Feel, FHFeel it grow
In your Pants!, in your mind
Life is how I blog it
Through time, through gametime

And there's our deserved 31 that is hot enough to feed our FHFire
We shipwreck like FHFools only to become the GYFHoser’s choir
And +76 tried and he’ll be reborn
But there's no road that ain't a hard road to get GOLD on

Got lost on the way, but you FHFound the road again
Stay true to your FHFriends, 'cause there’s ice-cream in the ‘end’

There must be something in the air, in the Canadian air
Some kind of answer to my prayers, to our prayers
Some kind of answer to Canada’s prayers
Been waiting since Olympic Day 1 was born
'Cause there's no road that ain't a hard road to get GOLD on

I have a vision in my mind of a life with cockroaches left behind
Yeah, can't you see that lost mediots can't swim
You know they’ll sink, but they still jump in
It's not alright to get caught stealing back what you've fucking lost
Yeah, don't you know that lost mediots can't think
You beat them back, but they step right back to stink
And I can't say that I am sorry for all their many sins

And you try to find the (g)love that'll see you through your Olympic plays
And his strong calm stare is as long as a Canadian highway
And the Sochi FHFun dies until it's reborn
But there's no road that ain't a hard road to get GOLD on

Been saying since Game 1 Preview and Open Thread was born
That there's no road that ain't CArey’s to get GOLD on!!!

There must be something in the air, in the Canadian air

If Canada wins Gold Price will become the only Goalie in hockey history to win the AHL - Jack Butterfield Trophy (Calder Cup playoffs MVP) Canadian Major Junior - Goaltender of the Year WHL - Del Wilson Trophy (Top Goaltender) Calder Cup World Junior Championships under 20 gold also winning the MVP in that tournament and Olympic Gold.More fun facts from the fact guy.

  6. Good morning CAnada! Go Hosers Go!
Nick Backstrom out with a migraine.

From the cockroach pregame chatter, I understand that Lundquist is the best goalie in the universe and if Canada are fortunate enough to get one past him they should win gold. Price has to be careful not to let in a softie. Good stuff.

  94. Canada became the first team in over 20 years to win back-to-back Olympic hockey gold, beating Sweden 3-0 in the tournament finale at the Bolshoy Ice Dome. With the win, Canada also became the first two-time gold medalist since NHLers began participating in the Olympics at Nagano ’98.

Jonathan Toews, Sidney Crosby and Chris Kunitz scored the Canadian goals — the first of the tournament for each — while Carey Price was fantastic once again, stopping all 30 shots faced for his second consecutive shutout. With the win, Price finished the Sochi games allowing just two goals the entire tournament.

Canada goaltender Carey Price, who posted back-to-back shutouts in the semifinals and gold-medal game at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, was named the best goaltender at the tournament.

Price finished the Olympics with a shutout streak of 164 minutes, 19 seconds. The last goal he allowed was to Latvia's Lauris Darzins with 4:19 remaining in the first period of the quarterfinals. He made 31 saves in a 1-0 blanking of the United States in the semifinal and made 24 saves against Sweden in a 3-0 win in the gold-medal game Sunday.

The Montreal Canadiens goaltender finished the tournament with a 5-0 record, a 0.59 goals-against average and .972 save percentage. He allowed three goals on 106 shots.

Sweden's Erik Karlsson was named the tournament's best defenseman. He led all players at his position and tied for the tournament lead with eight points, and his four goals tied for the lead among defensemen. The Ottawa Senators defenseman also led Sweden in goals, assists (four) and plus/minus rating (plus-5).

United States forward Phil Kessel, who tied Karlsson with eight points, was named the tournament's best forward. Kessel's five goals tied Austria's Michael Grabner for the Olympic lead.

Made a joke earlier about Korean TV showing replays of Korean medals instead of the hockey game. Totally what happened! This is why I hate sport in Korea.

Friends scrambled to find online feed. Never really in doubt.

Lundqvist named tournament goalie. Sorry, what???!!!! Shut outs in the semis and final. Plus he faced tougher competition. Bullshit. I hate to bring this party down, but total bullshit. Teemu named tourney MVP, and fine that's based on history. But a goalie allows 3 goals in 5 games and shuts the door in the semis and final to win gold, and no mention? Fucking bullshit!
