Happy birthday Moey! Sorry to hear you are not well. Hot chicken soup and some Jack Daniels should help...who am I kidding...it sure won't hurt! Go Habs go!!
Pork tenderloins. Dry rub piri-piri spice. 2 days in the fridge. Seared, then oven at 350 for 12 mins. Garlic noodles are too easy. Pick a pasta, al dente it. Heat some good EVOO, throw in as much fresh crushed garlic as you like. Swirl in the noodles, add pepper, parmesan and/or hot pepper flakes if you like it hot (easy Moey!).
Stock is a fucking joke. Says GMs should bring video of kidG to the league and say we want to protect our best players, we have to stop someone who has the most goaltender interference in the league. Habs complained about kreider but remember gallagher next time and if someone hurts my goalie and I'm a player on that team, well the next time I am going to hurt their goalie.
KidG gets enough penalties already (too many) so the league and the refs and the pinheads have already singled him out. So, if I am DGMB or MT2 or KidG, test them and take it to the extreme and crash hard into say King Henry or whatever plug the Sens play. For fun. pjstuck is a wannabe kypreos minus the extended forehead.
So you like Iron Man, Batman obviously and the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron will feature Spader doing the voiceover for Ultron (evil A.I.) created by RDJ's Tony Stark. Yeah!
I should be able to watch most of the game. The kids are putting on some sort of dance and singing festival that I'm supposed to help with, but I can usually hide away from those sorts of things. There's only so much K-pop I can handle.
So the jilted fucks at the acc are booing Josh Gorges. Man, was his decision to tell them to fuck off great or what. Stupidest zombie fans in pro hockey. Eat shit leafools.
Josh was a good (if a little under talented Hab) and we will always be grateful for his efforts. His telling the leaf to fuck off was pure bonus material. I hope he gets the winning goal tonight.
Wait, how is that a penalty but what just happened to DDD and what happened to gCHuck earlier wasn't. They were the exact same plays. Except the Flame was bearhugging DDD for 5 seconds before he took him down.
Not sure if it would have been a surefire goal as SN says seeing as Price completely stopped playing because the whistle went.
Speaking of which, SN is terrible. I have no idea what those penalties were for. No replay, no explanation. Instead just Hrudy going on about not winning in Boston.
Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!
Wow, I guess that last PatCHes is ruled off-side, waiting for the replay after TV time out. I didn't hear a whistle but from the reactions I think it was called before he shot the puck.
Hrudy is incensed that it's not a penalty against Patches. Nevermind the 3 Flames who attacked him after. No, letting the puck slide into the net after the whistle is intolerable.
Sportsnet just showed the leaf highlights and ended "Big win at home, WAY TO GO BOYS!" Uh-huh. Also, everyone shuts out the sabers. They're the worst team in recent NHL memory.
I've actually had no problem with any of the calls against the Habs. But if we're using that standard, I'm really confused about what is being let go the other way.
Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!
For the guy who said earlier it should have been a penalty for Patches putting the puck into the net after the whistle because he's a former goalie, he seems not to mind the continuous running of Price.
We're getting into tinfoil hat territory, but there was about a 1 minute sequence where the officials got in the way of the puck three times. Each time it greatly helped the Flames.
Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!
Kypreos (sp? ah, who cares) is saying Tiny did the knee on purpose and deserves a suspension. Like I said, SHOCKER! If that was PK that got hit he'd be screaming dive.
Can't wait to see what'll happen next! Will it be a tripping call? A slashing? Interference? What will the Habs go to the box for next?! The suspense is killing me!
Funny, the SN guys were utterly convinced that the Flames shot would have gone in anyway. You know they one slowly, barely, rolling wide with Price's stick right there? Yeah.
Just to summarize for any FHFers catching up in the morning:
Habs spent 6 of the last 7.5 minutes of the game shorthanded. -Kneeing against Tiny. Totally accidental. Stajan really milked it, too. He was out the next shift. -Cross checking against PAP. Actual legit call (shocking, I know) although the Calgary guy was on his knees asking for it. -Hooking on Y(?). Also legit, but the Flame guy pretty much did Kyle Shewfelt's 2004 gold medal floor routine down the ice to sell it.
But they pulled it off. All of this will pad their stats.
All of last season MTL won only 9 games when the other team scored first. They've already won 6 so far this year. But I don't really want them to keep pushing their luck.
So I read through all the comments aboard the 7:11 to London Bridge this morning - Thanks Juce and Moeman and O-man (and any others) who stayed up and watched. Habs move on to Vancouver with an 8-2 record - Whoo Hoo!
Now I have to watch to game later on to fully comment but the theme running through the comments were mainly about the Flames running TFS and the refs not paying any attention. 7-3 on the penalty front - which is bad - at this point I don't know if it's justified...I hate being the one crying that "the refs treat us bad", as I do feel that overall it evens out - mostly!
Of far greater concern here - 19 shots! TOTAL! the Flames had 16 in the 2nd period alone! 19 Shots people - that is pretty piss poor. Gilbert notched his first goal because he put the puck on the net. If you shoot it at the net, you never know what is going to happen. Passing the puck endlessly in the offensive zone without taking a shot really is both fucking annoying and absolutely pointless. Wasn't it Wayne Gretzky who said "You miss 100% of the shots you never take" ? Now that may or may not make grammatical sense but the idea is right.
The Habs might be 8-2 right now - but if they keep on taking only 20 shots a night they won't be for very much longer!!
I probably complained about the refs more than completely necessary. I would say most (though not all) of the Habs penalties were justified if they were calling a tight game. The problem is it was carte blanche on the other end. I will complain about the refs here during a game, but I know it's just game talk. But it's adding up over the last few games (and not just penalties). I've listed the stats earlier. I mean, someone's gotta be on bottom but it's just strange for a "small speedy" team.
Anyway, it's painful to watch. Not their best game, but they got the job done. If you're a fan of TFS being TFS then it will be entertaining.
I want to dominate, not in a Jian Gomesh way, but on the ice. This team seems to be slipping back into a Chocula like coma. If this is not a cup contender its not to early to tank. Dive Capetian Dive.Barrfalo only manged 10 shots on net against the hapless leaf. We are going to have to dive hard and fast to get there.
Call me old fashion. I think sex should be an Olympic sport. However combing sex and boxing is just wrong.
Since I didn't see the game, I'm just going by O-man's and juce's comment... sounds like the officiating was less than stellar. I don't rally care about that. The bottom line is the Habs won. That's all that really matters. What's been irritating me is all and I mean ALL the fucking morons working for Snet and by extension the CBC plus TSN all whining that the Habs aren't as good as their record indicates, their defence isn't that good, they only win in shootouts, blah, blah, blah. Well fuck all you jealous, petty leafools.
Two quotes form the world of the NFL: 1. Bill Parcells, Super Bowl winning coach : "You are what your record says you are."
2. Al Davis, owner of the Oakland Raiders : "Just win, baby."
So. to reiterate: The Montreal Canadiens are 8-2 which says they are a pretty good team. They just keep winning, baby.
Honorary FHF member for this story. http://relentlessineptitude.blogspot.ca/2014/09/jarred-tinordi-victim-of-double.html?showComment=1414615221264#c6481608700953210759
I was out last night. Thanks to juce and o'man et al for the commentary. The shots ratio scares me. Oy
So let me get this straight. Schedule makers send the Habs out on a West coast trip after 2 weeks of the season, with one day of rest. Then they make them play 3 games in 4 nights on said west coast trip. Do I have that right?
So some MPs are saying they PTSD after the shooting in Ottawa. No to sound cruel, but may NOW they will understand, many even remotely, what our military and vets suffer and show them a little more humanity & respect via Veteren Affairs.i/o stone-walling and beauracracy which they now display.
The only way to get a politician to care about your troubles is for him to have your troubles. But seriously, PTSD? Does everyone get to have that now? I understand those coming home from a warzone, but come on. I don't want to sound mean and I know everyone reacts differently, but when I was about 9 I was in a store with my mom and three armed robbers came in shooting the place up (after years of peaceful existence in big city Montreal, this happened in our first year in suburban Ontario). We actually saw one of the guys get shot. It really didn't have an impact on either of us. Of course it upset us for a week or two, but longterm I kind of just forgot about it. I only remember it when other shootings are brought up. But these days I suppose it'd be all PTSD and wah wah wah I'm a victim too crap.
Besides, I'm no psychologist, but isn't it way too early to tell anyway. It's not even a week. Wouldn't it be normal to still be upset by the events? I doubt this will make any of them more sympathetic to our military who actually have to deal with real psychological horrors anyway. If you're the type of person already screaming victim less than 4 days after a real victim is buried, you're probably not the type of person to understand the real victimization of others.
Rick's rant WAS great...but if you to go nhl.com the header which shows each game tells you which channel the game is on. Speaking of that I just clicked on the nhl.com preview for the Habs-Canucks game and it says "Montreal has given up the first goal in eight of its 10 games, and is 0-for-21 on the power play on the road, according to the Montreal Gazette." Shouldn't the NHL have these statistics themselves, rather than relying on a newspaper article? I found it an odd thing to state from the website of the league that theoretically tracks all statistics related to said league.
I am also doing a kick starter to correlate the hardness of ones shot with risk. Not to pre judge the results, but the Mexicant should go to emerg immediately.
Refs are morons.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!
ReplyDeleteMoore is having an in-person hearing. I doubt Krashing Kreider will get anything, the NY NHL won't suspend 2 players on NYR.

ReplyDeleteLooks completely accidental. If anything, Stajan was the one that moved into that position. Which means a 5 major for Tiny, I'm sure.
DeleteDidn't really stick his knee out, so not intentional.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter, still a penalty of course! Never mind the 3 Flames that attacked him afterwards. Roughing is not a thing, apparently.

ReplyDeleteYou can tell leafs don't win often, it's the main story even though other games that finished later won.

But it's adding up over the last few games (and not just penalties). I've listed the stats earlier. I mean, someone's gotta be on bottom but it's just strange for a "small speedy" team.
DeleteAnyway, it's painful to watch.
ReplyDeleteCall me old fashion.
ReplyDeleteTwo quotes form the world of the NFL:
Fuck you mediots and leafools.
Nicely done.
DeleteAlso, too, they won it for Moey!
Yes, that too. Hope she is feeling better today. I am, after that rant!
DeleteMath is the argument people use when all they have is facts.
DeleteGreat rant The M!
DeleteApparently, PAP told TFS, 'don't worry I got this' and TFS started to leave the crease before he even took the shot.
ReplyDeleteThis is really why Kypreos was slamming Tinordi for yesterday's game.

good one! or two or three to the head
DeleteI had forgotten about that obvious connection from the past. Now it all makes sense...

Right effin on.
DeleteGo Habs
Moore only gets 5 games.
ReplyDeleteDid we win?
ReplyDeleteI was out last night.
Fuck the NHL.
Oh and this was after 4 in 6 nights on the road to open the season, including a trip to Florida for no reason to play only ONE of the Florida teams
DeleteFuck the NHL
The Calgary Flames will be without the services of forward Matt Stajan for approximately six weeks, the club announced Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteStajan has been placed on injured reserve after a knee-on-knee collision with Jarred Tinordi of the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday.
Center Markus Granlund was recalled from AHL Abbotsford to compensate for the loss of Stajan.
Tinordi will not be disciplined by the league as a result of this incident.
So some MPs are saying they PTSD after the shooting in Ottawa. No to sound cruel, but may NOW they will understand, many even remotely, what our military and vets suffer and show them a little more humanity & respect via Veteren Affairs.i/o stone-walling and beauracracy which they now display.
ReplyDeleteWow many typos, but you get my point.
DeleteThe only way to get a politician to care about your troubles is for him to have your troubles.
DeleteBesides, I'm no psychologist, but isn't it way too early to tell anyway.
And that's my rant on the subject.
Harper and the Banana Cons give Canada PTSD!

Good one and so true.
DeleteOh god that was great. Punjabi, heh
DeleteRick's rant WAS great...but if you to go nhl.com the header which shows each game tells you which channel the game is on.
ReplyDeleteGO HABS. FUCK OFF REFS.
All I got to say is that one way or another I am protected.
ReplyDeleteI am also doing a kick starter to correlate the hardness of ones shot with risk. Not to pre judge the results, but the Mexicant should go to emerg immediately.

this team is a prime example of the sum being bigger than the parts. Or maybe to score when the pot is on the kettle in the nhl is pure pinball!
