So long as their team is either mediocre or outright pure shit, I will enjoy watching them suck each other off, in public. Sick fucks.
A meeting took place last week between the NHL and NHLPA regarding the return of the World Cup of Hockey, and all signs point towards Toronto hosting the tournament.
According to Pierre LeBrun of ESPN, the Montreal Canadiens wanted to host part of the tournament but the organizers want it to remain in one city. The plan, from the beginning, was for the Maple Leafs to host the entire event.
LeBrun also notes that NHL executive John Collins wants the return of the World Cup to be a one-city event in order to create more hype.
The tournament, which hasn't been played since 2004, has not been announced by the league due to a desire to make long-term plans regarding the future of the World Cup. The NHL wants to commit to the tournament for more than one year, according to LeBrun.

Ok, well, was watching on delay and when it appeared the Wings scored their 2nd goal I just skipped to 'live' just in time for gCHuck's goal. Still unsure why that goal was called back (watching without sound). Not complaining, though.
Not that facts ever shut the haters up, but enough with this "Habs get all the calls in Montreal!" BS. Guess who has the worst home PP-PK time in the league? That'd be MTL at -8:11, 2+ mins more than the second to last place Kings. Overall, the Habs are 28th in that category.
If you're wondering who has the most PP opportunities (and PP time), that'd be the leaf. MTL is 18th and 23rd in those categories, respectively.
But you know, the Habs get all the calls, especially at home!
"My job was to get that puck and put it on net, and his job was not letting me do it. I got the best of that, but that game's over and to be honest I already forgot about it." — Canadiens forward Alex Galchenyuk on his late game-tying goal in Montreal's 2-1 OT win
I couldn't join you last night so I tried to follow the comments from where I left off last night - that way I live through the game just as you guys did. The highs, the lows, the calls and no calls, the goals...and the goals against. By the time I get to London Bridge (which is not falling down btw) the Habs have won another game. Nice way to start a day in windy London Town! Go Habs Go!!
Holy shit! There has been a shooting at the National War Memorial in Ottawa, CTV News has confirmed. CTV News' Katie Simpson was at the War Memorial in Ottawa on Wednesday morning, and witnessed passersby attending to someone who had been shot. Police said a man believed to be a member of the Canadian Forces was shot at the memorial. There are also reports of shots being fired inside Parliament Hill.
The American-born forward had a running physical battle with Detroit defenceman Kyle Quincey for two periods before potting his goal. In his first two NHL seasons, he might have backed away from such encounters, but not any more. "I had a great summer of training," said Galchenyuk, who was picked third overall in the 2012 draft for his speed and playmaking skills. "I got stronger and I feel more confident physically. "You want to start the year feeling comfortable with yourself because like that you can do more things on the ice. Physicality is not an issue for me right now."
"LOCKDOWN in effect. Stop all activities. If possible, close and lock the door, and turn off lights. Silence cell phones. Keep away from doors and windows. If it is safe to do so, close blinds. Take cover and remain quiet until authorities instruct otherwise."

It is indeed a sad day in our country and in our history.
What never ceases to amaze me is how cowardly these terrorists are, whether it's walking up to and shooting an innocent man on guard duty at a memorial site or cutting a tied up and defenceless person's throat these soulless, mindless puppets are despicable trash. They think when they do these monstrous acts to other human beings and they die after they accomplish their goal there are a multitude of virgins waiting for them in the afterlife.
