As we wait...and wait...and wait to play Buffalo, thought I'd take moe's advice and post a request. Then I thought parody. When I think Buffalo, I think Springfield. But I can't do anything anti-Buffalo being they're sadsacks with Gio and Gorges, so, for what it's worth, a mid(ish) week break...:
There's something happening here
But what it is ain't exactly clear
There's a mediot with a mic over there
Telling me the Habs got to beware
I think it's time we stop
Children, what's that sound?
Everybody look - Hughson's going down
There's battle lines being drawn
The Habs are all right and the mediots are wrong
Habs fans speaking' their minds
Getting so much CotU resistance from behind
It's time we stop
Hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look – McLean’s going down
What a field day for the leaf
A thousand people saluting in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly saying, "plan the parade"
It's time we stop
Hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look - Chery's going down
Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when Lucic is always afraid
Step out of line, Weise’ll come and take you away
We better stop
Hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look - Kypreos' going down
We better stop
Hey, what's that sound?
Everybody look - Friedman's going down
We better stop
Now, what's that sound?
Everybody look - Hrudey's going down
We better stop
Children, what's that sound?
Everybody look - Sportsnet's going down (on the leaf)

Stupendous SF, moeman. What is sexier than Richard Gere? Is there really a hockey game tonight? Can I have some of that mushroom soup for lunCH?
ReplyDeleteHey moeman, thanks for publishing me! Awesome SF as always. That water reflection pic is outstanding. Lots of nippage 2 shots below...don't tell the Blogger police.
ReplyDeleteNo mention on any of the leafsites how the Habs are still in first despite not having played for 5 days. Go on, keep your fucking blinders on - it'll make it all the sweeter in the end.
You know though, I was looking at the standings and I think I'd actually be OK with the leafs and sens making the playoffs if it meant the broons, philthy and rags missing.
Anyway GYMFHG!
Is Tang playing tonight?
Or do we call him Tank?
Or Poon?
Watching TV last night, they said historically, if a team is not in a playoff position by this time of year, they usually don't make it. The current position for Habs, leaf and Sens are:
DeletePoints Record needed to make the playoffs:
Habs 33 30-29-0
leaf 25 34-26-0
sens 24 35-26-0
As of today, even if the Habs have a 500 record, they'll make the post-season, though I see them doing muCH better than that.
broons and leaf hold the 1st & 2nd wildcard spot and the sens are 1pt behind the leaf with a game in hand so that could change.
Go Habs Go!
Of course, LA did make it on the last day grabbing the 8th spot and then winning the Cup.
DeleteYep, confirmed. How about ET as in extraterrestrial since he hails from another time zone?
DeleteExcellent SF Moeman. I always had a soft spot for Ripley, she reminds me of a beautiful girl I never knew in high school.
ReplyDeleteHappy Black SF everybody! Looks like this discount trend has really caught on in the UK - we've had fights in Asda (UK speak for Walmart) that started early in the morning. Sad lot!!
ReplyDeleteGreat SF Moeman - as usual nice ones all round! Loves me some Sigourney too! And who is that coming out of the water just after the cat pic? Seriously SF!
I am honoured to be any sort of inspiration for your blogging work. Thank you.
So b2b against the Sabres eh!!?? Let's hope the boys are sharp tonight. I say, play TFS tonight - if they win - play him again tomorrow - it's not like he'll be tired - No disrespect to Toker but TFS playing 1 game a week is not a recipe for continued success. He needs to get back into the Venina Zone.
Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!
TFS is confirmed for tonight.
DeleteGo Habs Go!
Isabella Rossellini
DeleteAhhhh...nice!
DeleteExcellent SF Moe, and a fantastic parody, Saint Paddy. Made my day!
ReplyDeleteNice to see you back lehab!
DeleteTangradi will play tonight.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's because I missed a week - but who is tang playing in place of? Who is in the coaches doghouse or who is hurt?
DeleteI think Gilbert will be a scratCH.
DeleteOk - that makes sense...I guess...let's hope for the best.
DeleteGo Poon! (just trying it out)
DeleteGorges is out with injury.
DeleteGo philthy
ReplyDelete1-0 rags end of 1st
ReplyDelete, Eric Tangradi will take part in his first game as a member of the Canadiens on Friday night. Penciling Tangradi in alongside Manny Malhotra and Dale Weise, Michel Therrien has made his expectations very clear when it comes to the 25-year-old winger.
ReplyDelete“He’s a big guy and I’m expecting him to play like it. I want him to skate. He has an opportunity to come back to the National Hockey League and I think he’s a young man who has sort of been searching for his place and his role the last few years,” said Therrien, whose new forward already has 136 career NHL games under his belt coming into Friday’s tilt. “We just want him to be himself and make his presence felt on the ice.”
- Ready to make his Canadiens debut on road ice, Tangradi is looking forward to keeping things simple in Buffalo, hoping to help bolster a lineup that already owns one of the best records in the NHL this season.
“Winning teams need to have balance and depth on all four lines, so if I can come in here and provide some sort of spark or try to do something to create momentum and help the team win, that would be great,” explained the Philadelphia native, who has previously suited up for the Penguins and Jets. “Manny plays a very simple game and a very predictable game. Coming into a new lineup, when you have a guy who plays the middle position the right way, you can feed off of him and know he’s going to be in the right spots at the right time. It takes some weight off me coming in and it allows me to do the things I’m good at and not try to force myself to make plays that might be a stretch.”
NIce job moe. Happy Thanksgiving! Americans seem to care lots more than we do. I call it a dress rehearsal for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteAlso it's 4am my time, just got home, hammered. Won't be joining tomorrow's game live. But...
Go Habs Go!
Thx O-man.
DeleteMarty just scored hist 1,000th.
ReplyDelete*points that is.
DeleteNice catCH.

ReplyDeleteAnyone see 2 sabres holding DDD, on on each side of him? 'cause the refs didn't.
ReplyDeleteOh boy, kill it.
ReplyDeleteWTF are the refs doing now, they chased him from the penalty box, escorted him out for misconduct.
ReplyDeleteSo Prust gets sent to the box for un-sportsman, probably told the ref a thing or two about that and then gets a misconduct .
ReplyDeleteJust finished watching Blade Runner. What did I miss?
ReplyDeleteGYFHG!!!
ReplyDelete*turns on TV*
Please tell me Enroth is playing like a brick wall. Sigh.

MT is still mouthing at the ref and wanted wtf is that penalties with CHarger all about? RDS said he was also asking at the begining of the 3rd.
ReplyDeleteRDS says the internal announcers made a mistake on the call on CHarger, it was actually a match penalty not a mis-conduct.
ReplyDeleteStats still show 10mins for mis-conduct.
DeleteSome good chances. HANG ON BOYS!!!
ReplyDeleteGio wanted to kill (Y) after that one, not sure if his shoulder got his head?
ReplyDeleteBetter kill it, boys.
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!
OH FFS, TFS!
ReplyDeleteThat was a flukey bounce, off the back no chance for TFS.
ReplyDeleteOh Carey.
ReplyDeleteThat end was a heart-breaker.
ReplyDeleteOh Fuck! I had to laugh when the the playby play guy said "Myers has been having trouble with DDD all night" I have been having trouble with DDD all season.
ReplyDelete"illegal check to the head" I think (Y) may be getting a call.
ReplyDeletebroons over jets 2-1 in OT
ReplyDeleteWings 5-4 over NJ in SO
Deletemediots vultures are going to have a field day.
ReplyDeleteLooking at the replay, Gio was slightly bent and had his head down - DoP may consider that.
ReplyDeleteFLA 3-2 over Sens
ReplyDeleteVancouver now in 1st, Habs 2nd....if the refs penalized Burrows for his head shot to (Y)........
ReplyDeleteCanes 4-2 over Pens.
ReplyDeleteMeh. Barfalo again tomorrow. Meh again.
ReplyDeleteWow, one fluky bounce at the end of the game...
ReplyDeleteBut to be honest the guys should have put it away by then. Loved all the talk about how MT was trying new things on the PP. Has he tried *not* playing DD for the whole 2 minutes of every PP? I would suggest starting there.
As for (Y)'s hit, Gio is bent over and spinning. What's a defenceman to do?
