He gets his stick slashed out of his hands and then gets the penalty when the TB trips on it? Chrisfuckinglee -Oh Crankshaft. That wasn't good. Hope the dude is ok. -Not blaming the officiating at all, but it was clear in the 3rd that the refs weren't going to allow the Habs to win this one. Too bad the Habs didn't need any help losing. -TFS was awesome, one of his best performances of the season. -Habs can still get home ice, but need a strong finish.
-It's like no one wants that last playoff spot. Caps lose again, BJs lose again, Devils lose again. The leaf win and I'm sure the delusion level has risen tenfold in the last hour.
You want to bench VonT for the rest of the season? Oy!
There were more than a few fuckups last night, but road wins over Boston, Detroit and Toronto followed by an expected win over Florida has earned them a pass in my book. That game last night was winnable but chris lee said otherwise.
Having had a chance to review and read up, I think it a case of same old same old...at his presser the coach had no reason (his words!) for why PFK played fewer even strength minutes than any other D man in the rink. GCHuk barely scratched 10 minutes on the ice - no one asked about that! The Habs were out coached...they were out everythinged really but first and foremost they were out coached. A few nice hard earned wins in spite of a pathetic coach has perhaps made people forget how utterly fucking shit a coach he is...and he's killing some young talented guys. Cast you mind back to the Panthers Game...if it was pretty much any other team in the league, the Habs would have lost that game. They were out played for 40 minutes. That's the thing with this coach - he can rev the engines for 20 minutes but when it comes to changing gears - when he really needs to have the boys switched into overdrive, he grinds them, misses a shift and the whole thing goes tits up. I really don't think the Habs have the right coach to win a playoff series never mind the Cup. All Tampa Bay did last night was change gears - it was all over! Bishop didn't have to stand on his head for the win - that second goal was never coming - you could see it from the play. If the players aren't playing - be pissed at them - but if the coach doesn't find a way to get them playing, YOU HAVE TO GET A COACH WHO CAN!
Agree with the above. Our coach is just another goat, our system is let TFS play. Half of Tampa's team is rookies, mama let them play. But we are in the playoffs and its a whole new season Go You Fucking Habs Go I do not expect much just get to the finals.
As far as penalties go, one game I would like us to just walk off the ice, just take the fines whatever, lay down a marker.
Tweeted this but: I have no idea what 95% of the penalties called on Lars Eller are for. "Oh, here's that Eller kid, let's give him an inexplicable penalty."
I think a phone hearing is max 5 or 6 but I'm guessing 2 or 3, he has no history of suspension. Then again, I think NHL is waiting to see the extent of Kostka's injury.
Parti Quebecois Leader Pauline Marois says if the Charter of Values becomes law, the government will help those who would lose their public service jobs find new ones. Marois was forced to address the issue of charter-related job losses once again Wednesday. Her comments come after PQ candidate Evelyn Abitbol said Monday, at a debate at Vanier College, that a doctor wearing a kippa would lose their job a year after the charter was implemented.
So let me get this straight, they create a discriminating situation, but will help them find new jobs. What about the hundreds of thousands of already lost jobs and those looking for work? where will they find new ones? and if the govt give priority to victims of the charter then doesn't that make those who previously lost their jobs and unable to find work victims of reverse-discrimination?

Nonis is going to up against the cap big time in the off season, his hands are tied behind his back. MB, OTOH, will have tons of cash to lock down his core pieces. Looking at capgeek, it is obvious that Montreal is not dumb enough to sign long term deals like Clark's son. Price has the longest at 6 years, they may go to 7 for PK but that would be the exception. I look for LEGO, a RFA, to be signed to an offer sheet and MB will take the draft picks. The centers on next year's team, as it now stands will be DDD, gCHuk, PleXXXe and CHarger/BlanCHe. I expect DD will have custom made skates with 100cm blades to increase his on ice appearance.

Fucale, Gregoire, Gallant and Brisebois honored Thursday, 03.04.2014 / 9:52 AM Rapid Fire 0 0 0 Email
Comment Print - Habs prospect Zachary Fucale took home two awards at the Gala des Rondelles d’Or, which took place on April 2. For his fine work in net for the Halifax Mooseheads, the goaltender won the Jacques-Plante Trophy for holding the best goals-against average in the league and the Paul-Dumont Trophy for being the personality of the year.
In 50 games with the Mooseheads this season, Fucale notched 36 wins and six shutouts, presenting a 2.26 goals-against average and a 0.907 save percentage. He also took part in the Subway Super Series as well as the World Junior Championships.
- The accomplishments of Jeremy Gregoire, another Habs prospect, were also acknowledged. Gregoire won the TELUS Marcel-Robert Trophy for scholastic athlete of the year. The centerman racked up 69 points, including 35 goals, in 65 games while pursuing a business administration education at the CEGEP de Baie-Comeau.
- On the same night, the careers of Patrice Brisebois and Gerard Gallant in the QMJHL were celebrated, as both league alumni were inducted into the QMJHL Hall of Fame.
As a player, Gallant split his time between the Sherbrooke Castors, the St-Jean Castors and the Verdun Juniors, amassing 321 regular season points and 90 playoff points. He also excelled as head coach for the Saint-John Sea Dogs from 2009 to 2012, taking home Coach of the Year honours in 2010 and 2011, and winning a Memorial Cup in 2011.
For his part, Brisebois put up 258 points in 208 games as a defenseman for the Laval Titans and the Drummondville Voltigeurs. Named 1990-91’s Defenseman of the Year in the QMJHL, he also took part in the Memorial Cup in three straight years, contributing 12 points in 13 games.
Tonight's leaf/puketeam game is the last on TSN for the season and the panel is on the road at the ACC/Mausoleum. The panel will have their blue and white pompoms and will be heard shouting go leaf go! lead by insidredger, blob et al.
People actually get paid to write this poorly: "A narrow victory over Calgary Tuesday night wasn't exactly the Mona Lisa he imagined, but it did breathe the slightest gasp of life into the Maple Leafs sputtering playoff hopes." leaf suck up siegel at tsn. Someone explain to me how the Mona Lisa breathes life. Fucking weird.
Hilarious that they have their entire crew/panel/suckups at the leaf arena. These mediots are desperate as they realize that this is their last leaf suckfest for 12 fucking years.
The local Provigo had 2xlobster tails for $4. Makes for some great sammiches. Easy peasy mayo mix includes mayo+dijon+sriracha. Buttered and toasted buns make it a sublime meal. Goes well with Stella.
The deal got even better as the weekly special was over. The tails were frozen and the store manager dropped another 30% off. They only had 6 left. All mine!
Re: the last leaf suckfest by TSN, I think they still got some rights to regional games for the foreseeable future. The panel can still jack off at the sight of their leaf.
You can still feel the tension in the air at the ACC, though. Homeboys are leading 3-1 halfway through a must win game, you'd expect some noise, but it's pretty quiet in there. At least they're starting to accept that their team is prone to collapses. or they're all too busy getting sushi to cheer them on.
Chinless Wonder: "It has been a bewildering set of circumstances in Toronto this year!" What the fuck does that even mean? Holy hell, I hope they die soon.
Ah, so what? They're still 1 point out with 2 games in hand. In fact, the BJs are just behind Philthy now. TSNCBC will chalk this up as some amazing clutch win, but it really doesn't make any difference. Even if Columbus goes 3-3, the leaf still needs to go 4-1. Not. Going. To. Happen. In fact, I kind of like the idea of forcing their idiot fans to hold onto hope as long as possible. Make the heart breaking especially terrible.
To be fair, the CLB-PHI highlights are up to, because they directly affect the leaf I guess. Only reason I can think of that the TB-CAL clips aren't up (fuck the rest of Canada's teams, as per usual).
You know, they can try to make that JVR between the legs shot happen, but I for one have never actually seen it work. I've never actually seen it get anywhere near working. Flashy without any substance whatsoever. Kind of like the leaf in general.
Called it! Already there's a video titled "Flipping the script" on TSN. In what was shaping up to be an encore of last year's epic playoff collapse, the Maple Leafs flipped the script this time around. The NHL on TSN panel has more.
"Feels good to get out of the studio. It feels really surreal, doesn't it?" "This is a feel good story!" "It's amazing!" "Tremendously resiliant and gutsy effort by the maple leafs!" "It would only the toronto maple leafs who could lost 8 straight in regulation and then win 6 in a row to make the playoffs!"
Jesus Christ. Do you think CBCTSN isn't even bothering trying to hide this shit anymore since they're bought out now? The last Habs-leaf game was especially leaf-happy, too. I just think they know their jobs are gone anyway so they might as well be honest finally.
Just finished watching.

ReplyDeleteI'm OK with 3 games but on the other hand, Gryba got only 2 for actually trying to kill lego and loocy gets nada for trying to sterilize (Y).
DeleteFuck this shit. TSN "you have to be-leaf". I hope the beaners DESTROY them tonight.
ReplyDeleteHilarious that they have their entire crew/panel/suckups at the leaf arena. These mediots are desperate as they realize that this is their last leaf suckfest for 12 fucking years.
DeleteGood, when the leaf die tonight, it will just mean they`re all gathered for the wake.
DeleteThe local Provigo had 2xlobster tails for $4. Makes for some great sammiches. Easy peasy mayo mix includes mayo+dijon+sriracha. Buttered and toasted buns make it a sublime meal. Goes well with Stella.
ReplyDeleteBeaulieu (Bo?) called back.
ReplyDeleteOoh. Love.
ReplyDeleteThe lobster I mean.
DeleteThe deal got even better as the weekly special was over. The tails were frozen and the store manager dropped another 30% off. They only had 6 left. All mine!
DeleteShare?
DeleteOf course but you have to like soft buns.
Delete(ciabatta is a bit to crunchy for this sammich)
The softer the better.
Delete+butter
Deletetsn's slimy mark masters is really slimy. Just as slimy, kadri and any slimy tsn'ers that quote his slimy comments.
ReplyDeleteHe is a slimey little fuck. Kadri is a fucking dirty little jackal. Can't wait for somebody to target his head with a well placed elbow.
DeleteAck
ReplyDelete1-1
ReplyDeleteWhew.
ReplyDeleteRe: the last leaf suckfest by TSN, I think they still got some rights to regional games for the foreseeable future. The panel can still jack off at the sight of their leaf.
ReplyDeleteNice catch.
DeleteAlso, jvr needs a whoopee cushion? Too funny.
His back my ass. It's piles from wallowing in the shitfest they call the leaf.
Deleteaww, clark$on got a boo-boo on his toe-toe.
ReplyDelete'momentum'? A fluke goal off of bosack isn't 'getting back momentum' sick fucks.
ReplyDeleteGO BROONJACKETS GO!!!
ReplyDeleteDIE LEAF DIE!
Go Flames, c`mon Squid, go get a hattie.
ReplyDelete1-0 CHeez Whizz scores for the BJs.
ReplyDeletecrap
ReplyDeleteFor the, love of Christ. This sn't going as planned.
ReplyDeleteGood, clark$son`s back, we all know what that means.
ReplyDeleteLots of time for a collapse.
ReplyDeleteWill the refs give the beaners 6 straight power plays in the 3rd?
ReplyDeleteSo tonight's the night the broons decide to suck (they're still outplaying the leaf, though). Oh well. Go BJs! Go Flames!
ReplyDeleteYou can still feel the tension in the air at the ACC, though. Homeboys are leading 3-1 halfway through a must win game, you'd expect some noise, but it's pretty quiet in there. At least they're starting to accept that their team is prone to collapses. or they're all too busy getting sushi to cheer them on.
ReplyDeleteChinless Wonder: "It has been a bewildering set of circumstances in Toronto this year!" What the fuck does that even mean?
ReplyDeleteHoly hell, I hope they die soon.
2-0 BJs, which would mean this leaf game is worthless.
ReplyDeleteDoobie doobie doo, BJ's score 2!
ReplyDeleteIf the leaf does hold on here (big IF), I'm thinking the narrative will turn into "The leaf are TURNING IT ON! CRUNCH PLAYERS! KESSEL4LIFE!!!!!!"
ReplyDeletephucktards get BJ'd.
ReplyDeleteBlue Jackets take it 2-0
ReplyDeleteBJs win!
ReplyDeleteI predict 4 straight penalties for the leaf.
ReplyDeleteThat was a slow motion goal...Ugh, cheering for boston makes me feel dirty. Where's a meteror when you need one.
ReplyDeleteYou aren't cheering for the broons, you are cheering against the leaf. Its like voting in an election.
DeleteHeh. Like it. A lot.
DeleteI am absolutely shocked that a leaf got the penalty for interference on their own goalie - rightfully so.Wow.
ReplyDelete3-3
ReplyDeleteYou just know that Reimer will be blamed and hung out to dry be leaf nation and their `classy` twitterverse.
ReplyDeleteFlames leading 3-1 with under 2 left in the 3rd.
ReplyDelete4-1 final Habs take back 2nd place.
Deleteno tanks
DeleteCredit to Ferraro for showing that disgusting dirty hit by kadri.
ReplyDeleteAnother dirty hit by Nazem "Attempt to Injure" Kadri? I'm shocked.
DeleteWe all knew the collapse was coming, but it's still sort of sweet.
ReplyDeletefinish the job you disgusting broons
ReplyDeleteBury these fuckers!
ReplyDeleteI FUCKING HATE THAT FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT RAT MARCHAND SO FUCKING MUCH
ReplyDeleteOf all freaking people.
ReplyDeleteTSN is having having a party. Jesus, the Miracle on Ice was more measured.
ReplyDeleteOh well, refs did their part.
ReplyDelete"They keep the dream alive". Holy shit, what dream? Have to take a quick shower, leaf splooge is burning my skin.
ReplyDeleteAh, so what? They're still 1 point out with 2 games in hand. In fact, the BJs are just behind Philthy now. TSNCBC will chalk this up as some amazing clutch win, but it really doesn't make any difference. Even if Columbus goes 3-3, the leaf still needs to go 4-1. Not. Going. To. Happen. In fact, I kind of like the idea of forcing their idiot fans to hold onto hope as long as possible. Make the heart breaking especially terrible.
ReplyDeleteSorry, the leaf would have to run the table at 4-0 if the BJs play .500.
DeleteIn other news, thanks Flames!
ReplyDeleteHabs will need to win tomorrow to solidify their standing.
ReplyDeleteWow, the leaf highlights are already up. I literally have to wait 3-4 hours after the game to get the Hab highlights on TSN.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, the CLB-PHI highlights are up to, because they directly affect the leaf I guess. Only reason I can think of that the TB-CAL clips aren't up (fuck the rest of Canada's teams, as per usual).
DeleteYou know, they can try to make that JVR between the legs shot happen, but I for one have never actually seen it work. I've never actually seen it get anywhere near working. Flashy without any substance whatsoever. Kind of like the leaf in general.
ReplyDeleteCalled it! Already there's a video titled "Flipping the script" on TSN.
ReplyDeleteIn what was shaping up to be an encore of last year's epic playoff collapse, the Maple Leafs flipped the script this time around. The NHL on TSN panel has more.
"Feels good to get out of the studio. It feels really surreal, doesn't it?"
Delete"This is a feel good story!"
"It's amazing!"
"Tremendously resiliant and gutsy effort by the maple leafs!"
"It would only the toronto maple leafs who could lost 8 straight in regulation and then win 6 in a row to make the playoffs!"
Jesus Christ. Do you think CBCTSN isn't even bothering trying to hide this shit anymore since they're bought out now? The last Habs-leaf game was especially leaf-happy, too. I just think they know their jobs are gone anyway so they might as well be honest finally.
