-bacon-and-walnut-stuffing
I'm still a traditional sausage stuffing chick. Nanny's old recipe handed down. Not feeling quite that adventurous yet.
DeleteMe too but don't regret it one bit. Tasty.
DeleteDome is quieter than that dead place at the CotU.
ReplyDeleteLink por favor?
ReplyDeleteWhat are you looking for iRiRi?
DeleteCan't watch on TV so I was hoping someone would care to share a link...

ReplyDeleteHey 29, nice to 'see' you Bro.
DeleteWho's this Tim Hortons Briere fella? Does he curl? Sorry, I haven't been around in a while.
ReplyDeleteSo far he's been a just a bit.
Deletecrap
ReplyDeleteAck. Big D breakdown.
ReplyDeleteWelp. Apparently I'm bad luck.
ReplyDeleteEew.

ReplyDeleteactually DDD and the second unit looked not bad
Deletemeh
ReplyDeleteuhh, that's my line.
Deletewell on the upside TFS can not be faulted
ReplyDeleteUpthread Moey and I talk turkey.
ReplyDeleteWOMP.
ReplyDeleteI've only been able to see a few minutes here and there, but the guys look completely disinterested. I've seen this before. Also, DD and Briere are complete wastes of space.
ReplyDeleteBirds of a feather...
DeleteOuiseaus :)
DeleteCHirp, CHirp!
Deletesomebody forgot to give Calgary the message that they suck
ReplyDeleteI guess somebody forgot to tell you that we suck too.
DeleteUgh. I'm dying to watch last night's episode of SOA.
ReplyDeletemy advice to Vampire Dan, more Lilith
ReplyDeleteC'mon, don't piss away two points :(
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, have you guys come up with a half decent nickname for Briere yet?
ReplyDeleteDanny Beer, Vampire Dan, Mexicant 2.0
DeleteNot yet.
DeleteCan we use Mehière?
Sounds ok... a bit too much like Meilleur, and we all know that le meilleur joueur in CH history was The Great Scott Gomehz.
DeleteWe can always use the not-so-original cookie monster
got anything from this century?
DeleteMacaron le glouton?
DeleteIs the whole Flames team Scottish? Itls like playing against Rob Roy and William Wallace.
ReplyDeleteOkay, never tell Mr. M that I'm changing the channel. I"ll depend on you fine folk to let me know if it's worth changing back .
ReplyDeleteAwesome. They're going to get shut out by an AHL goalie.
ReplyDeleteits the battle of stirling and we are the English
DeleteNo, unfortunately we are the French Canadian because apparently that's more important than winning games.
DeleteFor certain media types yes, but if that's Bergevin's MO (I refuse to believe that) we just might as well quit being Hab fans right now.
DeleteIf it's not important to Bergevin, then why are we stuck with the dead weight of DDD and Briere?
DeleteAnd almost Lecavalier?
DeleteVinnie has some gas left in the tank. Briere is filling the hole Ryder left. DDD was great in his first year with Max, it's a crapshoot, you win some you lose some.
DeleteI might have to go to the doctor, got low flow problems with my stream
ReplyDeleteThats not a PK thats assisted suicide
ReplyDeletePFK!
ReplyDeletePKF!
ReplyDeletePFK!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you PFK. Can always depend on this guy to bring it.
ReplyDeleteI will try to be positive.
ReplyDeleteCalgary is going to come out for the thrid with their faces painted blue, when we try and cross the blue line it going to go up in flames,
ReplyDeleteI vote for Griffin as Briere's nickname. i.e HG Wells' Invisible Man.
ReplyDeleteSorry Steve, not from this century, maybe not even last century.
I'm gonna go with Macaron le glouton. I don't care if nobody else goes along with it, I like it.
DeleteHabs already have a first draft pick named Macaron. I kinda like Griffe.
Delete:le gross Lego
ReplyDeleteLEGO 3-2
ReplyDeleteLego! Love that kid.
ReplyDeleteLEGO!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like we have a game now that they decided to show up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for blowing it, ref
ReplyDeleteskating while black or what
ReplyDeleteHabs had very little interest in winning this game, could have been theirs otherwise.
ReplyDeleteHow many actual good minutes of Habs hockey played? Not muCH.
ReplyDeleteI do think the Canadiens should be recognized by the league for boosting the confidence of so many nobody AHL goaltenders this last decade. Very considerate.
ReplyDeleteon the plus side TFS had another good if not great game, and Little DDD was half decent as well, You know why he wears 51? Its his height in cm.
ReplyDeletegoood one from ETOP
