I don't know if Weise is going to like playing for coachless eMpTy. This from the Vancouver Province...sounds like a familiar (non) coaching style.
"As much as the Canucks were giving up on Weise, he was pissed with his plight.
He saw himself as productive and doing his job, but doing it for a coach who would scratch him because of mistakes everyone was making.
He thought he had earned more ice time and saw himself as a player who could play more and help alleviate all the minutes played being heaped on the team’s best players.
Instead, he regularly found himself marginalized during some games and in the press box for other."
Said it before - how is he going to make an impact playing 5-7 minutes a game? But I agree with the M too - crash the net and he's a God. It's laughable that the only Hab who does so on a regular basis is Gally.
Go Habs Go!!
Gonna watch on my NHL subscription package tonight - finally caved an bought in for £35 quid - which I thought was a good deal - except it gives me an english language (read HNIC mostly) feed. We shall see
The headline for the Habs game on TSN's front page is "Montreal Mike" with a photo of Squid. I thought "Cammalleri's back?! Did we trade DDD for him?" No. We didnt' trade to get Squid back. Just a dumb headline.
JohnLuTSNMtl: #Habs White and newly-acquired Weise have known each other since they were 10 (Winnipeg connection). Played against each other in the WHL
@JohnLuTSNMtl: #Habs Therrien would not disclose the details of internal discussion with NHL about the incident involving Gallagher and #NHLJets.
@JohnLuTSNMtl: #Habs Gallagher says he only took issue with the punches from #NHLJets Montoya on Sunday. If roles reversed he says he would've been called.
In today's local paper they have a team stats page for all 30 NHL teams. I don't normally bother to look at them but out of curiosity I checked to see who the leading scorers were for each team. My God. Only two (2) team's leading scorers have less points than the Habs player which happens to be a defenceman, one PK Subban. Only Buffalo and Florida have worse. Why, oh why, are the Habs such a weak scoring team? Is it how they are coached? Is it the system they are forced to play? Are the players just plain bad? I truly don't get it. I know Galchenyuk is hurt but would even he make any difference? It is really discouraging to see that the once powerful Montreal Canadiens have no one even remotely close to being in the top 50!! in scoring in the NHL...out of over 700 players. We make fun of the maple laffs but DoughBoy Kessel has 30 goals and 61 points. At least they have a couple guys who can put the puck in the net and the last time I looked it usually takes more than one goal to win a game. Man, no wonder I can't watch this sad Habs outfit anymore.
The more I think about it the more I realise that rebuilding through draft picks takes a fuck of a long time when you have a dumb ass mutherfucking dickhead coach who won't play the guys sho can score in favour of the fucking gas beds who used to be able to score. GChuk can't score playing 10 minutes a game - which is what that fucking useless cocksucking dickhead as swipe coach was giving him...FIRE THE COACH AND PUT THE GM ON NOTICE SHIT'S GOTTA CHANGE FAST,
@moe, I'm currently on the wagon re: booze, trying to drop a few pounds and have another couple weeks to go. Sadly, now that I think of it, even liquor can't dull this pain.
@KmaXXX, I agree 100%, this coach has to go...ASAP!
Just heard feraro(sp) say KidG will have to be very careful for awhile, when he gets shoved try not to fall into the crease because as soon as he does, he'll be called for goalie interference. He's a marked man, er KidG.
This the fucking filthy CRAP that those fucking so-called tsn moderators post. dog61 2 hours ago montreal was better with cammelerie , but montreal does not like honest white English people, so the traded for rene bourque montreals new pet rock I report the comment but doubt that helps.
So Toronto calls Montreal and tells them to stop play and call them back, that might be a goal. Who else made this decision to go to video? Shouldn't be a goal anyway.
Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!
If you don't mind I'm using your mantra every day to get through this year at work. I keep saying to my self "hang on Moey"! It's keeping me sane and I have a chuckle to myself.
Right now on TSN main page not even a mention of the existence of the wretched leaf. Habs-Bruins/Nucks and Jets. No wretched leaf story. It's comical actually the more they show their true blue colours.
Even funnier, the 'tsn staff', today, was yipping, about, the leaf big, 'surging' 66! points. Check the standings morons. Also, wendelclarkson is a pox and I love it!
So TSN is really trying to bury this leaf loss. First they take forever to post anything about it, then they go with the title above (while still trying to hide it under other headlines and videos...when the leaf win it's splashed across the page as we know). And then in the video we're treated to more saves by Bernier than goals agains (all saves were mediocre, btw). After they quickly go through the score they just concentrate on how amazing Bernier was, that's all.
We're all used to Toronto Sports Network trying to hush hush a leaf loss, but this one is just hilarious. They seem to be especially ashamed of it. Glorious. I wonder if we'll get a Kessel tracker in Sochi. Maybe they'll decide to only show US games since no leaf was good enough for Canada.
Did we win...(checks score...) Yeah Baby!...but wait...sounds like it was a bit of a snoozefest with some steller work by TFS. Dilly (is that his offical 4HF moniker now?) managed a dozen minutes and STOP THE FUCKING PRESS...RBQ actually scored! Sadly I fell asleep before the game started so I will watch it later today.
Diazling had a very good game for Vancouver, led in ice time 25:26, 4 shots, 2:33 on PP and PK, 2 hits,3 blocked shots and the only goal. Wishing all the best, Diazling, just not on Thursday.
Made a really good chicken soup today in a slow cooker, one cut up potato, a few carrots, lentils, can of cracked black pepper and garlic diced tomatoes, with water/chicken broth, salt and pepper to taste. Threw in a handful of fusili pasta towards the end. Picked up a package of freshly made this morning pan rolls to have with it. Dee-lish!
I did post a late comment @kfraserthecall on Twitter that you must have missed. Sorry it was late but I was engaged in 'Twitter combat' (and being duly vilified) by Canadiens fans over the Brendan Gallagher episode against the Jets!
So I went home last night and watched the condensed version of the Flames. The 4th line looked good, they created chances and added a dimension missing from previous incarnations of the 4th lines we've seen this season. All of which means that the coach will undoubtedly break that line up before the end of the first period tonight...Dilly looked good.
I know you guys are sleeping now, but you're missing the first action from Sochi! Some awesome snowboarding going on. The good news is that Max Parrot and Seb Toutant have qualified directly for the men's slopestyle final (McMorris fell on his first run and did a solid second run, but was grimacing with pain from his broken rib and missed out. He'll go to the semis for another shot on Saturday). So far Spencer O'Brien has qualified for the final in women's. We have one more lady, Jenna Blasman, to come in the next heat.

They think they are really clever over there but in reality they are a bunch of dumb fucking leaf fans.
